Chapter 1117: Chapter 1144: Wedding Dress (Part 2)

But—

appearing in the obstetrics department, what’s going on?

She was just thinking about it when the door of one of the consultation rooms opened, and a man in a black suit with a blank expression followed a woman out, handing the ultrasound report to Louis Cox.

Louis Cox didn’t take it, seemed to glance casually, and his gaze settled on the woman’s face.

Mia Ginger could see the side of the woman’s face.

Her face was small, delicate, soft, with slightly curved and slender willow-leaf eyebrows, framing a pair of eyes like water apricots, which made her appear pitiable. She bit her lip, glanced at Louis, then quickly lowered her head, looking extremely nervous.

The bodyguard beside them quickly rolled up the examination report.

The group turned to leave.

Mia Ginger felt a bit awkward and shifted her gaze.

But—

at that very moment, Louis Cox had already seen her.

Their eyes met, and both were startled; Mia unconsciously stood up.

"What a coincidence."

She greeted him with a smile.

Louis pressed his thin lips together, looking at her, hesitating for a moment, he asked, "Why are you here?"

Mia’s hand by her side curled slightly, and she replied in a low voice, "Well, came for a check-up."

Check-up?

Louis subconsciously glanced at her lower abdomen.

Mia didn’t say anything, tacitly agreed.

Her silence made Louis look a bit odd, as if he couldn’t accept what he was guessing at that moment.

Mia looked up towards Odin Myres, who was sitting in a wheelchair; he smiled lightly, "Sister Ginger, congratulations, take good care of yourself."

"Thank you." Mia asked him, "How is your health?"

"It’s okay." Odin replied concisely.

As soon as he finished speaking, he saw Koa Jackson walking over, and he greeted proactively, "Hello, Dr. Jackson."

"Here for a body check?" Koa lowered his eyes, his voice calm.

Odin nodded.

Koa’s gaze fell on his leg, reminding him, "You can’t always sit around, exercising more is good for your health."

"Hmm." Odin nodded again.

Koa then looked over at Louis Cox, naturally also seeing the woman standing behind him, after a slight thought, he asked, "About to leave?"

Louis looked a bit stiff, "Yes. Finished the examination."

Koa nodded, his expression as usual, "Nurturing life is quite a tiring process, can’t be too careless."

"I understand." Louis sighed lightly, forcing a slightly awkward smile, he bade farewell, "Then we’ll be off now."

"Alright."

Louis took a step to leave, then stopped again.

Mia and Koa were standing together, originally hadn’t left, and saw him turn back.

Louis’ gaze fell on Mia, earnestly reminding, "Take good care of yourself."

"I know." Mia smiled.

He then said nothing more, turned around, and walked away with a straight back, growing farther in their sight.

Mia watched his back, pressed her lips thoughtfully.

It’s obvious, that woman beside him is pregnant, should be his.

But—

that woman isn’t Madison Leaf.

She couldn’t help but glance at Koa Jackson.

Koa wrapped his arm around her shoulder softly, "Let’s go, go inside for the check-up."

Mia swallowed the question she wanted to ask, nodded, and smiled lightly, "Hmm."

The two turned and went into the consultation room.
