"Well, they did," Karina said. "One of them did, at least. But the rest of the knights just told him that it is a good thing that you were being late, and that your laziness will give them a massive head start. They pressured me into sending them off first."

She shrugged and looked at the two large wooden tables.

"Do you want me to help you tidy these up?"

Adrian shook his head. "Nah, I can manage. It is not that big of an issue."

He just placed his hand on the remaining pile of sausages and they instantly disappeared into his spatial ring. Then, one by one, the two tables also vanished into thin air.

He looked at Karina. "Well, take me and my people to our quarters for the night. Wherever we are going to sleep."

"Right away." she said and headed towards the building.

A few minutes later, Adrian followed behind Karina along with his entire team. As she walked towards the large hostel building, she couldn’t help but turn around and look at Adrian and everyone else.

"We have rooms of multiple sizes," Karina explained. "There are small individual ones, but most of them are already occupied, so there are only two of those remaining. Then there are the larger ones. There are rooms that you can share with two people that have two separate beds, and there are also rooms for two that have one single large bed. And finally, there are massive rooms that can comfortably hold around four people and have multiple beds, or one extremely big bed."

Adrian nodded. "Okay then."

He looked at Claire, Serena, and Aria.

"I will take a room for four with one extremely big bed."

Karina nodded and looked at the others.

Octavia looked at Vance before making the decision for them. "We will take a room for two. Separate beds, please."

Draven raised a hand. "Sigrid and I will also take a room for two, but with a single bed."

The last two S-rank knights looked at each other awkwardly. Zara turned to look at Kaelen and and then quickly looked at Karina. "Separate individual rooms for us, please."

Karina nodded, keeping track of their needs as she continued to walk.

"Okay. Separate single rooms for the two of you. One room for two with two separate beds, one room for two with one big bed, and one room for four with one single massive bed. Did I get it right?"

Adrian nodded. "Yes, you got it right."

As they spoke, Aria basically kept her eyes entirely locked onto Karina, her gaze practically boring into the back of the poor girl’s head.

As they walked behind her, Aria watched as everyone got sorted into their rooms one by one down the long hallway. At last, Karina led the four of them to the large room at the very end of the hall.

Adrian stopped right in front of the door.

"I will be right back."

He walked back down the hall toward the room where Octavia and Vance had taken, and knocked on the wooden door.

Vance opened the door and Adrian glanced inside before looking directly at him.

"I know that Karina told you that the concentration of ambient mana in this place is double what we are used to back in Oresfall. But I want you to rest for the night. Do not stress yourselves by trying to meditate and train. One single night of training isn’t going to do much anyway, and it is much more useful if you aren’t exhausted and sleepy by tomorrow."

Vance nodded. He looked back over his shoulder at Octavia.

"See? I told you."

Octavia just shook her head and looked a little embarrassed. "I will do exactly as you say, my lord."

Adrian nodded his head in approval.

He walked over to the room belonging to Draven and Sigrid, but before he could even raise his hand to knock, he heard a few very distinct, muffled sounds coming from the other side of the door.

Those sounds immediately gave him a very clear answer that he should absolutely not knock on the door right now.

"Yup. Not happening. Maybe he’ll have another child by the end of this year at this point..." he muttered.

With those two out of the equation, and considering the fact that the final two were basically just standard S-rank knights who couldn’t really absorb ambient mana like mages could anyway, he didn’t bother talking to them either.

The reasoning was simple. It did not really matter how much ambient mana was in the atmosphere for knights. The amount of mana they could take in was solely dependent on their bodies’ internal blood flow and their proficiency with their breathing methods. The external concentration of mana in the atmosphere would not change that physical limit.

They already knew that. It was a very basic thing taught in the Knights Academy. Adrian knew it because his half-brother had attended the Knights Academy, and Adrian had had the luxury of skimming through his brother’s expensive books before the whole transmigration happened. Luckily for Adrian, his still remembered the bits and pieces clearly.

Without bothering about it anymore, Adrian walked back into his own assigned room.

He saw that the girls were actually already fast asleep on the massive bed.

He looked at them, sighed softly, and locked the door behind him. He took his place on the bed right on the far edge, because that was literally the only space remaining. On the far left was Serena. Beside her in the middle was Aria, and beside Aria was Claire. The only open space left was right beside Claire on the far right end.

Adrian slipped quietly under the sheets and immediately fell asleep.

While he hadn’t really shopped and walked around like the others, it did take a massive mental toll on him from doing all the bartering and calculations of the exact value of various magical items all day. It was mostly due to sheer excitement, but all good things had their limits.
