Chapter 143: Chapter 142: Undead-style Vehicle

Accompanied by the enthusiastic Undead Minion, Gu Su took a leisurely stroll through the processing plant. As his eyes swept over the busy Undead Craftsmen and the mountains of mechanical wreckage, he instantly understood what he most needed to acquire at this stage.

Vehicles.

Not the finished products that had undergone complex Undead Transformations and boasted flashy features, but rather the base models—vehicles the Undead Craftsmen had just finished repairing, with no subsequent modifications yet.

Gu Su identified the plant’s specialty at a glance. After all, a vast portion of the factory floor was dedicated to dismantling, piecing together, and repairing all sorts of vehicle wreckage. The air, thick with the smell of rust and motor oil intermingled with the Yin Qi of the Undead, only intensified the plant’s post-apocalyptic Undead atmosphere.

To Gu Su’s further satisfaction, the vehicle prices here were completely transparent, with no exorbitant markups.

To erase the bad impression from his earlier offense, the Undead Minion had even offered a discount. He assured Gu Su that as long as his demands weren’t too outrageous, he could properly arrange everything, from vehicle selection to any minor follow-up requests.

Gu Su’s request was simple and direct, with no intention of giving him a hard time. "I’m buying vehicles. You have to guarantee they can run properly. Don’t talk to me about gasoline, diesel, or anything of the sort."

He paused, then added in an even tone, "I don’t have any of that fuel stockpiled. Even if I did, it would eventually run out. You need to help me solve the energy problem.

"As for other modifications, I can handle those myself. You don’t need to worry about it."

To Gu Su’s surprise, the processing plant actually had a solution for the energy problem he’d raised.

The Undead Minion didn’t even blink, immediately recommending a special piece of equipment.

After learning more about it, Gu Su immediately decided to make the purchase, spending 7,000 Gold Coins on a device that was a uniform, matte, grayish-white.

Twisted Fuel Processing Machine.

[Twisted Fuel Processing Machine (White): Can convert energy sources such as gasoline, diesel, electricity, Yin Qi, coal, and wood into a twisted fuel at a one-to-one ratio.]

According to the Undead Minion, the twisted fuel produced by the Twisted Fuel Processing Machine was extremely versatile and could be used in everything from ordinary civilian vehicles to modified machinery.

Even some small, mechanical Mobile Cities could run on this twisted fuel, making it one of the most practical and universal energy sources in the Game World.

He also quietly revealed that these Twisted Fuel Processing Machines were rarely sold publicly; the ones they had were forcefully purchased by Lü You from other mechanics-focused players.

The one Gu Su received was secondhand, but it was still fully functional.

With the energy problem solved, Gu Su no longer hesitated. He immediately spent 3,000 Gold Coins and 5,000 units of Metal to buy an assortment of vehicles he had personally watched the Undead Craftsmen repair.

The purchase included five five-seater SUVs. Their bodies were pieced together from corroded alloy plates, the paint long since stripped away. The exposed metal surfaces were riddled with irregular weld seams and bullet holes, as if they were wrecks salvaged from a warzone.

The roof racks were welded together from thick Beast Bones and tightly tanned human skin. Soaked in the Yin Qi of the Undead, the skin was exceptionally tough and provided added protection.

Inside the engine bay, several thick leg bones replaced some of the metal supports, holding the engine firmly in place. These bone supports were wrapped in dense, grayish-black hair that conducted Yin Qi, allowing the engine to start more smoothly.

There were also five five-seater pickup trucks, their cargo beds lined with sharp, welded metal spikes.

The cab windows had been reinforced with bulletproof glass. The truck beds were lined with thick alloy plates, and the side rails were pieced together from sections of rib cages. These rails were wrapped in fine Undead hair to provide a non-slip surface, effectively preventing cargo from sliding off.

The wheels were wider and larger than on a standard pickup. Fragments of hip bones were used inside the hubs to help secure the tires, improving their grip and allowing for smooth driving even on the gravel-strewn apocalyptic roads.

There were three vans, their bodies also made of rusted metal. The windows were sealed with iron bars, leaving only narrow viewing slits. The pivots for the bars were pieced together from small finger bones, replacing rust-prone metal shafts for a more flexible and durable design.

Most of the interior had been stripped out to make room for more Skeletons.

Finally, there were two heavy trucks, true "mobile steel behemoths." Their frames were exceptionally tall, welded together from thick alloy tubes. Broken iron chains were wrapped around their chassis, the links stained with brownish-black gore and dried Undead hair.

The front grille had been replaced with a complete skull. Its jaw was articulated and functioned as the air intake valve, automatically adjusting the airflow based on engine RPM.

A faint, ghostly green Soul Fire flickered in its eye sockets, providing auxiliary lighting. The wheels stood half as tall as a man and were studded with sharp, anti-skid spikes.

The cargo bed was massive, its side rails welded together from the complete spines and ribs of Giant Beasts. They were sturdy and durable, capable of hauling immense quantities of supplies.

This was the largest and most practical fleet of vehicles Gu Su could afford with his limited funds and Resources.

As he walked out of the vehicle storage area, Gu Su had already clearly planned out each vehicle’s purpose in his mind.

’Those two heavy trucks are for my Minions, Bone Ash and Push Tooth. One has a talent for Scavenging, the other for hauling. They’re both experts at salvaging junk out in the wastes, so giving them heavy trucks will let them haul more back.’

’The three vans will serve as mobile barracks for the combat squads. It’ll be no problem fitting twenty-five bodies into each one.’

’The five pickup trucks will go to the regular Undead Squads. They can transport smaller loads of supplies, offering a good balance of utility and flexibility.’

’As for the five SUVs, I have other plans.’

’I’m saving them for the Elite Skeleton Warriors. After all, I got the [Five Ghosts Spirit Communication Record] a while back and have been planning to create an Elite Skeleton Five Ghosts Team ever since.’

’Even though I only have ten Elite Skeleton Warriors at the moment...’

’...my elite forces will grow. It’s only logical to have a few spare vehicles ready.’

To ensure his plans could be implemented smoothly, Gu Su also specifically requested that every vehicle be equipped with short-range radios and walkie-talkies.

Surprisingly, the Undead Minion threw in all the additional equipment for free, without charging any extra fees.

After all, Gu Su had poured almost his entire Deployment Fee into their processing plant, buying a huge number of vehicles and equipment all at once. It was a massive sale for them.

For a major client like him, the Undead Minion was more than happy to throw in a few small gifts.
