the two-faced Adopted Girl Who Melted CEO's Ice-Cold Heart
Chapter 1479 - 1469: Call Me Husband, or I Won’t Drink
Constantine Stewart kissed the girl who had been on his mind, the touch feeling unimaginably soft, and from the depths of his soul came a gentle sigh. Unconsciously, he deepened the kiss, holding her tightly in his embrace.
This kiss naturally sparked long-dormant desires. Chloe Winston noticed his body was burning hot, with a clear reaction. Her eyes widened in shock, and she quickly pinched his slim waist.
"Hmm?" Constantine flinched at the pain, his upturned phoenix eyes slightly opened a crack, speaking seductively, "I want you."
This shameless old man was going crazy from the drink. Chloe was furious, wanting to push him away. Yet, his arms felt like steel walls, her strength scratching at them was like tickling, exhausting her to no end. Instead, the man chuckled deeply, pinched her puffy little cheeks, then lowered his head to grip her delicate chin and kissed her teasingly.
Chloe’s face immediately heated up. This dog man’s kissing skills were getting better.
"Constantine Stewart, we have already."
The word ’divorced’ was swallowed down by the man. He kissed her talkative mouth, murmuring displeased, "Too many words, means there’s not been enough kissing."
Amidst a flush of heart-pounding heated kisses, Chloe pressed against his hand, preventing him from drunkenly misbehaving. In turn, the man interlocked fingers with her, deepening the kiss.
"Excuse me, are you the ones who called the chauffeur?" A young man tapped on the window outside, asking. Seeing this limited edition Rolls-Royce, his heart trembled slightly. He had been chauffeuring around the Imperial City for years, but it was his first time encountering such a luxurious car. Generally, people driving these wouldn’t call for a chauffeur.
The chauffeur boy excitedly rubbed his hands.
"The chauffeur is here, shall we go home first?" Chloe, overwhelmed by his kisses, murmured indistinctly.
Fortunately, Constantine retained some rationality, sensing an outsider’s presence, he sobered up a bit. He got up and sat in the seat beside Chloe, pressing his aching temples, and said huskily, "Alright, home to continue."
Chloe: "..."
Chloe opened the car door and stepped out, seeing the chauffeur boy waiting outside. She smiled and said, "Yes, we called for a chauffeur."
In her haste to get out, she forgot her mask. The chauffeur boy saw her face, a hint of amazement flickered in his eyes, inexplicably thinking she looked familiar.
"Miss, where are you headed with the car?"
"Spring Prosperity Garden."
The chauffeur boy got in the car, only to find another man seated in the backseat. Unable to see his face, the car had a light alcohol scent, which wasn’t overpowering but instead exuded a rich fragrance. The man sat in the back seat, tall and imposing, glancing briefly gave the chauffeur boy the impression the custom clothes he wore were so expensive they could blind him.
He dared not glance around readily, fiddling nervously with the luxury car, then anxiously started it up. The car’s performance was excellent, requiring almost no effort to gather speed, moving smoothly towards Spring Prosperity Garden.
"Miss, you look very familiar, like a movie star." The chauffeur boy, unsure about turning on the music, chatted with Chloe awkwardly.
Chloe nodded lightly, muttering vaguely, "Maybe I have a common face."
Upon getting in the car, the man seized her small hand, pressing it against his chest, holding it. Chloe could feel his heart beating strongly. For some reason, being teased by Constantine all night set her heart racing a bit wildly, trying to reassure herself that he was a drunkard, not to be reasoned with.
"Miss, you really know how to joke, you look prettier than stars on TV. Someone who doesn’t know might assume you’re a celebrity." The chauffeur boy gleamed with laughter seeing that she wasn’t cold at all.
The man, seeing her converse with the chauffeur boy, frowned displeasedly, his chest churning with jealousy. He narrowed his eyes, turning sideways to pull the little girl beside him into his embrace, resting his dizzy head against her soft chest, listening to her heartbeat.
Chloe, worried that he might do something inappropriate again when his dark head came closer, froze. Seeing he merely closed his eyes to sleep, she sighed in relief and stopped talking.
The chauffeur boy, a chatterbox, continued chatting to alleviate the excitement of driving such a top-tier car, until a deep husky voice from the backseat said, "Too noisy."
The chauffeur boy was startled by the man’s commanding voice, instantly quiet as a chicken, driving the rest of the way to Spring Prosperity Garden in silence.
The neighborhood didn’t allow strangers to enter. Chloe got out, scanned to pay the chauffeur fee, then parked the car outside the community gate, speaking to the security guard to move it the next morning. Only then did she call Constantine to get out.
The man got out, wearing a white shirt and black trousers—a minimalist attire emitting an extraordinary texture. He had a deep, handsome profile, clearly a young, promising scion, with not a hint of flamboyance typical of wealthy heirs. Despite being drunk, he stood tall, though his steps were a bit unsteady.
The chauffeur boy hadn’t left yet, watching dazedly as the young man descended from the car, then watched as the girl prettier than a movie star guided him into the neighborhood. After a brief pause, he slapped his thigh, exclaiming, he remembered now, this girl really was a star.
Chloe supported Constantine all the way home. While drunk outside, he didn’t cause any commotion, even appeared more restrained than usual. But as soon as they entered, he hugged her, sultrily whining, "Darling, my head hurts."
Chloe, cocooned in his strong scent as he embraced her, felt her feet slightly wobble, saying, "If your head hurts, go to sleep. I’ll get you some milk to ease the booze."
Constantine lowered his elegantly jade-like face, his deep gaze fixing on her, hoarsely saying, "No, I want you to rub it."
The heat of his breath mixed with a faint alcohol scent blew over her face. Chloe, dizzied by the booze, saw his persistent whining, regretting not recording it with her phone.
"Then go sit properly on the sofa, behave poorly and no rubs for you." Chloe coaxed him like the six or seven-year-olds at the welfare home.
His gaze as deep as ink, the man stared at her steadily, then really went to sit properly on the living room sofa.
Chloe went to the fridge and retrieved a glass of milk, warming it in the microwave for a minute, then boiled water, glanced back at Constantine, finding him sitting on the couch, unable to see his expression due to the backlight. But noticing he was quite obedient, she sighed in relief, otherwise late at night, how could she handle a drunken fool?
She carried the warmed milk over, leaning down to coax him like a child, "Drink the milk, it will ease your headache."
The man’s gaze still held some haze, his messy bangs hanging down, his refined face exposed an inexplicable allure. He glumly eyed the milk he hated most, muttering, "Call me husband, otherwise I won’t drink."
