Chapter 46: 46 The Profound Flower Cultivators

The Profound Flower Cultivators

Yun Che remained silent as Seraphina was escorted toward a higher area of the territory.

The Medusas still looked at him with suspicion, and some moved away as he passed.

Yun Che did not care. As he walked, he paid attention to everything: the position of the buildings, the entrances to the caves.

The places used to store resources, the routes in and out, and every detail could prove useful later.

Seraphina finally stopped before a large open area between two mountains.

It was then that Yun Che saw the humans, cultivators just like him. There were dozens of them.

Some were gathered in small groups, others were talking with the Medusas, who laughed while seemingly enchanted by the men, and some were checking their weapons or resting after the battles.

Yun Che narrowed his eyes slightly. The Profound Flower Sect. He had not expected to find them so quickly.

Seraphina noticed his reaction.

"They are the cultivators who arrived earlier."

"They are from the same place as you. Do you know them?"

"Some of them."

She discreetly pointed toward the groups.

"They made an agreement with my Medusa clan."

"What kind of agreement?" Yun Che asked, somewhat curious.

"They help defend the territory."

Seraphina paused.

"In exchange, when the right moment arrives, they will be allowed to enter the Mausoleum of the Great Alchemist."

Yun Che nodded thoughtfully. It seemed to be a fairly simple exchange. The Medusas needed strength.

The disciples of the Profound Flower Sect needed the opportunity to grow within the mausoleum. Neither side needed to completely trust the other.

Yun Che then spotted a familiar face among the crowd of disciples. Lian Yue was standing several meters away from the other disciples, as she always did.

Her posture remained the same as the one he knew from the memories of the previous Yun Che.

Her cultivation was still at the tenth level of the Profound Nascent Realm. Yun Che observed her for several seconds.

One of the people who had known the former Yun Che best was standing before him, but there was no recognition in her eyes now.

She merely looked at the strange man wearing a white mask before turning her gaze away. Yun Che did the same.

He could not allow his expression to reveal anything, even though a mask covered the rest of his face. He continued looking around.

Then he recognized several other cultivators from the Pill Refining House: Zhao Ming, Guo Han, Su Meilin, Luo Xin, and Chen Ruyue.

Their presence made sense. If they knew that the Mausoleum of the Great Alchemist was here, it was only natural that they would all gather in the Medusa clan’s territory.

They were all there, and every face was familiar.

Zhao Ming was precisely one of the people who had tried to humiliate him at the Pill Refining House.

Guo Han was considered one of the best theoreticians among the younger disciples.

Su Meilin possessed exceptional analytical ability.

Chen Ruyue was well-versed in matters related to herbs.

Luo Xin had also participated in the discussions back then.

Yun Che remembered them perfectly, but to those disciples, he was merely a stranger.

That was an advantage.

During his time at the Pill Refining House, his name had begun to attract attention. He had demonstrated knowledge that should not have belonged to someone with his background.

Several people had begun to suspect that there was something strange about him. Now, however, no one could associate this masked man with the former outer disciple.

Yun Che did not possess the sect’s insignia. His face was hidden, and his aura had also changed. It was unlikely that anyone could identify him.

"Do you know those people?"

Lyria’s question made Yun Che look at her.

"No."

She continued observing him for several seconds before accepting his answer.

"Did all the human cultivators come here?"

Yun Che turned his gaze back toward the cultivators.

Seraphina answered:

"No."

She pointed into the distance.

"Some went to the territory of the Fire Elementals."

Then she indicated another direction.

"Others went to the territory of the Earth Elementals."

She paused briefly.

"And some simply decided to explore other regions."

Yun Che nodded.

It made sense.

The Secret Realm was far too large for everyone to pursue the same opportunity.

There were three mausoleums, vast regions, and countless locations that remained unknown, but one question still remained.

"What is the highest level among those who are here?"

Seraphina thought for several seconds.

"As far as we know, Profound Nascent is also the highest level found among the human cultivators who have arrived in this region."

Yun Che became thoughtful. It seemed that the Secret Realm could only support cultivators up to the Profound Nascent Realm.

That was a huge difference compared to the outside world.

Within the Profound Flower Sect alone, the outer disciples remained mostly at the Tempered Body Realm, although some managed to reach the Profound Elemental Realm.

The inner disciples could already reach the Profound Nascent Realm. Lian Yue was precisely one of the strongest among them.

Above this generation were the personal disciples, followed by the Elders, and at the top was the Sect Master.

Qin Ruolan was at the ninth level of the Profound Spiritual Realm.

The other Elders were also in the Profound Spiritual Realm, although at different levels.

And Shen Yulan, the Sect Master, was in the Profound Earth Realm. Yun Che knew that realms above the Profound Earth Realm existed, but he did not have enough information to determine how far they extended.

In the Secret Realm, on the other hand, everything so far pointed toward a much more limited reality.

That also explained why the battles he had witnessed had been so dangerous despite the strongest enemies being only at the Profound Elemental Realm.

When dozens or hundreds of cultivators of lower realms fought together, individual differences were no longer enough to decide everything.

Numbers mattered greatly in the lower cultivation realms, as did formations and coordination.

The Medusas were trying to survive against two races that possessed enough strength to keep pressuring them. Yun Che looked at Lian Yue again.

She was talking with other disciples. For a moment, he wondered whether she still remembered the man she had known before.

Now, that same man was standing before her wearing a mask, surrounded by a completely different reputation.

Fate truly had strange ways of hiding a person. A little farther away, Zhao Ming turned around.

His eyes passed over Yun Che without any reaction. Guo Han also looked over.

Su Meilin stared at the mask for a moment longer, as if trying to understand who was behind it, but she did not recognize him either.

Yun Che remained motionless. None of them knew. He preferred to keep it that way.

Seraphina then turned her attention toward him.

"It’s time."

Yun Che looked at her.

"For what?"

"To introduce you to the people who will decide whether our agreement will be respected or not."

Yun Che’s expression became slightly more serious. Until that moment, Seraphina had guaranteed his entry.

But the agreement did not end simply because they had arrived. There was still a political structure within the Medusas.

There were still people who needed to accept the presence of a necromancer.

And above all, there was a mausoleum that could not be accessed merely by the will of a princess.

Yun Che raised his eyes.

High in the mountains, partially hidden among ancient rock formations, stood the Mausoleum of the Great Alchemist. It appeared silent and ancient.

Dozens of cultivators were waiting for an opportunity to enter, while around that place, five races competed for territory, resources, and survival.
