Li Yang said coldly, "This place is under my protection now."

"Understood!" the leader immediately promised. "They will never cause a disturbance here again. You have my word."

"Boss..." Chang Lin finally staggered to his feet. "Is... is there some kind of misunderstanding?"

His cronies swarmed forward.

"Hongyun, save me!" Chang Lin shrieked in terror, his screams mixed with sobs. "I really didn’t mean to! Please, save me!"

Shang Hongyun had never felt so vindicated.

’This bastard has been bullying me for so long. I can’t believe Li Yang is the one to finally put him in his place.’

She was already giggling to herself.

When it looked like they had beaten him enough, Li Yang waved a hand dismissively. "Alright, get lost. We have a business to run. Scram!"

"Yes, sir!" With a wave of his hand, the leader had his men haul Chang Lin into a car, and the entire group vanished.

"Don’t just stand there, everyone! If you’re here to eat, please come in!" Li Yang shouted from the doorway.

A few people hurried inside, the way they looked at Li Yang completely different now.

’Looks like we’d better be on our best behavior next time we eat here,’ they thought. ’No messing around.’

"You’re such a man!" Once the thugs were gone, the proprietress grabbed Li Yang’s hand, her face flushed with excitement.
