Chapter 402: Chapter 399: Bamboozle

Feng Hao and Feng Qianxing fled one after the other, and the situation returned to its previous state. The group of Mages from the Celestial Eagle Team just stared at each other, completely baffled by what had just happened.

"Don’t just stand there, let’s go!" Sun Yaowen took a long look in the direction Feng Hao had gone before quickly leading his people in a retreat.

With no Hundred-level Expert to stop them, the group felt no pressure. They easily broke through the Celestial Eagle Team’s encirclement and retreated toward the city.

Meanwhile, Feng Hao had already used his Wind Spirit Power to fly a great distance. Not far behind, Feng Qianxing was in hot pursuit.

"Kid, hand over the antidote, now!" Feng Qianxing yelled as he chased, all while having to keep a close eye on his health. He had no choice—the A Little Red poison was simply too potent.

"If you want the antidote, you’ll have to catch me," Feng Hao taunted with a wild laugh.

His plan now was to stall for as long as possible, waiting for the Academy Elders to arrive and rescue him. After all, with his current strength, he was no match for a Hundred-level Mage.

Besides, Feng Hao didn’t actually have an antidote. He had only said that to reassure the others and to lure Feng Qianxing into his trap.

As a top-tier poison, A Little Red truly had no antidote, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t a way to counteract it.

It was a well-known fact that A Little Red’s effect was to negate all life-recovery effects; as long as the victim’s Qi Blood was not depleted, the poison would persist. In other words, as long as Feng Qianxing had any Qi Blood left, the poison would keep damaging him.

Conversely, if one allowed the poison to completely deplete their Qi Blood, the effect would break on its own.

The key was that this old bastard didn’t know how A Little Red worked. He thought it would kill him outright, so ever since fleeing the City Lord’s Mansion, Feng Qianxing had been constantly using Blood Recovery Pills to stay alive, which, in turn, sustained the poison inside him.

This was absolutely perfect for Feng Hao, as he could use the "antidote" to keep the man on a leash.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Above the outskirts of the city, two streaks of light zipped past in a frantic chase.

However, because of a barrier Array, the two of them could only fly in circles around Five States City.

After a long chase, Feng Qianxing’s patience was completely gone. He frantically picked up speed, unleashing a chaotic barrage of innumerable spear phantoms at Feng Hao.

One had to admit, a Hundred-level Mage was truly formidable. Every single spear phantom was thrust with perfect precision, aimed squarely at Feng Hao’s vitals.

Fortunately, Feng Hao’s footwork was slick and his predictions were sharp, allowing him to pull off one thrilling dodge after another.

But it was no use. Feng Qianxing was a Hundred-level Mage, after all, and his attack speed clearly surpassed Feng Hao’s ability to dodge. A streak of golden spear light flashed past, striking Feng Hao on the left shoulder. The terrifying damage and impact force sent him plummeting to the ground.

"I thought you were so good at running? Why’d you stop?!" Feng Qianxing strode forward angrily, the tip of his long spear pointed at Feng Hao’s nose.

"COUGH, COUGH..." Feng Hao coughed up a mouthful of blood and chuckled nonchalantly. "If I were level one hundred, you wouldn’t be able to catch me even in your next life."

"Hilarious. You think you’ll even get the chance to reach level one hundred?" Feng Qianxing sneered, leveling his spear. "Enough nonsense. Hand over the antidote."

Feng Hao curled his lip. "I can give you the antidote, but you have to promise to let me go."

"You made me lose to that damn dog Zhong Yuntao, and you expect me to let you go?" Feng Qianxing snarled through gritted teeth. "Be smart and hand over the antidote. I’ll grant you a swift death!"

"Then forget it. If I’m going to die anyway, I might as well take you down with me." Feng Hao put on a brave face, as if he had accepted his death.

"You!" Feng Qianxing was rendered speechless with fury, his mind in turmoil. Feng Hao’s words implied one thing: the A Little Red poison could, in fact, kill him.

And based on what he was feeling right now, the poison certainly seemed capable of it.

"Go on, do it. Taking a Hundred-level Expert down with me before I die? I’d call that a life well spent," Feng Hao said proudly.

Feng Qianxing hesitated with his spear raised for a long moment before finally nodding in resignation. "Kid, you’ve got guts! Hand over the antidote, and I’ll spare your life!"

"Really?" Feng Hao asked, his eyes full of suspicion. "You’re not gonna just take the antidote and then run me through, are you?"

"..." Feng Qianxing was speechless. To be honest, that was exactly what he’d been planning. "Cut the crap! Believe it or not, I could just kill you right now. I’d still be able to get the antidote."

"Heh, you think a poison this potent can be cured with just an antidote?" Feng Hao asked with a cold laugh.

"What do you mean?" Feng Qianxing’s expression darkened.

"Exactly what it sounds like," Feng Hao said with a wry smile. "This poison is called A Little Red. It’s a top-tier toxin. To completely neutralize it, the antidote is just a supplement. The real key is my exclusive technique."

Hearing this, Feng Qianxing’s expression wavered. He didn’t know if Feng Hao was telling the truth, but he had no choice but to believe him. He couldn’t afford not to—if it was true, he would die.

"Fine. I swear on my Dao Heart that if you cure me of this poison, I will absolutely let you leave," Feng Qianxing said through gritted teeth, resigned to his fate.

"Heh heh, see? Wasn’t that so hard?" Feng Hao shot him a playful glance, casually popped a Blood Recovery Pill, and then, with a great show of it, took out an Antitoxic Pill and offered it to Feng Qianxing. "Here, take the antidote first."

"Kid, are you messing with me?! Isn’t this just a regular Antitoxic Pill?" Feng Qianxing demanded furiously.

Feng Hao snorted proudly. "A regular Antitoxic Pill? Please. This is one of my own special creations, all right?"

Feng Qianxing paused, taking the Antitoxic Pill instinctively and examining it. He finally relaxed a little, saying thoughtfully, "It does seem a bit different from the ones you can buy on the market."

Hearing this, Feng Hao sneered inwardly. ’What a joke. The formula for the *Mage* Antitoxic Pill was different from the common ones to begin with.’

Feng Qianxing eyed Feng Hao suspiciously a few more times before, after much deliberation, finally swallowing the Antitoxic Pill.

The Antitoxic Pill dissolved the moment it entered his mouth, and its medicinal effects spread quickly. To his surprise, Feng Qianxing discovered that the poison’s damage, originally 500 points per tick, had dropped to 120. This was an effect he’d never gotten from any other antitoxic pill.

"Kid, what’s next? Rest assured, as long as you cooperate and cure me, I absolutely will not kill you," Feng Qianxing said, sounding slightly satisfied.

"Next comes my secret technique. I’ll use a special route to circulate Magic Power, activating the pill’s medicinal properties and eliminating the residual toxins in your body." Feng Hao gave a mysterious smile, sat down directly behind Feng Qianxing, and began channeling his Magic Power into the man’s body.

Feng Qianxing wasn’t suspicious. With his hundred-level strength, even if Feng Hao poured every last drop of his Magic Power into him, it wouldn’t be enough to cause any trouble.

Feng Hao was also extremely anxious. After confirming that Feng Qianxing wasn’t suspicious, he grew bolder and began moving his Magic Power along a special circulation route within the man’s body.

Of course, the effect of this "special technique" wasn’t to cure the poison, but to rapidly activate it.

Because on that Antitoxic Pill, Feng Hao had deliberately coated a layer of Soft Bone Powder. On top of that, he had also added a dash of "Endless Diarrhea Powder." His goal was to use his special circulation technique to maximize the effects of both poisons in a short period.

When these two poisons kicked in together, he was in for the time of his life. Forget everything else—the man was going to shit until his bones fractured!
