Chapter 417: Ultra Upgrades

"Well, the door is locked," Adrian noted.

When Serena heard him say that the door was locked, she finally spoke up.

"Adrian?"

He looked at her. "Yeah?"

"We have three weeks before we need to go to that mage thing," Serena said slowly before correcting herself. "Before we need to go to that different continent that you talked about."

Adrian nodded.

"Why don’t we train for three weeks straight?" Serena asked softly. "I do not think we will have the privacy to do it once we get there, and we also do not know how long it will take or how long we will be staying there."

Adrian just stared at her.

"So... you want to go at it for three weeks straight?"

Serena, who already had a bright red face, just nodded firmly before looking straight down at the floor.

Adrian took a slow, deep breath.

’My two little eggs only have a limited supply. How the heck am I supposed to go on for three weeks straight? I am not the protagonist of a smut novel.’

Just as he thought that, his system screen flashed in front of his face.

[Congratulations. You have met the prerequisites to upgrade your system.]

[Would you like to upgrade the system to the ’Ultimate Daddy System’?]

[If you proceed with the upgrade, here are the perks that you will receive:]

[1. Increased stamina based on the number of SSS-Rank Dungeons under the host. (This stamina increase will be effective for both sexual activities and everyday life use cases).]

[2. Option to permanently increase girth has been enabled. (Host’s length is already much higher than the average).]

[3. Massively increased sexual recovery and production of semen.]

[4. Increased production of testosterone.]

[5. Permanent increase in all physical stats by 20%.]

[6. Body Reconstruction Stage 1: Pathway - Ascended Human.]

Adrian just stared at the system screen. The one thing that made him question it was the very last line.

’What is an Ascended Human? Aren’t I already an ascended human considering the fact that I am a... well, a mid ranking knight? Maybe this means something else entirely.’

He frowned slightly.

’Is there any drawbacks for this? Will I lose any of my skills that I already have?’

[The host will not lose any skills. The upgrade simply adds an extra branch to the base system that you already possess. Once you make the marriage official, the transformation will be complete, and your system will evolve once again into the ’Ultimate Family System’.]

’Ultimate family, huh?’ Adrian thought. ’Well, I guess that is fine as long as I do not lose the stuff that I already have.’

He focused on the prompt. ’Okay then. I accept the upgrade.’

Instantly, right in front of Claire and Serena, Adrian started to bleed.

Thick, dark blood suddenly poured out of his nostrils.

Both girls immediately stood up from their chairs in shock at the suddenness of it and Claire reached for her sword hilt out of instinct even though she saw no enemies.

Adrian quickly raised his hand. "Do not worry about me! Just... let me take care of this myself."

He sat perfectly straight on the bed, crossed his legs into a meditative pose, and started to take deep, rhythmic breaths.

The blood continued to pour out. Every time he exhaled, the blood literally spurted out of his nose, sending small droplets flying onto the wooden floor.

The two girls watched in silence as multiple glowing bluish lines started to appear all over Adrian’s skin. It looked almost as if his actual veins and arteries had begun to brightly glow with mana.

Then, his hair began to visibly grow longer. His normally well shaven jaw rapidly sprouted a thick beard. His mustache, which wasn’t exactly as thick as his beard normally, also started to grow much, much thicker.

Inside his body, Adrian could feel his bones shattering in hundreds of thousands of microscopic places. They were all minute, hairline fractures, but the pain was immense. He felt his muscles flex and bulge so violently that it felt like the actual muscle fibers were tearing themselves apart just to rebuild stronger.

But as much as the agonizing pain spiked, it didn’t stay there for long.

The pain quickly subsided, replaced by a calm, cooling energy spreading outward from his chest. As he inhaled more and more ambient mana, circulating it deep inside his body, he felt much, much better.

After almost an entire hour of meditation, he felt completely recovered and incredibly rejuvenated.

He opened his eyes. The very first things he saw were two new system notifications hovering right in front of his face.

He looked slightly to the right at the other notification.

[Congratulations on upgrading your Mana Veins.]

Seeing this, Adrian couldn’t help but stare blankly at the system screens.

’Okay... this is extremely unexpected.’

He mentally swiped the notifications away.

’Show me my status screen, please.’

The first thing that Adrian noticed, was the fact that his title was still Baron. Seeing this, he couldn’t help but ask his system why.

’System. Why is my title still Baron?’

[While the host currently holds the power of an Emperor, the public does not know of this. The people of your land still believe that you’re just a Baron.]

’Ah okay.’ Adrian thought and looked at the rest of the information.

’A Rank Knight huh... and on top of that, my mana veins also jumped twice. Hmm... my magic circle didn’t, but I guess I’ll need to just train for that.’ he thought before looking up at Claire and Serena.
