Ever since Chloe Winston spoke up in the crew, aside from being a bit quiet and reserved, she’s been basically the same as usual. If someone asks her something, she responds and no longer appears dazed or foolish.

Seeing this, Constantine Stewart let out a sigh of relief, though the heat on this side of the film city was intense, especially in the studio where it felt like it could melt a person’s face.

Constantine Stewart called someone to bring a truckload of ice, and immediately the entire crew was moved to the point of tears, wanting to kneel and call him their ’golden sponsor’.

With a constant supply of afternoon tea coming in, everyone got a share, and it’s all the extremely expensive kind. In just one day, Constantine Stewart used his wealth to win over the whole crew, and much like the cast from the "Deep Abyss" crew, the "Birds and Leaves" crew also bowed down to the charm of their wealthy sponsor.

Everyone looked at Chloe Winston with both envy and gratitude.

However, Constantine Stewart’s grand gesture quickly spread, not only did Charles Taylor find out, but even Lindsey Lorrie heard about it.

After Lindsey Lorrie got the news, her face twisted. Starshine Media was incredibly fast, having terminated the contract with her overnight yesterday, withdrew all her resources and endorsements, and even issued a blacklist within the industry.

The Countess avoided her, and Lindsey Lorrie was left with no way to ask for help, making several calls to other media companies through the night. Those who once extended olive branches and showered her with flattery turned ruthless and no company dared to sign her.

Even those within the circle who were friends with her deleted and blocked her. It was as if the tree had fallen and the monkeys scattered, and it all happened within just one day.

Lindsey Lorrie was so upset that she couldn’t even get up the next day. When she heard that Constantine Stewart was sending Chloe Winston to the crew with such a big show, thinking soon Starshine Media would announce their contract termination with her, and she’d soon crash down from the Cloud Summit faltering underfoot, she couldn’t sit still any longer and called her former agent, Brother Yu.

"Lorrie, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, but I’ve also been fired by the company." Brother Yu’s face was filled with resentment. He had been dreaming of running for the company vice president by year-end, but once Lindsey Lorrie was discarded, he was also fired by the company. The news about this circle is always interconnected, and once the word got out about him being fired, no agency would take him in.

"That’s why we need to cooperate," Lindsey Lorrie said, looking at the latest reports, and seeing the picturesque elegance of Chloe Winston at the opening ceremony. A trace of jealousy flashed in her eyes.

"I still have some money and some information. Brother Yu, if you help me, all this money will be yours."

"Alright." Brother Yu gritted his teeth, thinking he might as well take the money and leave the Imperial City, since he no longer had a place there.

On the first day of work for the crew, Mao Shan watched as Mr. Stewart indeed waited by the side the whole time, never once stepping inside the car to turn on the air conditioning. Instead, he stayed with them, cooling down with ice, until he finally called it a day around five in the afternoon.

Everything about this film city was great, except that in the summer it got hot as a dog, and in winter, cold as a dog. The old buildings had no air conditioning or heating.

Mao Shan needed to take the filmed outcomes to see his father and his own mentor, so after greeting Constantine Stewart, they each headed back to their own homes.

When Chloe Winston got into the car and felt the cool air, she took a deep breath. The clothes she wore for filming had become sweaty and then dried again, making her very uncomfortable.

"Sis, I’ll take the crew’s clothes back for dry cleaning, so they’ll be more comfortable for you to wear during filming tomorrow," said Xiao Qiu, stuffing Chloe Winston’s several outfits into a bag, initially planning to take Chloe Winston home, but immediately deciding to take the nanny car back upon seeing the man’s unkind look.

Chloe Winston nodded, then watched as the man got into the car.

Constantine Stewart dreaded the heat even more than she did, bringing a gust of hot wind with him when he got in. The usually suave and charming man had his collar unbuttoned, holding a cold towel in his hand, and as soon as he got in the car, he began to wipe the little girl’s hands and face.

"I can do it myself," she said, her voice a bit hoarse, carrying a hint of roughness.

Constantine Stewart’s eyes flickered, and his lips curled into a faint smile as he responded softly, watching as she wiped her face and hands before handing him the towel.

The man didn’t mind, using the towel to wipe his own hands before getting off the car to toss it into the trash.

"Mr. Stewart, there’s some bad news online," Zheng Gu received a call, his expression changing slightly, and he quickly got out of the car to report.

Constantine Stewart remained unhurried, saying calmly, "Let’s head back to Spring Prosperity Garden first, we can talk about it on the way."
