"The reason why you guys want me gone isn’t because of the ’grand fate’ of this world, is it?" Adrian muttered slowly. "Why would any of you actually care about the random fate of mere humans when you are supposedly gods, right? Humans are, after all, beneath you."

Gabriel just stared at Adrian in silence.

"The real reason you want me gone is because of all the positive karma I’ve accidentally accumulated, isn’t it?" Adrian continued, a smirk pulling at his lips. "I’ve helped so many fucking people in Oresfall. I modernized a territory, stopped mass starvation, and built an army of loyal knights out of peasants, giving them a dream of greatness and strength. And now you gods are scared."

Adrian took a step forward.

"You guys see me as a legitimate threat to your influence, and that is exactly why you want me dead. If it was as you said and I was just a random anomaly messing up fate, you guys would have sent an Apostle to attack me the second I woke up in this world. But that never happened, did it?"

Gabriel didn’t say a single word, and instead, he just dashed forward.

Adrian immediately raised his arms to defend himself, but Gabriel was simply much, much faster than he was before. If the Apostle’s speed and physical capabilities were hovering around the top of the B-rank and the bottom rung of the A-rank before, then burning his vessel’s lifespan had officially pushed him straight into the S-rank territory.

But Adrian honestly couldn’t even tell whether it was S-rank, SS-rank, or SSS-rank. The only true powerhouses he had ever fought properly were the High Elves, and even those guys had just been casually messing around. He didn’t have a solid reference point for this level of sheer speed.

Adrian felt the heavy punch slam into his raised left arm.

CRACK.

He felt his bone crack even under the enchanted armor.

Adrian gritted his teeth against the pain and immediately used Gust to dash backward, but unlike before, Gabriel effortlessly caught up to him.

Adrian frantically extended his invisible mana threads backward, to the sides, and even directly in front of him, threading them blindly through the chaotic battlefield to act as a telekinetic radar. He used Gust to its fullest extent, firing blasts from his boots and his right palm, trying his best to just create any sort of distance.

But it was barely enough.

It did just enough to keep him from getting instantly pummeled to death. Gabriel managed to land one or two grazing shots every few seconds, but thanks to Adrian’s chaotic, unpredictable flying dashes, the Apostle didn’t have the capability to hold Adrian down.

And just like that, Adrian’s mana thread radar finally found the one single person he wanted the most right now.

He had been blindly searching the battlefield for an entire minute.

Adrian immediately changed his trajectory and sprinted directly toward Hugo.

As he ran toward Hugo, he sent a quick message through the mana string.

"Hugo! Heal me the moment i get to you, and do it with your full strength! I need the healing to be done as soon as possible!"

Hugo, currently standing near the middle of the Oresfall formation, heard the command and immediately nodded.

Adrian quickly sent a few more telepathic messages to the others who were fighting nearby.

"Octavia! Vance! Tessa! Milo! Converge on Hugo right now!"

The four teens immediately broke off from their current fights and sprinted toward Hugo.

The moment Adrian rushed past them in a blur with the help of his wind magic, Octavia and Vance didn’t hesitate. They stepped up and dashed forward directly toward the pursuing Gabriel to intercept him.

Hugo reached out and placed his hand firmly on Adrian’s shoulder as he stopped.

He immediately activated his strongest healing spell, and almost instantly, Hugo felt his arms violently shake as the agonizing pain of Adrian’s snapped arm and all the other minor damage flooded directly into his own body, but he kept going. He grit his teeth and absorbed it all as he continued healing.

Meanwhile, Gabriel didn’t even slow down.

The Apostle effortlessly slipped past Octavia’s blood-red sword slash as the blood from her swords flew all over the place and punched her directly in the stomach. He then grabbed her by the face, and viciously slammed her back-first into the dirt. Just those two rapid moves, and the terrifying Moon Princess didn’t get back up.

As for Vance, the Hellfire Berserker swung his Frost-Fire Guandao with everything he had. Luckily, Vance’s blessing didn’t heavily rely on the time of day like Octavia’s did. With his artificially boosted stats from his enchanted heavy armor and weapon, Vance actually managed to hold his own ground against the S-rank Apostle for exactly twenty seconds before a heavy kick to the knee and a strong punch to the back of his head sent him tumbling into the exact same unconscious state as Octavia.

Tessa tried to step in and act as a human shield, but she didn’t even last two hits. Even though her blessing gave her an automatic fifty percent boost to her physical endurance, she was out cold with just one single, devastating punch to her jaw.

Milo just stood off to the side like a frozen statue. He was completely unable to move his body out of sheer, overwhelming terror. Or atleast, that was what it looked like.

Gabriel didn’t even bother with the kid, and he just walked right past him and stopped directly in front of Adrian.

Adrian had successfully used the precious twenty seconds the teens bought him to fully heal his broken arm and recover his breath.

The two men just stared at each other for a split second.

Adrian immediately raised his right hand, and Gabriel did the exact same thing.

One of them had four fingers outstretched like a gun, directly aimed at the other’s chest. The other had a fist with metal knuckles flying straight forward toward a face.
