Chapter 1285: Unexpected Move

The avatar was inside his inn and called one of the staff members to his room. After the woman arrived, he spoke to her.

"Tonight is my last night here. I will disappear from this city after tonight."

The staff member was stunned, but she did not ask any questions and simply bowed.

"Yes, Your Excellency."

The avatar then disappeared and reappeared on the roof of one of the city's towering buildings. The staff member also spread the news to the other resistance members that the avatar would carry out his mission tonight and would leave afterward.

As the news spread, the Immortal's Roses also received it. Mei Zhilan, who received the report, released a sigh.

'His Majesty is already leaving.'

She could not help but feel sad.

She still wanted to meet the Great Emperor while he was still in the city. She knew that once he left, it would become difficult to meet him personally.

The succubi looked at him with concerned gazes, but then he smiled. A smile that the furious people surrounding him mistook for mockery.

"After I kill them, escape to the Immortal's Roses. Mei Zhilan has already prepared everything."

The avatar's voice transmission reached the succubi, leaving them stunned.

The sound of black steel chains echoed from the void as they suddenly wrapped the avatar's limbs.

"Caught you! You will never escape the Southern Prison artifact's chains!" one of the noble family patriarchs shouted from the side with bloodshot eyes.

He had already lost many members of his family to the avatar, and he truly could not wait to see the avatar die a horrible death.

However, everyone around him only saw that the avatar was still smiling. He even smirked, as though he did not care what had happened to him.

Yeriz frowned deeply at the sight. He could not help but feel that the avatar still had something up his sleeve, making him appear completely unbothered and even relaxed.

Still, he pushed aside that feeling and looked at the avatar with a fierce gaze.

"I see that you crazy bastard still don't realize what kind of situation you are in. Do you think you can get away from your current situation?" he said before looking at his family's elders and signaling with his head for them to bring the avatar to him.

The elders understood and approached the avatar. They finally apprehended him as they placed a sealing talisman on the avatar's abdomen, which was the normal procedure for sealing a prisoner's dantian.

The talisman would not come off unless the one who placed it removed the seal personally.

Seeing the avatar so easily apprehended, Yeriz still frowned.

'Is he only bluffing? Does he not have any more tricks?'

The avatar could only be silently dragged toward Yeriz. Under the watch of tens of Immortal Saint cultivators from various families, the avatar finally arrived in front of Yeriz.
