Chapter 231: Chapter 231: Snatching the Blood of the Divine Fetus
「Royal Family Conference Hall, early morning.」
Inside the magnificent conference hall, the members of the Royal Family Cabinet had already assembled.
Su An’an sat in the seat of honor on the left, holding her two cubs.
Seville’s Golden Wings were slightly unfurled, shielding them at his side.
Ying Jiuyao stood to one side, his tiger tail swishing restlessly.
The hall doors slowly opened, and Anna Feng walked in at a leisurely pace.
She was dressed in the splendid robes of a deep blue Princess, her long black hair cascading down like a waterfall.
A pair of butterfly Wings, black-patterned with gold filaments, unfurled from her back—identical to Queen Jelena’s.
Her deep blue eyes swept over the crowd before finally landing on Su An’an, the corners of her lips curling into a gentle yet insincere smile.
"Anan, don’t be nervous."
she said softly. "I’m just here to prove a few things."
The Royal Priest stepped forward and bowed respectfully.
"Your Highness, please reveal your identity as the Divine Female."
Anna Feng smiled faintly and tapped the Divine Pattern on her collarbone with her fingertip.
In an instant, a sacred golden radiance bloomed, illuminating the entire conference hall.
The Cabinet members gasped in astonishment.
"It really is a Divine Pattern!"
"The Eldest Princess is the true Divine Female!"
"The title of Crown Princess should be hers!"
Anna Feng listened to the crowd’s discussion with satisfaction. She walked slowly toward Su An’an and reached out, feigning gentleness, as if to pat her on the head.
"Anan, you’ve done very well. I’m proud of you."
Su An’an turned her head to avoid the touch, watching her with cold eyes.
Unfazed, Anna Feng turned her gaze to the two cubs in her arms, a flicker of scarlet light flashing in the depths of her deep blue eyes.
"Such adorable children. I can help you take care of them. I’m sure I could raise them even better."
Just as her fingertips were about to touch the cubs, Seville’s Golden Wings snapped shut, completely blocking her movement.
Su An’an sneered, "Eldest Imperial Sister, since you’re so confident, why not let Seville use his Destiny’s Eye to verify your status as the Divine Female?"
The color drained from Anna Feng’s face.
The conference hall fell silent in an instant.
All eyes were fixed on her.
Anna Feng’s head snapped up. A flicker of panic crossed her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by grief and indignation.
"Anan! You just can’t stand to have me here, can you?"
She staggered backward, tears streaming down her face.
"I’ve been wandering for five years. I finally made it back, and you won’t even grant me this last shred of dignity?"
The onlooking crowd instantly erupted in an uproar.
"Heavens, is the Third Princess trying to drive her to her death?"
"Well, the throne is at stake. Even blood sisters have to fight for it!"
"But the Eldest Princess’s Monarch Butterfly bloodline can’t be faked, can it?"
Seville’s Golden Wings spread slightly, shielding Su An’an.
"It’s just a test. What’s there to panic about?"
Anna Feng gave a mournful smile. "Fine, fine! You insist on forcing my hand, is that it?"
She suddenly ripped open her collar, revealing more of the Divine Pattern.
"Look! This is the proof you wanted!"
In an instant, a brilliant golden Divine Light erupted like the scorching sun.
The blinding light enveloped the entire hall in a sacred glow.
Seville had to raise his Golden Wings to shield his eyes.
Even Ying Jiuyao narrowed his tiger-like eyes.
But Su An’an squinted into the dazzling light.
Her sharp gaze caught the flash of crimson-gold light at the edges of the Divine Pattern.
The faint pinprick marks were clearly left by some kind of precision instrument.
’It really is a fake!’
"Eldest Imperial Sister."
Su An’an spoke softly, but every word was like a knife.
"If the Divine Pattern is real, why are you afraid to have it tested?"
Anna Feng swayed, looking at the Queen with tears welling in her eyes.
"Mother! Are you just going to stand there and watch my sister humiliate me like this?"
Queen Jelena’s brow furrowed, her gaze shifting between the two of them.
On one hand was her younger daughter, who had just performed a great service.
On the other, her long-lost eldest daughter.
Just then, Anna Feng suddenly clutched her chest, her face turning deathly pale.
"I... it hurts so much!"
Her body trembled violently as if in immense pain, and then she collapsed to the floor.
"Anna!"
Queen Jelena’s face went pale with shock. She rushed down from her throne, shouting, "Summon the royal physicians, quickly!"
The hall was instantly thrown into chaos.
Attendants scrambled to lift the unconscious Anna Feng, with the Queen following closely behind.
Ying Jiuyao lowered his voice. "She’s faking it."
Su An’an stared in the direction her sister was being carried, a cold smile touching her lips.
"But Mother believed her."
She turned to Seville and said in a low voice,
"Anna Feng’s Divine Pattern was definitely faked for her by Hong Chengtian."
"If we can get a sample of her blood now, we might be able to find a key clue to counteract the Divine Medicine."
Ying Jiuyao’s Golden Wings spread slightly. "I’ll figure something out."
Su An’an nodded, her gaze once again turning toward the medical room where Anna Feng was.
’This show has only just begun!’
Suddenly, the Queen’s heart-wrenching cry rang out.
"Anna! What’s wrong?!"
Su An’an, Seville, and Ying Jiuyao exchanged a look and immediately rushed inside.
They saw Anna Feng bleeding from her eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, her whole body convulsing.
The Queen gripped her hand tightly. "Save her! No matter the cost!"
Ying Jiuyao’s tiger claws clenched. He leaned close to Su An’an’s ear.
"This reaction is too exaggerated. It’s almost as if she’s been poisoned by Hong Chengtian’s Divine Medicine."
Su An’an didn’t speak, her eyes fixed on the Divine Pattern on Anna Feng’s collarbone.
The flowing Golden Light was dimming, and a strange black aura was rising from its edges.
The head royal physician, drenched in sweat, knelt on the floor.
"Your Majesty, the Energy inside the Eldest Princess is in disarray. It’s as if the Divine Pattern is creating a backlash."
"Nonsense!"
the Queen cut him off sharply, her nails digging deep into her palm. "I want you to cure her!"
Seville quietly retreated to a corner, his Wings sweeping quickly over the treatment table.
Su An’an, meanwhile, stepped forward and said with feigned concern, "Mother, let me see."
Just as she was about to get closer, Anna Feng began to convulse violently.
A mouthful of black blood sprayed out, splattering onto the hem of Su An’an’s gown.
She looked at the black blood on her gown, a cold glint in her eyes.
’The color of this black blood... it’s identical to the venom found inside a Mutant Beast.’
The royal physician suddenly dropped to his knees, trembling.
"To save Princess Anna, unless... unless we use the blood of the Divine Fetus..."
Everyone’s gaze instantly focused on the cubs in Su An’an’s arms.
Su An’an took a step back, her butterfly wings fully unfurling to shield the cubs in her arms. She questioned the physician in a cold voice,
"Why would the blood of the Divine Fetus be able to save her?"
Cold sweat beaded on the physician’s forehead.
"Your Highness, the blood of the Divine Fetus contains Purification Power. It can neutralize all poisons and curses."
"Princess Anna is suffering a backlash from her Divine Pattern. Only divine blood from the same lineage can alleviate it."
Su An’an instantly understood Hong Chengtian’s scheme.
’He was using Anna Feng’s life to trade for the divine blood of the cubs, all to control their fate.’
The Queen looked at the cubs’ adorable faces, then squeezed her eyes shut and said with a tremor in her voice,
"There is no need to draw blood! Use every means to save Anna!"
Anna Feng struggled to grab her mother’s hand, tears streaming down her face like rain.
"Mother, you always loved me most."
Her nails dug deep into the Queen’s wrist.
"Am I not even worth a single drop of blood?"
The Queen’s pupils constricted.
In the void, the scarlet threads of the Destiny Snake coiled around her neck, slithering along her veins.
Queen Jelena’s expression gradually grew vacant. As she looked at the cubs in Su An’an’s arms, her gaze was now filled with a struggling desire.
