Chapter 1094: Chapter 1121: Don’t Even Think About Climbing Higher (2)

"Thank you, team leader."

Mia Ginger said seriously, hung up the phone, and let out a light breath before going downstairs with Koa Jackson.

The two left the outpatient hall and went straight home.

Koa drove, and Mia sat in the passenger seat, her hand constantly resting on her lower abdomen. She didn’t feel sleepy anymore, occasionally glancing at Koa, then looking down at her belly, smiling with her eyes curved.

Koa seemed much more composed, hearing her laugh, he didn’t turn his head as he asked, "That happy?"

"Aren’t you happy?" Mia pouted.

Koa focused on driving, smiled slightly, and said, "Of course, I’m happy."

However, compared to happiness, he was more worried about this girl’s health condition. Twins, imagining it was exhausting enough, her petite body had to bear much more than he had originally envisioned.

Koa reached out and held Mia’s hand, gently rubbing it.

There was still a trace of worry on his face, and Mia quietly watched him for a while before suddenly understanding a bit. She said softly, "Don’t be nervous, the doctor likes to exaggerate, saying high risk for twins, it’s not that serious."

"I’m not nervous." Koa stiffly refuted, looking somewhat peculiar.

Alright, he was indeed a bit nervous, nervous to the point of wondering whether he should stay by her side without leaving, until the day the two babies were safely born. Amidst the nervousness was excitement and joy, yet he always restrained his emotions. The more excited he was, the more embarrassed he was to express himself, sometimes even speaking contrary to his feelings. Ultimately, Koa appeared much calmer than Mia.

Mia’s joy and happiness were clearly written across her face, while Koa pursed his lips, still maintaining his usual calm and composed demeanor.

At around eleven o’clock, the two of them arrived at the Jackson Residence.

Koa stopped the car, opened the door directly, went around to the passenger side, and helped Mia out. His face was tense, and his gaze constantly fell on her flat abdomen, careful and attentive.

Mia couldn’t help but laugh, "Aren’t you not nervous?"

"I said I’m not nervous." Koa locked the car, then lifted her horizontally into his arms, explaining, "The sun is strong, be careful not to get heatstroke."

"I’m not that fragile." Mia said as she attempted to get down from his arms.

In Cloudy Capital, the two were usually only seen by Uncle Lewis and Aunt Lee. It was already evening, so she felt it was okay. But it’s different at the Jackson Family; not just the old man, even the bodyguards from the gate to the outside of the hall made her feel awkward.

Yet, Koa refused to put her down, tightened his arms, and scolded softly, "Don’t move," carrying her all the way into the hall.

Everyone in the hall was taken aback.

The old man was the first to stand up with a cane, asking urgently, "Is Mia okay?"

In recent days, Cloud Capital had been hot, and seeing Koa carrying Mia in, the old man thought she had fainted from heatstroke. But upon closer look, he found the girl was blushing and smiling at him, leaving him stunned.

Koa placed Mia on the sofa, standing up to reassure him, "Don’t worry, she’s fine."

"You scared me." The old man sat back down, exhaling a relieved breath.

Daniella Jackson came out with a bowl of fruit, also a bit surprised, smiling and asking, "It’s only Tuesday, why are you coming back at this time?"

"Yes." Her question reminded the old man, who looked over again with confusion.

Koa sat on the sofa, as straight as a pine tree, calmly saying, "I have something to tell you." After speaking, he paused as if something was difficult to speak about, contemplating his words.
