Adrian silently stood up from his spot near the roaring fire. He just looked up at the unfamiliar, starry sky for a brief moment before he turned and walked over to the bamboo hut he had recently set up.

Aria, Serena, and Claire quietly followed right behind him.

Once he walked inside, he looked around the place. It was basically just one huge room attached to a much smaller room. That smaller room was the washroom with a place to bath and take a dump. It was more advanced than what the primitive continent locals used and it even had its own water flushing system. But since the drainage didn’t really go anywhere out here, there was a small spatial cabin attached to the bottom pipe with an open Dungeon Door that sent all of the waste directly into his dungeon.

Adrian looked at the huge bed resting in the center of the main room.

It was slightly different from the one in his massive bedroom back in Oresfall. The difference wasn’t in the size, but entirely in the materials. This one was mostly just made from bamboo woven tightly in the middle, held together by thick supporting beams.

It could easily hold the combined weight of all four of them. But it just was not as rigid or strong as the premium hardwood bed frame back in his territory.

Adrian sat down heavily on the woven mattress while Serena stood right where she was and looked at him.

Claire looked at Serena and leaned over.

"Should I leave?" she whispered.

"No, it is fine," Serena smiled softly. "I don’t mind telling you about it."

Serena looked down at her hands resting on her lap.

"The local priest back home told us that I have the ability to summon. He told us that anything I summon will be considerably stronger than usual. But as for my curse... they did not tell me what my curse actually is."

Adrian nodded slowly.

"As for my curse, I only know that it is something related to bad luck," Serena continued. "They didn’t specify what it is or how it triggers. But up until now, I haven’t really seen much bad luck in my life."

"I see."

Adrian leaned back slightly.

"Is it fine if I look into the details myself?"

"I don’t mind."

Adrian nodded and immediately looked into his system interface.

’You have all of the mana that you stored from every single person in Oresfall, right?’

[Affirmative. All of the mana absorbed by various citizens from your territory has been stored and is being continually updated every single day.]

’Good. Show me Serena’s... tell me exactly about Serena’s curse and her blessing.’

[Information on Serena Ashford]

[last updated: 143 Days Ago.]

[Divine Blessing: Every summoned creature will have fifty percent boosted attributes.]

[Demonic Curse: When summoning unfamiliar creatures, the user’s luck will be drained proportionately to the strength of the summoned creature.]

Seeing this, Adrian perfectly understood why everything happened the way it happened in the original novel.

’Okay, no wonder.’ he thought to himself.

Duke Silas had forcefully performed a dark ritual in the original timeline. Even though it wasn’t explicitly written in the novel, Adrian was pretty sure that Silas made Serena cast the spell herself to summon that high-ranking demon. She probably asked for the wish herself too. Since the summoning was boosted by her blessing, the wish she made was also probably boosted.

And even though the bad karma of sacrificing thousands of people played a massive part in her family’s downfall, the demon she summoned was ridiculously strong. The sheer amount of luck her curse drained from her after that event was insane.

At this point, he didn’t even know if her family getting entirely wiped out in the novel was mostly because of the bad karma or because her curse drained her luck dry.

Adrian looked back at her.

’Talking about demons.. now that I’ve already met one, I feel like the so called ’demons’ we are used to are some other beings. I’ll have to ask chief tomorrow about this...’ he thought before he spoke to Serena. "Your blessing allows you to make whoever you summon stronger by a considerable amount. But if you summon a creature that you are unfamiliar with, it drains your luck based on how strong that creature is."

Serena just smiled softly at him.

"Well, it doesn’t really matter. I don’t really know how to summon anything anyway. My dad does know how to summon a demon, but it is not like we are going to do that."

Adrian nodded.

"That is true. Even I don’t have any summoning magic."

He frowned slightly and thought about it.

’System, is there any information on summoning magic, or a specific method to summon any creature?’

[There are records of summoning magic existing in history, but there are no guides or specific techniques that teach the user how to utilize it.]

’Okay then. I will think about that later.’

His gaze immediately fell on Aria, who was sitting near the edge of the bamboo bed.

’Right, I can just ask her. She probably has something in her head.’

He looked directly at Aria.

"Want to go out on a night stroll?"

Aria nodded happily.

"Yes, Papa."

Adrian stood up and picked her up. He easily placed her up on his broad shoulders before he looked back at his wife and Claire.

"I will be back in a bit."

Even though both Claire and Serena fully knew that he didn’t really want to talk about Aria’s hidden blessings or curses in front of them, neither of them complained. They just nodded and smiled, and Adrian was incredibly thankful for their understanding.

He walked out of the bamboo hut.

While the tribesmen were still gathered around the roaring fire and doing their own thing, Adrian just walked around the outer edges of the camp.

As he walked, she put her hands forward and he held them firmly so that she wouldn’t accidentally fall backwards off his shoulders.
