{Sekai’s POV}

On Saturday, Mom and Dad took us shopping to prepare for the upcoming summer camp. I mentioned how I wanted to learn how to quirk walk on water, and they want to get me a bathing suit and a life jacket. Ayaka, Mom, and Dad were adamant about the life jacket, and I wasn’t even trying to argue with them. I actually agree and would feel a lot safer with a life jacket. I think they mistook my sighing as exasperation when it was just from being tired. I haven’t been sleeping well this past week without Ayaka by my side. Ayaka and Mom got stars in their eyes when we got to the swimsuit store, and Dad hopped in one of their store paintings to kill time and read a book, knowing it was going to be a while. I see Ayaka grabbing a lot of dark swimsuits, knowing I prefer darker colors, and Mom is having too much fun picking the things that she thinks will look good on me.

They made me try on so many bathing suits that I was exhausted by the end of it, even though I told them multiple times that the school-issued swimsuit was just fine. Both Mom and Ayaka knew I was going to reject most of them, but they were tattooing the images into their brains. We settled on a simple black one-piece that I felt comfortable in, and judging by Ayaka’s response, she knew that I was going to pick that one. Mom groans as we check out and says, “I really thought the pink tutu bikini was adorable, and it matched your hair perfectly. You would have looked as cute as a little kid wearing that and a life jacket.” I get flustered when she says that, and I hide behind my bangs. I don’t want to look like a kid, and I don’t want to be cute. Well, I mean, I don’t want to look cute for anyone except Ayaka.

After checking out, they took me to an Outdoorsy shop that had a variety of things like tents for camping, lanterns, backpacks, life-jackets, air mattresses with lightweight air pumps, thermoses, and so much more stuff. As I am looking around, I tell them, “Stuff like this would come in handy if we ever decided to explore with my quirk.” Ayaka smiles, looks around, and says, “That sounds like fun.” Mom says, “Maybe that can be a birthday or Christmas present then.” Ayaka says quietly so only we can hear and says, “Mom, she doesn’t remember when her birthday is.” Mom strokes my hair and says quietly, “We have this thing called the internet, which can help us out. I am sure we can figure out a lot more than just your birthday, Sekai. Though if we do that, difficult things may be discovered.”

When she said those words, I couldn’t help but go back to that despair-filled day, fearing exactly what could be on the internet. Does the internet know what Viper did to me? If so, how many people know? My legs buckle from under me as I start sinking into despair, and Ayaka and Mom prevent me from falling and hug me. Mom asks while crying, “What is it? Why does my baby girl make that face?” I snap back to reality as if I were in a despair-filled trance and grip both of them tight and whisper in a breaking voice, “I am not sure I can handle seeing what the internet knows about me and how many people have seen it.” Mom shushes me, “Shhhh. We don’t have to look up a single thing, and we can wait until you are ready. Ok?” I nod and Mom backs away from the hug just enough to wipe both her and my tears, then continues, “Come, let’s get a life-jacket you like and finish shopping for anything else you may need for the trip.”

Monday came around, and I couldn’t hardly sleep. I get to be around Ayaka and touch her more…. That sounded dirty, but my hand was cold as ice without her warm hand almost constantly holding it. I use my school backpack to pack my things, and Ayaka has a backpack and a suitcase, and I snicker, “Do you have enough, Ayaka?” Ayaka said, smiling, “This suitcase is nothing but art supplies, dog food, and their food dishes.” I stroke Sir Floof’s Pokéball in my pocket as I ask Ayaka, “You ready?” Mom and Dad kiss us both on the forehead, and Mom says, “Don’t forget to text us every so often to let us know you are ok.” Ayaka sighs and says, “Yeah, yeah.” Dad says, wearing a smile, “Have fun, but nottoo much fun.” Ayaka gets a little flustered by Dad’s comment, knowing that we are craving each other’s touch because of our punishment, and then we teleport ourselves to UA.

When we arrived, the Yaoyorozu said, “Kubo, Sekai! We missed you at the pool last week. Sorry about your punishment, that sounded rough.” Yaoyorozu sees my face and scarred arms and freaks out, “Oh my god, what happened to you, Sekai?!” I summon out Sir Floof, who has scars just like me, and Ayaka says, “Over the break, we got caught up in a villain attack abroad when using her quirk, and she got cut up protecting Sir Floof.” Yaoyorozu squeals, “THAT IS SIR FLOOF? He looks so different and is so much bigger!” Ayaka then smiles and says, “You should see Garlic. He grew as well.” She brings out Garlic, and the girls come over to shower them with affection. More people ask about my scars, and I keep giving them the censored version. Everyone keeps hovering around me and Ayaka, and I hug Ayaka tightly on her arm, scared that they are going to take her away.

We load up on the bus with Ida doing his stiff robotic usual announcements and shit, and Mineta, being who he is, got in the seats directly in front of me and Ayaka. We groan, knowing that we can’t make out or anything with him in front of us. So many people asked about my scars today, and I am tired. They kept asking where we traveled to, and we kept being vague and insinuating that we got lost with our wording, and told them that Ms. Midnight took care of the villains. Mineta asks, “So why are you guys the only ones who call Midnight, ‘Ms. Midnight’?” Ayaka stammers, “W-w-well, Ms. Midnight is my favorite hero and I j-just respect her a lot.” Mineta clicks his teeth, “Tsk. I was hoping for a fan service response. How lame…” I flick him with an armament skin whip, and he gets knocked out temporarily in his chair, and Ayaka giggles. Sato is confused and asks while gently shaking the pervert, “Yo, Mineta, are you ok?” Ayaka giggles, “Sekai made him take a little nap, so don’t worry about him.”

This bus is so fucking loud, and everyone seems to be excited for the most part. I won’t lie, I am so excited, too. I love being able to hold Ayaka like this. I stretch my earlobe skin, similar to Jiro, and I plug my ears with it. Ayaka giggles at me and pulls out my left one and asks if I can make her some as well. I use some neck skin and stretch it to make her skin earplugs, and she gets out two notebooks for both of us and her colored pencils. We spend the time on the road drawing, and I try to apply what Mom taught me last week. The more I draw, the more I like it. There is something freeing in being able to draw anything. I get lost drawing some flowers to give to Ayaka, who puts a light purple flower I drew in her hair, and the bus comes to a stop in a dirt-covered area blocked off by a fence by the roadside. Mr. Aizawa makes us get out of the bus, and Mineta is holding himself, mumbling about needing to pee while running around frantically.

While the class is mumbling in confusion about why we stopped. The next thing we know is that there are two cat girls coming out, doing some bright introduction that makes me want to gag. Their names are Mandalay and Pixie-Bob. Midoriya starts excitedly talking about them in the usual way he does, and I tune him out. Though it was amusing to see one of the cat girls intimidate him after his spiel. Apparently, she is triggered when her age comes into question, as if her age has some tie to her beauty, even though she looks amazing. She isn’t even that old, either. Mandalay says, “We own this land here, and the summer camp that you will be staying at is at the base of the mountain.” Our classmates start getting scared and start inching back towards the bus. Pixie-Bob says, “It is 9:30 now. If you are fast about it, you can make it there by noon.” The class starts freaking out, and I say loudly to get them to shut up, “Hey losers! How about you just shut up and huddle, and we can be there in a minute!” The nerd asks, “Sekai, can your quirk handle this many people at once?”

I smack my teeth, “Some people were training over break, unlike some losers.” Ayaka bonks me on the head and says, “She can handle it.” The spiky bastard says sharply, “Not a chance. I will get there by myself. I don’t need your charity.” The rest of the class sighs in relief and huddles tightly, and I pop a jawbreaker in my mouth from my school uniform pocket, and I wrap around the whole class with my finger skin, and I teleport us down to the campsite in seconds, and Mineta runs straight to find a bathroom before he pisses himself. Some other cat people here seemed surprised that we got here so fast, and they were scrambling, “Shit, I thought we had more time. What time is it? 9:30?” The cat lady says to us, “I guess you guys can just relax until the rest get here.” They introduced themselves, and the cat lady here is Ragdoll, and the buff cat guy is Tiger.

Ragdoll asks how we were able to get here so quickly past all of the dirt doll opponents, and Ayaka tells her about my quirk. I hold onto her tightly as she talks. I hear Two-toned say that Bakugo might get in trouble if there are too many strong obstacles. Shoji says, “Jiro and I can use our quirks to monitor him to make sure he is alright.” When she is done talking, some of our classmates keep trying to talk to Ayaka, and I am sick of it. I teleport us away to escape, and Ayaka asks, “Sekai, is there a reason you teleported us away before I could say anything to them?” I stammered, really flustered, “I j-j-just wanted my Ayaka t-time, and it f-felt like they were s-stealing you away from me.” Ayaka squeals, looking at my face, and says, “You are so cute, Sekai. Don’t worry, you are the only one who has stolen the keys to my heart.” She brings her lips to mine for a kiss. We can’t get too lost in the moment since we don’t have complete privacy, and Hagakure squeals when she sees us making out.

Ragdoll comes out sees us and clears her throat loudly and says, “This is a summer training camp. Not a lover’s retreat.” We back away from each other while still holding hands, and we sigh. Ragdoll takes us into the cabin for supervision until the other adults arrive with our belongings. I ask, a little angsty, “Is there somewhere I can practice quirk walking on water?” Ragdoll asks, “What is quirk walking?” I explain the general concept, and Ayaka walks up the wall to demonstrate and immediately comes back to my side. The general public hasn’t learned of quirk walking yet. Only the hero schools' faculty and students know of quirk walking, and these heroes are guest instructors, not in the know. Principal Nezu only sent his academic paper on quirk walking to Hero schools all over the world, but there are a lot of pro heroes who haven’t read the paper or don’t know about it, being alumni from those institutions. Ragdoll says, “That is fascinating. I guess you can use our outdoor baths to practice. Why don’t you take some of the other kids with you? I am sure they would benefit from it as well.”

I sigh, hoping to have gotten more alone time with Ayaka, and judging by the look currently on Ragdoll’s face, she knows that. Yaoyorozu and Ashido hear this exchange and are totally in and go out and announce to have the others join us if they want, since we will be waiting a while. Shoji waves Jiro off and says, “I can keep watch for Bakugo, and you can join them.” Us girls head to the baths, where they have a large wooden wall separating the women’s and men’s sides. That wall seems very short, knowing that our whole class probably knows how to quirk walk now. The other girls feel the same way, and we all nonverbally decide to keep our towels wrapped around us, expecting a Peeping Tom. I tug on Ayaka’s pinky and say quietly, “What if I get submerged and start to drown in this bath? T-that would be so embarrassing.”

Ayaka says comfortingly, “Don’t worry, Sekai. If your curse activates, I will personally save you.” I start blushing and Tsu giggles seeing my blush and they start trying to quirk walk on the bath’s surface. Several girls fall in, and short screams are heard before they splash and get submerged, while I stand to the side and try to build up courage. I really don’t like the paralytic feeling of being submerged, and Ayaka senses my apprehension and knows why. Tsu says, popping up out of the bath water, “That is different from normal quirk walking.” I tell them when they all emerge, so I don’t have to repeat myself, “Principal Nezu said that you have to adjust the flow of quirk energy in your feet to match the constantly changing water’s surface.” Yaoyorozu says, “That makes a lot of sense, actually. Now to put it into practice, though. I have a feeling this will be easier said than done.”

They try again and fail almost just as quickly, and Ashido asks, “Sekai, Kubo, why aren’t you trying it yet?” I clutch my towel, and Ayaka says, “We are about to, right Sekai.” I nod hesitantly, and she says, “Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you.” Hearing her words soothes my anxious heart, and Ayaka makes a few tentacles for me to hold on to while I take a few practice steps. My quirk energy fluctuates in an incorrect way, and I start to sink, and I scream and hold onto Ayaka’s tentacle tightly. She pulls me to the edge, and I do the same for her, and I make armament skin whips attached to the other side that she uses to steady herself. She also stumbles and loses her footing, and the other girls see our method and ask if I can make more. Ayaka says while steadying herself and practicing while walking back to the edge, “Let’s alternate so she can practice, too.” They nod, and she helps me try again and after, I make several armament skin whips that they can hold onto.

Hagakure asks while walking and shaking, according to the towel floating in the air, “How did you make your skin turn black, Sekai?” SHIT.Principal Nezu hasn’t made it a part of the curriculum yet. I stammer, and Ayaka saves me and says, “When we were in Principal Nezu’s office after we got lost, he mentioned how the quirk-energy can be used to reinforce our bodies and objects we touch. He said he will put it in the school curriculum soon. It works similarly to quirk walking and manipulating the energy inside.” They seemed to accept that answer, and I tried to stifle my sigh of relief so they wouldn’t hear it. Tsu says while holding my armament skin, “Just imagine how hard Kirishima will be if he learns this.” After everyone finishes walking to the other side and back using my armament whips for braces, Ayaka switches with me, and the others watch. I panic again when I lose my footing, and Tsu asks, “Are you scared of water or something?”

I stammer while pausing and holding Ayaka’s tentacles tight, “S-s-something like that, Tsu.” Ayaka says while I try to stabilize myself and explains further, “During the time we were lost, she was cursed, and whenever she gets fully submerged in water, she gets paralyzed, and if she isn’t saved, she will drown. Even in a bath. That is why we have to be careful to make sure her head doesn’t go underwater.” Tsu says, “Wow, I can’t imagine not being able to swim with my quirk.” Uraraka says, wearing a hero smile similar to Ayaka’s, “Don’t worry, we will all keep an eye out for you around water just in case.” Ayaka says, “She brought a lifejacket, but it is on the bus that still hasn’t arrived yet.” I finish my practice walk across the bath and back, and I summon my skin whips again.

Ayaka’s Observation Haki triggers, and I follow her gaze to see a blushing and panting Mineta and Kaminari on top of the wall separating the baths. I summoned more whips and knocked them down indelicately since they were being gross while yelling, “You perverts wanna die?!” The girls realized what had happened and screamed, “AAAAAAH!” While holding tightly onto my armament whips, completely distracted from their quirk walking. I hear Ida scolding the two perverts on the other side, and Tiger is pulling them out of the baths quite forcefully by the sounds of it. Hagakure noticed Ayaka notice them first and asked, “How did you know they were up there, Kubo?” Ayaka smiles and sweats a cold sweat even though we are in these hot baths and says, “Instinct?... I am an octopus after all.” The girls seemed to accept that answer, and we again stifled our sighs. It would be too hard to explain Principal Nezu telling us too many things. Otherwise, people might start putting shit together.

We practiced for what seemed like 30-40 more minutes before we got interrupted by Pixie-Bob, who said the buses arrived with our bags. We all got dressed and got our bags and followed Pixie-Bob to the room where the girls from class 1-A are sleeping, so we can secure our belongings. Mandalay pops her head in while we finish securing our bags and says, “Mr. Aizawa wants you kids to meet him outside.” Ayaka and I go outside hand in hand, and Mr. Aizawa says, “Since you guys were so quick to arrive, we are going to get started on your training regimen. Each regimen is specific to each of your quirks.” He then goes off on what he planned for each of us, and what he planned for me was basically what I did in Wano. Once everyone went off to train, I approached Mr. Aizawa, and Ayaka joined me, and I asked him, “Mr. Aizawa, I did a more intense version of this over the course of the break, so can I work on quirk walking on water instead? Water is my biggest weakness right now.”

Mr. Aizawa sighs, “Can anyone verify that?” Ayaka chimes in on my behalf, “Ms. Midnight was there with us while we were working on her quirk and can confirm. I did some training, but not like Sekai did.” She looks around making sure nobody was in the immediate area and tells him in a whisper, "She even teleported a whole falling island and all of its inhabitants back to ground level. Though doing that over-exhausted her quirk and she was unconscious for 3 days." Mr. Aizawa gets his phone out and calls Ms. Midnight and chats with her a bit, where we can’t hear him, and he hangs up and comes back and says, “Alright, Sekai, you will work on your quirk walking as a special exception while Kubo will do my regimen.” Ayaka asks, “Who do you want me to pull into dimensions with me?” Mr. Aizawa says, “Mineta, Sato, and Yaoyorozu and everything they need for their quirks. Will Mineta be a problem?” Ayaka slumps for a brief moment, then looks like she remembered something and starts giggling maniacally and says, “Not at all. Can I go get something really quick in regard to that?” Mr. Aizawa nods, and she runs off, and he says after a sigh, “I don’t even want to know what that laugh was about.”

I go inside and get my bathing suit and my life jacket and bring Sir Floof with me. I go to the baths and get changed, and bring Sir Floof out a towel as well, since he will probably get wet. I make sure the straps on my life jacket are secure, since I am paranoid, and then I bend down and tell Sir Floof, “I am counting on you to save me if I accidentally get paralyzed.” Sir Floof is ready for action and is on standby. I stand hesitantly by the water’s edge, and some brat at the top of the wall looks down and asks with an attitude wearing a scowl just like mine, “What is that thing?” Pointing at Sir Floof and I sigh, “A dog with a quirk.” He looks like he is not sure if he buys that response, and I look back to the water, trying to build my courage to do this without Ayaka, trying to ignore the brat, and the brat asks, “What is the big deal? Just go in already.” I smack my teeth at him, “Tsk. Shut it, you brat. I am working on it.” I take a deep shaky breath to steel myself, I take a few steps, lose my footing, scream and flail in the water, scared of that paralysis feeling. That brat starts laughing and asks, “How do you expect to be a hero if you are scared of bath water? What a loser.”

Sir Floof had come in and helped calm me down enough so I could stand up and get out. I glare at that brat and say, “It is only natural to be scared of your weakness, you little shit. I got cursed, and if I get submerged in water, I will sink. That includes baths. Now, can you shut up? This shit takes a lot of focus.” The brat says, “Yeah, sure, whatever. It isn’t like I wanted to talk to any wannabe hero anyway.” I smack my teeth, “Tsk.” while turning back to the bath. I fail constantly over and over again, and then I hear a voice in my head suddenly that sounds like Mandalay’s voice, “Lunch is ready.” It was out of nowhere, and it startled me. I get out and change into my school uniform and run into that brat on the way who is also going to get food.

He asks, “So does your quirk allow you to walk on water?” I sigh, “No, that is just quirk walking. Even a little shit like you can do it.” I can tell he wants to be mad, but he perks up a little and asks while still wearing a scowl similar to mine, “How can I walk on water?” I smack my teeth, tired of this kid, “Tsk. You can’t start there.” I sigh again and continue, just wanting this kid to shut up and leave me alone, “Listen, brat, you have to start with a tree that you don’t care about and focus your quirk energy to your feet. Too little and you won’t stick. Too much and you will leave a crater in the tree and get repelled from it. That is it. Now go bug somebody else.” He puts his hands in his pockets and says, "Just wait, I will be better than you, loser," and he keeps walking to the dining area where lunch was prepared, and stays to the side while all of the 1-A students here get their lunch. Everyone is here except that spiky bastard.

I get my food, and I sit right next to Ayaka, where our legs are touching. She puts her chopsticks down and asks, “How is it going?” I sigh. She understands, and I ask, “How is it going with you?” She whispers in my ear, “I gave Mineta one of those candies that Bulma made, and I haven’t really had an issue with him today.” I groan and whisper back, “Awww, man, I wish I could have seen that. I forgot about those, to be honest, because of everything that has happened since.” Ayaka whispers, “If you see him doing anything pervy, you know what to say.” I nod, and we start giggling maniacally together, and the rest of the class is starting to feel uneasy.

We continued training until around dinner, and I heard that Bakugo was struggling out there on his own and was going to miss dinner at this rate. Ayaka heard this, too, and she tugged at my hand that she is now holding and had a nonverbal conversation with me, asking me to help, and I groaned, giving in to her, “Ughhhh. Fine. I will help that spiky bastard.” Ayaka asks, “Do you need me to come with you?” I shake my head, “I don’t think I will be able to fly as fast or IF I can with you with me.” I kiss her really quick on the lips, and then I teleport high in the sky and start flying/teleporting to that bastard’s explosions. I use my zoom-vision to find that he is covered in mud and superficial wounds. He has 3 dirt golem things surrounding him. I start nose diving towards the two behind him, and I make armament hammers with my skin and hit them with gravity and make a shield to protect myself, just like that with that perverted baldie.

My attack shatters the golems and makes three craters in the earth. That spiky bastard growls at me, “Why the fuck are you here?” I say with attitude, “Helping your ungrateful ass so you don’t miss dinner. I mean, unless you don’t want to eat today, then I can just go back by myself.” That spiky bastard groans and says, “Grrrrr! Fine! But you didn’t rescue me! I was doing just fine on my own! I am only going with you because I am hungry!” I rolled my eyes, “Yeah, sure, whatever. I don’t care.” As I teleport him back with shorter teleports, he asks, “So, what the fuck did you do to those things?” I say, “I hit them.” He says sarcastically, “No shit. Like I didn’t notice.” I smack my teeth, “Tsk. Since when do you want the breakdown of my attacks like that nerd?” He yells in my ear, making my vein pop in my forehead, “Shut up! I am nothing like that nerd!” The whole class heard him, as I did the last short teleport, and he smacked his teeth and joined our class with his hands in his pockets. Mandalay yells at him, "You are NOT going to eat that filthy! Go bathe yourself!" Bakugo groans and smacks his teeth while heading to the bath house.

For dinner, they had a feast prepared, but according to the pussycats, it was only for tonight. I stuff my face so much, and it tastes so good. Ayaka tells me, “Babe, slow down or you might choke again.” I sigh with a mouth full of food and slow down a bit. Tsu giggles, “She looks like a chipmunk with her cheeks stuffed like that.” Ashido laughs, “Yeah, you’re right.” Ayaka says, wearing that sexy face of hers, “My adorable little chipmunk.” I blush furiously at her words, and everyone in the vicinity laughs at my reaction. I wish Ayaka would take me into the background since I am dying of embarrassment. I take the food stuffed in a stretched-out cheek and systematically chew it, and do the same for the other side, and Sir Floof by now is finished eating his food and curls up at my feet.

After dinner, everyone went to the baths. While we are bathing, Yaoyorozu asks me, “Sekai, is it alright for that prosthetic eye to get wet?” I nod and respond, “I was told to treat it like my own eye, and it should be fine.” Ayaka perks up and tells them the cover story, “Hatsume made it, and it has some cool features. Like she can see far away, has night vision, and thermal vision.” She left out the language bit because we are going to keep that one a secret, since it is hard to explain, since it isn’t really a thing here in this world… Hatsume learned the particulars of the concept so she could replicate it in time. Ayaka asks, “What is the name of our mighty protector up there?” She says, gazing to the top of the wall where that brat was watching me earlier. The brat hears this and looks and looks like he starts to fall backwards from accidentally peeking from his post.

I can't teleport to him in time because I don't have a jawbreaker in. Ayaka yells in a panic, “Boys, save him!” I hear the nerd “I got you, Kota!” Ayaka gets a look of worry while clutching her bare chest, “Oh no, I didn’t know my question would have caused him to fall… I feel so bad.” The nerd yells through the wall, “He is alright! I caught him, but he seems knocked out from the surprise of the fall! I’ll take Kota inside to rest, so don’t worry!” The girls all sigh in relief, me included. The brat is annoying, but it isn’t like I want him to get crippled or die or anything. Not long after that, Ayaka looked toward the wall and whistled loudly with her mouth. We heard Mineta yelling and sounding like he was falling. I stretch my ear similar to how Shoji does it with his quirk, and I hear the boys over there panicking, asking Mineta what is wrong as Mineta yells, “I need a bathroom NOW!” and Sato tells them of the candy as Mineta’s screams fade as he runs to a bathroom. I find myself laughing, “I love you so much, Ayaka.” The girls were confused about what had happened, and Yaoyorozu, who had heard the cover story, told them about the candy, and all of the girls started laughing maniacally. Yaoyorozu said sternly to quell the excited talks of the girls, “Now, we have an opportunity to train him with this. If we punish him when he doesn’t do anything, he will just become resentful.” We groan and nod, understanding that she has a point.

We had an early start the next day, and I felt barely awake, and they made us start training again. I sleepily put on my bathing suit and life jacket, and Sir Floof is licking my leg to try and wake me up. I bend down and yawn while petting him before sleepily steeling myself to start my training. It started sleepily, until I started to fall, and that panic woke me up as I screamed, crashing into the bath water. After several hours, that brat, Kota, asks, “Why do you try so hard, wannabe?” I smack my teeth, “Tsk. A little kid like you wouldn’t understand.” Kota smacks his teeth back, “Tsk. I am not as little as you might think!” I sigh, just wanting this brat to shut up so I can resume training while trying to figure out how to word it, “Listen, you brat, fine, let me try to explain in a kid-friendly way.”

I sat down on the edge of the bath and put my fingers to my nose bridge and sighed again, “My partner, Ayaka, said something that resonated with me about wanting to make a world where women don’t have to feel fearful when wanting to express themselves in little clothes. If a world like that existed, my mother wouldn’t have had to die. Well, it turns out that I helped her use her quirk, and she wanted me to be her sidekick, so I accepted. So I have to work hard so I don't drag her down.” The brat says quietly, “Oh,” and gets in his own depressive slump. Knowing this conversation is over, I get up and resume training. Before I knew it, it was time for dinner, and Sir Floof and I were both starving. Apparently, tonight, we have to make ourselves curry. Everyone seems like husks of a shell, so I groan, “Nobody is going to eat if everyone just stares at the ingredients.” I go and start preparing veggies by washing and cutting them.

We finished making the curry, and Kirishima says loudly as he is chowing down quickly, “I would send this back if I got this at a restaurant, b -” Ayaka and I both glared at him immediately, thinking of the people of Wano and how they would have loved to taste something like this. He chokes a bit in surprise and says, after recovering from a few coughs, “Whoa, what is your deal?” I say with venom, “If someone offers you food, you eat every bite.” Kirishima starts sweating a cold sweat, “I was going to, sheesh. I was literally about to say that I was going to eat every bite because I am starving.” I scoff and mumble, “You don’t know the meaning of that word.” I see the nerd go off with a bowl of curry in the direction of a mountain as I stuff my face. I hear the Pussycats calling for the brat, and knowing that meddlesome nerd, he knows where he is.

We did another day of training, and as we are cooking and preparing dinner, that nerd is talking with Two-toned, and the nerd mentioned something about the brat-hating heroes, quirks, and everything, and I can’t help but relate. I just keep eavesdropping, and I hear Two-toned tell him exactly what he needed to hear, saying to use his actions instead of his words. That is completely right, words don’t ease a person’s worries or needs. ACTIONS do. In my particular case, back when I was starving, words would not have satiated that emptiness as my stomach growled painfully. I hear someone else say something about a test of courage after we eat, and I think I missed something while I was separated from everyone in the baths. I asked Ayaka about it, and she said it was something Pixie-Bob announced at the training grounds for this evening.
