Chapter 609: Wear it!!

"You... You really did this."

Scarlett stared at the clothes in her hands with an expression that was unusually difficult to read.

She held up the two outfits Amon had bought for her earlier—a maid outfit and a black bunny-girl outfit.

For a while she simply inspected them. Her amethyst eyes moved over the maid dress first, then toward the bunny-girl outfit.

Finally, she looked at Amon. "You actually brought these for me."

Amon smiled proudly. "Of course."

Scarlett’s expression remained mostly indifferent, though one eyebrow rose slightly. "I never imagined you would actually bring something like this for me."

Amon’s smile widened. "I knew you’d like them."

"I never said that."

"You didn’t need to."

Scarlett gave him a flat stare.

Amon immediately stopped smiling quite so confidently.

Scarlett then glanced toward Seraphina. The blonde was standing nearby, looking suspiciously away from them.

Scarlett narrowed her eyes slightly. "Did he purchase these for you as well?"

Seraphina hesitated. "Well... yes. He did."

"Oh."

Scarlett looked back at Amon. There was a faint hint of amusement in her eyes now.

"So you actually bought the same things for both of us."

Amon nodded enthusiastically. "Of course. I have to be fair."

Scarlett looked down at the outfits again.

Then she looked back at him. "Do you seriously think I’m going to wear this?"

Her brows furrowed slightly.

Amon’s smile disappeared immediately.

"You won’t?"

His voice carried genuine disbelief.

"Why?"

Scarlett stared at him as if the answer should have been obvious.

"Do you seriously think I, the daughter of a duke and a vampire noblewoman, am going to walk around wearing a maid outfit and a bunny-girl outfit?"

"Yes! and it’s only for me to look."

Scarlett blinked.

Amon’s immediate answer seemed to catch even her off guard.

"What—what do you mean, ’yes’?" She asked.

"I mean... yes."

"I won’t!"

"But why?"

Amon looked genuinely confused.

"What’s wrong with them?"

"Everything."

Scarlett said it without hesitation.

Amon’s shoulders dropped. "Everything?"

"Everything."

She calmly held up the maid outfit.

"This is embarrassing." Then she lifted the bunny-girl outfit. "And this is even worse."

Amon stared at her. "But they’re cute and you will wear them only in front me."

"Still they’re ridiculous. Better to be naked with you than wearing this shameful things."

"They’re adorable!!"

"They’re embarrassing."

"They’d look good on you." Scarlett’s eyes narrowed. "You really don’t understand when to stop, do you?"

Amon smiled awkwardly. "No."

Scarlett sighed and glanced toward Seraphina again. "Did you wear them?"

Seraphina’s face immediately turned red. "Well... I mean..."

She lowered her gaze. "I did try them on in the changing room of the shop where we bought them."

Scarlett’s eyes widened slightly. Her composed expression cracked. She slowly closed her eyes and exhaled.

"You did?"

Seraphina nodded, clearly embarrassed.

Scarlett opened her eyes again. "And Amon saw you wearing them?"

"Yes."

Scarlett stared at Amon.

Amon simply smiled. She looked at Seraphina again. Then back at Amon. A small, knowing smile appeared on her lips.

"So that’s why you were so eager to buy them."

Amon immediately became defensive.

"It’s not like that!"

Scarlett gave him a look that clearly said she didn’t believe him.

Amon coughed. "Well... maybe a little."

Scarlett shook her head. "So you really expect me to wear these?"

Amon’s expression softened. "Well... if you really don’t want to, I won’t force you."

He reached toward the outfits. "I’ll take them back."

Before he could take them, Scarlett pulled her hand away.

Amon blinked. Scarlett looked at him for a moment. Then she sighed.

"Tch." A faint blush appeared on her cheeks. "I’ll wear them."

Amon froze. "...Really?"

"I said I’ll wear them."

"But you just said—"

"I was embarrassed." She glanced away for a moment. "I didn’t want to say yes in front of Seraphina. I am a noble and she also noble... so well what would she think..."

Then she looked toward the blonde. "But if she has already worn them..."

Scarlett looked back at Amon. "...then there isn’t much reason for me to keep refusing."

Amon’s eyes practically lit up. "You really will?"

Scarlett nodded. "Yes."

A huge grin spread across Amon’s face. "You two are the best!"

He immediately wrapped his arms around Scarlett.

She was slightly surprised by his sudden enthusiasm, but after a moment, she calmly wrapped her arms around him as well.

Amon hugged her tightly.

"Thank you!"

Scarlett’s lips curved into a small, satisfied smile. Then she leaned closer to his ear.

"Tonight..."

Her voice became quieter.

Amon’s grin widened.

"...I’ll wear the maid outfit."

Amon’s eyes practically sparkled.

"Really?"

Scarlett’s smile deepened slightly.

"Really."

Amon looked like he had just won the greatest victory of his life.

But then Scarlett leaned even closer. Her voice dropped into a low, husky whisper.

"And I’ll suck you dry."

Amon froze.

Scarlett continued in the same calm whisper.

"Both your blood..." She paused deliberately. "...and the other thing you already know."

Amon’s entire body shivered. His wide smile slowly disappeared as he gulped down.

The excitement that had been written all over his face was replaced by something much closer to concern.

’Wait. What exactly have I agreed to?’

Scarlett pulled away from him. She wore a small, satisfied smile.

Amon remained completely still. His mind was already imagining the consequences of his own decision.

’Tonight is going to be dangerous.’

Meanwhile, Seraphina looked between the two of them with confusion. She had seen Scarlett whisper something into Amon’s ear, but she had no idea what was said.

She tilted her head. "Why did Amon suddenly look so terrified?"

Scarlett calmly picked up the clothes. "Nothing."

Amon slowly looked at her.

Their eyes met.

Scarlett’s lips curved into another faint, almost imperceptible smile.

Amon swallowed. "...Nothing at all."

Seraphina stared at them suspiciously. Something had definitely happened. She just had no idea what.

meanwhile Amon felt excitement with nervousness of the night. He was truly one of the happiest men in the world.
