The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter

Chapter 378: Is He Finally Dead?

  • Next Chapter

Adrian unleashed his Plasma Laser spell. He fired four condensed blasts of pure plasma by combining Gust, Flameburst, and Thunderburst directly from his fingertips.

At the exact same time, Gabriel’s fist slammed brutally into Adrian’s face, instantly breaking his nose.

But Gabriel didn’t get out unharmed. He took all four plasma blasts at point-blank range.

Adrian’s spell cleanly pierced Gabriel’s heart twice, and burned two more gaping holes straight through the Apostle’s lungs.

Gabriel staggered backward and coughed up a massive mouthful of blood, but the arrogant grin on his face did not disappear. His boosted regeneration immediately kicked in, bubbling around the fatal wounds.

Adrian just took this momentary distraction to cast Gust and frantically run away to create distance.

But right at that exact second, Gabriel felt a sudden, unnatural chill run down his spine.

The Apostle immediately turned around, only to see a brief, shadowy blur.

A fraction of a second later, both of Gabriel’s arms completely detached from his shoulders and fell to the dirt. His torso just pitched forward, while his severed legs remained standing in place for a second before finally tipping to the sides.

The Apostle’s limbs had been cleanly, flawlessly chopped off in less than half a second, and he couldn’t even react to it.

Milo stood there, his short swords dripping with blood. The terrified looking kid had acted like he was afraid, waited for the right moment, and finally activated his extremely broken blessing: The Executioner’s Domain.

Adrian, looking at the pleasant scene, yelled out as he wiped the blood off his face.

"Good fucking job, Milo!"

Adrian immediately raised both of his hands, aiming all ten of his fingers directly at Gabriel’s torso lying on the ground. His mana core had been heavily drained by just that one single instance of using four plasma lasers at the same time, but his mana reserves were the least of his worries right now.

After all, he never really had to worry about running about of mana.

He shot the plasma spell forward again.

Gabriel, currently just a bleeding torso on the ground, immediately put up his golden mana shield.

But even this divine shield. the exact same barrier that had effortlessly stopped hundreds of rifle bullets, could not stop Adrian’s highly condensed plasma lazer spell.

Adrian’s spell slammed into the golden shield. The barrier rippled violently for exactly one second before completely shattering like glass.

The plasma lasers smacked directly into Gabriel’s body. One of the searing beams went straight through the Apostle’s cheekbone.

Adrian didn’t stop. He fired two to three more times with both of his hands, leaving the Apostle’s body with multiple, smoldering holes right then and there.

Adrian finally lowered his hands, breathing heavily. He slowly walked forward to check if Gabriel was finally dead.

He stood over the brutalized corpse and watched. The body didn’t twitch, it didn’t regenerate, and it didn’t move. He just stared at the remains for around ten seconds before he finally let out a soft, exhausted sigh.

"He’s finally dead," Adrian muttered.

He turned his head to look at the unconscious kids on the ground.

"Ah, I really didn’t want to involve these guys," Adrian sighed, feeling a little guilty.

He looked over at Milo, who was panting, and Hugo, who was also panting and sweating from the pain transfer.

"Take them back to the medical tents," Adrian said softly. "Take them back to the camp and get them patched up right now."

Right at that exact moment, Adrian saw a small figure flying over the battlefield toward him.

It was Aria.

Adrian instantly panicked. He immediately looked around in all directions, scanning the battlefield to make sure there wasn’t anyone dangerous nearby who could attacl her.

Seeing that the area was clear of high-rank enemies, his panic subsided. But the very first thing he felt after the fear was intense irritation and anger. Why the hell did Kaelen and Zara let her fly over into the middle of the battlefield like this?

But then he saw the two S-rank knights frantically sprinting right behind Aria, looking terrified and panicked themselves.

Aria dropped out of the sky, crashed directly into Adrian’s chest, and hugged him as tight as her small arms could manage.

Adrian’s anger and annoyance immediately melted away.

He just hugged her back tightly, gently patting the back of her head with his bloody hand.

She sniffled against his armor and then just started crying.

Adrian let out a soft sigh and continued gently patting her hair. He completely understood where she was coming from, and he deeply regretted that he had even allowed her to watch such a brutal, terrifying fight. After all, what child would ever want to see their beloved parent getting beaten to a pulp in a situation where they could actually die? It wasn’t exactly good for her mental health, but he also knew that she was an incredibly stubborn brat.

Adrian leaned down and gently kissed the top of her head.

"Don’t worry, sweetie," Adrian whispered softly. "Papa is fine. I took care of him, okay?"

Aria, hearing his gentle, reassuring voice, nodded against his chestplate.

"Papa," Aria sniffled, looking up at him with teary eyes. "Please let me fight with you next time. I don’t want to see you getting beaten up like that again."

This time, Adrian did not give her any empty promises. He just hummed noncommittally and gently patted the back of her head again.

"Mhm..."

He then looked up and saw Kaelen and Zara standing just a few feet away. The two S-rank knights looked incredibly nervous and guilty for letting his daughter slip away from them.

But suddenly, Adrian noticed their expressions drastically shift.

All of their nervousness completely evaporated in an instant. Replacing the guilt was a look of sheer alertness and fear.

Zara opened her mouth and screamed.

"Lord Adrian, behind you!"

Adrian immediately pushed Aria away from him and whipped around.

Gabriel was back up on his feet.
