The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 2387: You Drove Well—Don’t Drive Again Next Time

  • Next Chapter

Caleb Dax’s face turned from flushed red to now pale blue as he hurriedly took the water, tilted his head back, and gulped down most of the bottle.

The water helped suppress the vomiting feeling, and he finally caught his breath.

After his breathing became somewhat regular, Caleb Dax returned the water to him, managed a bitter smile, and patted him on the shoulder: "Young man, your car driving skills are pretty good... don’t drive next time!"

His old life nearly ended here!

Vincent Moore looked innocent, holding the water while standing there.

Caleb Dax looked at him, wanted to say something but hesitated. Ultimately, he was defeated and said to him: "Let’s go, let’s go in and check on Q."

"Q?" Vincent Moore was a bit surprised to hear him call Nathalie Quinlan ’Q,’ but Caleb Dax had already walked ahead. He suppressed the strange feeling in his heart and quickly followed.

Caleb Dax arrived in time to perform surgery on Nathalie Quinlan, and the surgery proceeded very smoothly.

He removed the bullet fragments from Nathalie Quinlan’s shoulder, during which Nathalie did not request any anesthetic, remaining awake throughout the procedure.

The surgery was accepted, and Caleb Dax left the operating room.

The group waiting in the corridor had not left, except for Mrs. Sullivan, who due to her old age couldn’t endure the night and went back to wait for news. The others were still there outside, waiting for the final results.

Amadeus Yancey spoke first this time: "Mr. Dax, how is she?"

"The surgery was very successful, her right hand was saved." Caleb Dax took off his mask, threw it into the trash, and continued, looking at the man with his eyes: "Her hand is saved, but this new injury combined with the old ones is still very dangerous, there can’t be a next time. If there is another time, even Hua Tuo coming back couldn’t save her hand. I’ve told her, but she surely won’t take it to heart; you should talk to her privately, she’ll listen to you a bit."

Amadeus Yancey had a solemn face and said in a deep voice: "I know."

Caleb Dax looked at him, withdrew his gaze, and shook his head: "Doesn’t she know how precious her hand is? If something happens... sigh! I’m saying she won’t listen, so you’d better talk to her! But the patient needs some time to recuperate; don’t disturb her in the first few days, let her recover well. This matter is not urgent, take your time to find an opportunity."

Amadeus Yancey responded with a hum and asked Vincent Moore to take him to the hotel.

Nicholas Fuller, Orson Saban, and the others relaxed quite a bit upon hearing the good news.

Amadeus Yancey arranged for Alfred Garland to send them all back and also reminded them not to mention Nathalie Quinlan’s injury to anyone.

Once his arrangements were mostly complete, and people had mostly left.

Emma Gabehart had been leaning against the wall waiting for people to leave, then straightened her leg, picked up her handbag, and walked towards the man...

Sadam Vinson reached out to stop her: "What are you doing."

Emma Gabehart deftly bypassed him, ignored him, and still walked towards Amadeus Yancey.

Amadeus Yancey’s peripheral vision caught sight of her, his strikingly beautiful face devoid of additional expressions, his eyes quite cold, indicating a low pressure all around.

Emma Gabehart herself wasn’t afraid, walked up to him and handed the black handbag towards the man: "Sun’s computer."

Amadeus Yancey did not reach out to take it for a long time, instead he looked at her coldly: "You really have the guts to come find me. Do you know what I want you to pay now?"

Sadam Vinson panicked and hurried over to stop him: "Amadeus! This matter has nothing to do with her, you couples arguing don’t involve others."

It was the first time someone had stood in front of Emma Gabehart and spoken for her, she was stunned for a moment, and then she lowered her gaze, pulling him away.
