Gu Su unrolled the three Watchtower design maps one by one. After carefully reading the Attributes explanation for each, he had already come to a conclusion.

The core functions of the three Watchtowers were largely the same. They were all essentially for surveillance and observation on a Mobile City. The main differences were minor variations in appearance and observation range, along with some differing construction details and usage requirements. Overall, the gap between them wasn’t significant.

Since the three designs were so similar, Gu Su didn’t rush into a decision. Instead, he turned to Alice beside him. "Which one do you like?"

He knew full well that Alice would be the one handling long-term observation and guard duty in the Watchtower. Rather than making the decision alone, it was better to let her pick a style that she liked. It would make her future work a little more pleasant.

At his words, Alice floated over. Her gaze swept slowly across the three design maps. After a moment, she extended a finger and gently tapped one of them. "This one."

Gu Su followed her finger with his eyes, then looked up at Alice’s calm expression. Feeling a little perplexed, he couldn’t help but ask, "You like this style?"

Alice had pointed to the [Decaying Throne Design Map (White)].

[Decaying Throne Design Map (White): A construction blueprint for a Decaying Throne (Watchtower). After learning it, you can construct one in your Mobile City by consuming the corresponding materials.]

[Decaying Throne (White): Requires 10 units of Stone, 5 units of flesh or bone, and 4 units of other materials (herbs are best) to build one Decaying Throne at a designated location (minimum footprint of 1x1 meter).

Once built, an Undead or spectral being can be assigned to the top of the throne as an observer, providing a view of everything within a 5,000-meter radius.

Note: This is a hand-drawn copy and can only be used once.]

Looking at the design on the blueprint, which depicted a Decaying Throne exuding a bizarre aura, Gu Su was puzzled but didn’t press the matter. Everyone has their own tastes, after all. Since Alice had made her choice, he would respect her wishes.

He gently rolled up the blueprint and said with a smile, "Alright. As long as you like it."

Then, Gu Su turned to Zhi Xiang, who was standing silently nearby, and stated decisively, "I’ll take this one."

A strange smile immediately appeared on Zhi Xiang’s paper face, which was painted with a crimson circle. Its voice, though still dry, carried a hint of enthusiasm as it quickly replied.

"Of course, Little City Lord. This Decaying Throne Design Map is originally 1,000 Gold Coins. As we discussed, I can give you a twenty-five percent discount, which brings it to 750 Gold Coins."

After a brief pause, Zhi Xiang pressed its advantage, a probing look in its eyes. "Does the Little City Lord need anything else? We have many other types of construction blueprints, all hand-copied by my master. They’re all a great value."

Zhi Xiang had already seen right through Gu Su’s situation.

Gu Su was a player who had just acquired a Mobile City and hadn’t officially started developing it yet.

Otherwise, Gu Su wouldn’t be buying blueprints for a Mobile City’s most basic and crucial structures—like a control room and a Watchtower—from an outside source.

’Players at this stage are in desperate need of all sorts of basic construction blueprints to round out their city’s facilities,’ Zhi Xiang calculated. ’If I offer some practical designs, Gu Su might just buy them in bulk. That would help raise more funds for Paper Gold Mountain’s push to become a Level 4 City.’

Sure enough, as soon as Gu Su heard this, his eyes lit up, and his previously calm expression became a little more urgent.

"Oh? You have more? Let’s see them."

Seeing Gu Su take the bait, Zhi Xiang was secretly pleased. It immediately waved a hand to the figures behind it, issuing a silent command.

Soon, several Papermen strode forward, holding several new scrolls with both hands. They respectfully presented them to Zhi Xiang before silently retreating to the side, resuming their stiff, unmoving stances.

Gu Su reached out for the blueprints Zhi Xiang offered, unrolling and inspecting them one by one. His gaze swept quickly over the Attributes explanation on each scroll. He found that the batch Zhi Xiang had brought out consisted mostly of basic structures related to farms and food production, clearly selected with his needs in mind.

[Mushroom Cave Design Map (White): A construction blueprint for a Mushroom Cave (Farm). Once learned, you can construct one in your Mobile City by consuming the corresponding materials.]

[Mushroom Cave (White): Requires 3 units of Wood, 3 units of Stone, and 3 units of other materials (fertilizer) to build one Mushroom Cave at a designated location (minimum footprint of 1x1 meter).

Once built, each unit of area produces 10 units of mushrooms (food) and 3 units of Poison Mushrooms (poison) per day.

When the Mushroom Cave’s size exceeds 3x3 meters, it will produce 5 units of special mushrooms (alchemy materials) per week.]

[Five Poison Chicken Coop Design Map (White): A construction blueprint for a Five Poison Chicken Coop (Farm). Once learned, you can construct one in your Mobile City by consuming the corresponding materials.]

[Five Poison Chicken Coop (White): Requires 5 units of Wood, 1 unit of Stone, and 4 units of other materials (food) to build one Five Poison Chicken Coop at a designated location (minimum footprint of 1x1 meter).

Once built, each unit of area produces 10 units of Pure Yang Chicken Blood (food) and 3 units of chicken meat (food) per day.

When the Five Poison Chicken Coop’s size exceeds 3x3 meters, it will produce 5 units of Pure Yang Cock’s Comb Blood (alchemy materials) per week.]

[...]

There were a few other similar farm-related blueprints as well. Gu Su scanned through them quickly, his finger pausing for a moment. He looked up, muttering under his breath, "Undead..."

He trailed off, not continuing.

The Undead were different from ordinary creatures; they didn’t require food to sustain themselves. They could be replenished and strengthened through Yin Qi, Incense, or other special means. Of course, you could also just leave them be.

They would find ways to absorb Yin Qi to sustain themselves. There was no need to worry about Morale or casualties. The Undead were just that convenient.

If they were injured, for instance, they could recover just by being buried in a grave.

Failing that, the Corroding Mycelium could also provide them with Yin Qi support.

This was all material he had learned in his specialized courses back in college.

However, he had been working for two years since graduation, and in his line of work, he always dealt with pre-existing Undead supplied by others. He never had to personally worry about replenishing or maintaining them.

Then he had unexpectedly acquired the Graveyard Demon, and only five or six days had passed since. In that time, he’d been through battles where some of his Undead had fallen on the field. For a moment, the whole issue of maintaining and replenishing his Undead had completely slipped his mind.

It was no wonder he hadn’t considered building a farm for his Undead.

’After all, in my mind, what kind of respectable person feeds food to the Undead?’

’But thinking about it now... do the Undead really not eat?’

’Then what were all those incense and food offerings about? People offered them lavish feasts of meat and fish.’

Once he figured this out, a look of realization dawned in Gu Su’s eyes. He hesitated no longer and began picking from the blueprints in his hands, pointing to several of them. "I’ll take this one, this one, and this one..."
