Chapter 74: Chapter 75: The Deal is Settled

"That’s because this is a special kind of parasite!" Li Yang suddenly stepped forward and tapped a finger on his chest.

Niu Wei only felt a surge of heat rise in his chest, making him feel a bit irritated.

But then he felt something in his throat, as if it were about to crawl out.

He was startled and was just about to speak when, with a GAG, he spat something out.

A small, black worm, only about the size of a toothpick, twisted and writhed on the ground.

"I..." Manager Niu’s face was pale with fright.

"This is called a Molting Liquid Worm..." Li Yang said coldly. "Its main characteristic is that it secretes a liquid to encase itself, making it undetectable by any medical scan. This worm’s favorite pastime is to devour the lungs. At this rate, your lungs would have been completely eaten away by these things in two months, tops."

Manager Niu’s face turned white. "You mean... I still have more of these worms in my lungs?"

"Of course!" Li Yang nodded. "They aren’t that easy to force out. Besides, these worms grow in clusters. I only forced one of them out."

"Divine Doctor, save me!" Manager Niu grabbed Li Yang’s hand, his own trembling. "The bus rental is no problem... Right, that business with Liu Jinsheng, I can refuse to rent the buses to him."

Only then did Li Yang smile. "Manager Niu, there’s no need for such formalities between us. Come now, let me give you a few more needle treatments. I guarantee I’ll force all these little critters out."

As he spoke, a silver needle glinted in Li Yang’s hand, and he began performing acupuncture on Manager Niu.

After just a few needles, Manager Niu felt something in his throat desperately trying to squirm its way out.

"Ah!" And just like that, the worms finally broke through Manager Niu’s throat and swarmed out in an instant.

Manager Niu retched violently and without pause, while the worms writhed on the ground.

After about a minute of this, the vomiting finally, slowly, subsided.

Manager Niu had thrown up until he was spitting bile. He couldn’t care less about his appearance and asked with a terrified expression, "Divine Doctor, are there any more inside me?"

"That’s it, you’re fine now." Li Yang took a look. Under his treatment, all the worms had been expelled.

"Thank you, Divine Doctor!" Manager Niu expressed his gratitude, then excused himself to go clean up.

"Sweep these worms aside and burn them. Don’t let them get out," Li Yang said seriously. "Otherwise, someone else here might get infected."

"Yes, yes, of course!" Manager Niu had someone come in to take care of it.

The person who came in was shocked by the sight.

Soon, the room was cleaned up.

"Thank you so much, Divine Doctor!" A wave of fear washed over Manager Niu. ’If I hadn’t met Li Yang today, I would have been a dead man.’ "You can come rent buses anytime you like."

"Alright!" Li Yang was very satisfied. "I’ll have them come here at six tomorrow morning to get the buses. There will be a hundred people in total. I’ll give you the name list, and you can have the driver do a roll call for me. If anyone is missing, have the driver call me."

"Okay, no problem!" At this point, Manager Niu would have agreed to any request from Li Yang. After all, this was the man who had just saved his life.

"Alright, I’ll be heading back then." Li Yang stood up.

"Divine Doctor, let me treat you to a meal," Niu Wei offered.

"Let’s skip it. Maybe next time. I still have some things to take care of back in my village." Li Yang declined and left right away.

Back in the village, Li Yang immediately went to find Li Min. "Uncle Min, Aunt Min is free at home, right?"

"That’s right!" Li Min nodded. "What’s up?"

"There is. I need someone to help me cook a meal for a hundred people tomorrow at noon. I think Aunt Min is a great cook, so she could give it a try. I’ll pay, of course."

"Really?" Li Min’s face lit up. "Sure! I’ll go get her."

Before long, the plump Aunt Min arrived.

"Xiaoyang, you want me to cook for you?" Aunt Min asked happily.

"Yes!" Li Yang nodded. "Tomorrow morning, about a hundred people will be here fishing. I need to provide them with lunch. I’d like you to find two people to help you arrange the meal. The requirements aren’t high—just three dishes and a soup, with both vegetables and meat. What do you think?"

"Of course!" Aunt Min said immediately.

"How much for groceries?" Li Yang asked.

"At ten yuan per person, a thousand yuan for groceries should be enough," Aunt Min said after a moment of thought.

"How about this..." Li Yang paused to think. ’Ten yuan a person is probably cutting it a bit close.’ "I’ll give you a budget of fifteen yuan per person. You can handle the grocery shopping. Then, hire two people to help. I’ll pay the three of you a total of six hundred yuan for your labor. How does that sound?"

"Deal!" Aunt Min was so happy she practically jumped for joy.

Li Yang immediately took out 2,100 yuan and gave it to her. "Aunt Min, it has to be ready by noon tomorrow. Please don’t be late."

"Of course, of course!" Aunt Min said cheerfully. "I absolutely won’t hold you up. Just you wait. Oh, right, it would be best if they brought their own bowls. I can portion out the food for them one by one."

"No problem!"
