Chapter 152: Chapter 153: Renting the Shop

Buoyed by his first success, Li Yang thought, ’If I can even land a deal with a TV station, a factory like this will be a piece of cake.’ So, he immediately headed for one of the factories in the complex.

It was a garment factory.

As he approached, he could hear a loud rumbling from within.

It was the sound of machinery.

Li Yang went inside and saw piles of fabric for clothes strewn all over the floor.

"I’m looking for your director..." Li Yang said as he knocked on an office door.

The director?

The person in the office glanced at Li Yang but didn’t say anything.

Left with no other choice, Li Yang went to find the office himself.

Soon, he found the director’s office.

Li Yang knocked and entered.

Inside, a portly man—the director—was playing on his computer. He looked up, startled, as Li Yang walked in. "Who are you?"

"Hello, you’re the director, correct? Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Li Yang, and I’m here to sell our company’s bottled water."

"Not interested!" The director frowned.

"Please, Director, don’t be so quick to refuse," Li Yang said immediately. "Our water is excellent, much better than the competition. It’s full of minerals because it comes from a natural water source..."

"A natural water source?" The director laughed. "You’re stating the obvious. Whose water *isn’t* from a natural water source?"

"It’s not the same. A lot of water companies just purify tap water. It’s drinkable, sure, but it has zero minerals, which isn’t good for your health. My water is different. It’s sourced from a large lake, not the tap, so it’s rich in minerals..."

"How much a jug?" the director asked nonchalantly.

"Twenty-eight," Li Yang said.

The director nearly smashed his computer. "Twenty-eight? Do you have any idea how much we’re paying for water per jug right now?"

"I do. Probably around ten or so," Li Yang replied.

"And you still have the gall to pitch your water to me?" The director was growing impatient. "Get out... Stop wasting my time."

Li Yang sighed. ’Of course, they wouldn’t be willing to spend money on such good water for their workers.’

But as his gaze swept over the director, he immediately noticed something.

"Director, have you noticed your urine has been dark yellow lately?" Li Yang asked.

The director froze.

"You should pay attention to your kidneys..." Li Yang said thoughtfully. "If you’re not careful, it could lead to diabetes."

"You..." The director’s heart skipped a beat. "You’re talking nonsense."

Li Yang shook his head. "Director, you look like a man who often goes out for business dinners and neglects his health. On top of that, the factory is quite dusty, and the water you’re all drinking is extremely poor, completely lacking in minerals. This has likely caused abnormalities in your metabolism, putting a great strain on your liver and kidneys. Oh, and if I’m not mistaken, you also suffer from frequent stomach aches, correct?"

Li Yang had hit the nail on the head with every point. The director stood there, utterly dumbfounded.

"If this continues, it won’t be long before your condition..." Li Yang spread his hands with a helpless look. "...worsens."

"My friend, is there anything you can do?" the director asked, flustered.

"Of course!" Li Yang said. "I can take care of your stomach ache. It’s actually quite simple. The water quality here is just too poor. Drinking it occasionally isn’t a big deal, but long-term consumption will definitely cause problems. I can give you some immediate relief, but the long-term solution is up to you."

"Just help me with the immediate problem first..." The director’s expression was grim. "As for the water, I can submit a request to the company about it."

"Great!" Li Yang’s face lit up. "Then it’s a deal."

"Alright. Please, take a look at me."

Li Yang nodded and stepped forward to perform acupuncture on him.

In no time, the director’s stomach ache was gone.

"As for your other issues, I can prescribe some medicine. But for the long-term solution..."

"I know, I know. I’ll submit a request to corporate to change our company’s water supply," the director said readily. "We’ll switch to your company’s water."

"Excellent! In that case, thank you very much!" Li Yang said with a laugh.

"Don’t mention it!" The director now saw Li Yang as his savior. "Come, come, I’ll see you out. I’m going to submit the request to corporate right away."

"Sounds good!"

Li Yang left, feeling very satisfied. As he walked, he casually asked, "By the way, are there any storefronts for rent around here?"

"There are! There’s a place for rent right next door, not far at all."

"Great, thanks! I’ll be waiting to hear from you!"

After leaving the factory, Li Yang went to the location the director had mentioned and found that, sure enough, there was a storefront for rent.

He went inside to take a look and found the space was around two hundred square meters. It seemed perfect for a shop.

He called the number listed on the sign, and the landlord arrived shortly after.

"Setting up a shop? Of course, that’s fine!" the landlord said with a nod. "The rent isn’t too expensive, either. For a place this size, it’s eighty-six hundred a month."

’Eighty-six hundred!’

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but it was within Li Yang’s budget. He signed the contract without hesitation.
