The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter
Chapter 432: Bold Claire
The girl nodded eagerly. "Can I get a discount for myself?"
Adrian laughed. "Well, I can just give you the meat completely for free if you bring me enough customers. If you bring me a massive crowd, I will give you a kilogram or two for free."
The girl immediately jumped up in excitement, skipping in place.
"You are very, very generous! Just give me a few minutes! No, wait, not a few minutes. Take your time to look around. It will probably take me around three hours, and in three hours you will see a massive crowd. I will also bring you the official permits required to set up a stall. You do not really need to own or rent a building to sell things here, you can always set up a temporary stall as long as you have a pass and I will bring you the pass."
She pointed to the ground.
"So until then, do not set anything up yet. Meet me right here in three hours."
"Sure," Adrian nodded. "I will be waiting. Take your time."
Adrian watched as she sprinted away down the street. He turned to look at Claire, Serena, and Aria.
"So I am guessing that you guys want to go shopping?"
Aria nodded enthusiastically. "I want to buy a lot of toys and dolls and maybe a few magical things!"
Adrian smiled. "Sure, you can buy whatever you want."
He took out a silver spatial ring from his dungeon storage and handed it directly to Aria. Then he looked up at the other two girls.
"Feel free to go shopping and buy whatever you want. Inside that ring, there are around a thousand mana crystals for you to buy whatever you want. You do not have to worry about going over budget or using up everything. Just buy whatever catches your eye, and even if you use up all of the mana crystals, you can just come back to me and I will give you more."
The girls immediately nodded together. They looked at each other with bright smiles and started walking away toward the shops.
As Adrian watched them walk away, Claire suddenly turned around. She ran right back over to him, grabbed him by the shirt, and gave him a hard, quick kiss on his cheek before turning around and running back to the others.
Experiencing something so sudden in public, Adrian couldn’t help but feel a slight blush creep up on his face.
He just shook his head with a slight smile. "She is unbelievable."
He turned around, looked down the colorful buildings, and randomly picked a blacksmith shop to walk inside.
Three hours passed quickly. Adrian casually browsed through different stores, buying whatever he found fancy or interesting without really thinking about the price.
When the three hours were finally up, he walked out of one of the apothecaries and saw the guide girl standing right where she promised.
And she had a massive, chaotic crowd of mages standing right behind her.
Adrian walked over with an excited smile.
She grinned at him and handed him a small wooden plaque. "Here is the pass. You can set up a stall over there near that tree."
Adrian turned to look at a really thick but short tree nearby. He nodded and walked over to the shade. He brought out a large, sturdy wooden table from his dungeon and placed it on the ground, right in front of the tree.
With a simple snap of his fingers, massive cuts of meat appeared.
It looked almost like an entire cow’s carcass had been properly butchered and neatly placed on the table. That filled up the entire right side of the table.
With another snap of his fingers, a huge pile of thick sausages appeared on the left side.
Adrian looked at the skeptical crowd of mages.
"Feel free to inspect the meat before you buy! Everything here is one hundred percent pure monster meat which has been fully treated and cured. You do not have to worry about the extra costs or effort required to make it edible. You can cook it exactly like regular beef. And yes, this is a specific monster cow breed, and I have personally purified the meat myself."
Most of the crowd still looked incredibly skeptical, but a few of them stepped forward and started to inspect the cuts.
As soon as they extended their senses and realized that there was pure mana infused inside, and that the meat wasn’t incredibly tough or toxic like normal monster flesh, the atmosphere shifted instantly.
One of the mages stepped forward and slammed a large leather pouch onto the table. It was so completely filled with gold coins that a few spilled out from the top.
Adrian, seeing this, just shook his head.
"I don’t accept gold coins."
He looked back at the petite guide who had brought him to the Magic Tower.
"What is your name, by the way?"
"My name is Karina," she said brightly.
Adrian nodded. "Okay, Karina. Did you not tell these people that I am not accepting gold coins or even mana crystals? Well, I don’t mind accepting mana crystals, actually, but no gold."
Karina frowned. "I did tell them."
She glared at the woman who had just put the bag of gold coins on the table.
"Do you have hearing issues or is there something wrong with your brain?"
The woman went bright red with embarrassment. "Sorry! I just got excited when I saw his meat!"
She frantically grabbed her bag of gold.
"I was also very skeptical, so I didn’t bring anything useful with me to trade! I will go bring it right now!"
She broke away from the front of the line and started sprinting back down the street. Right after that, a massive wave of realization hit the crowd. Almost ninety percent of the mages turned around and rushed back toward their dormitories to grab their valuables.
Seeing this, Adrian let out a soft sigh. "Well, at least they will be coming back in a bit..."
