Chapter 236 The Heavenly Maze Of Doom (5)
When the party had regrouped again, Ji Yuan was grinning while Ling Feiyue had a flustered look.
Little Princess, Bai Qianfeng, Shui Xisi and Feng Minyue had all scouted extensively and their maps were actually quite detailed.
Even though they had only two hours but they had done plenty of scouting.
“I can sense the presence of two sixth rank desolate beasts in this passage way.” Bai Qianfeng said as she pointed at her map. “There may be more of them. So we didn’t take this passage way yet.”
Feng Minyue pointed at her map to say. “Sisi and I are here but there are five passage ways in this area. There is even a portal too. However we did not dare to enter this portal lest it may be a one way trip.”
“What about your side?” Little Princess asked.
Ji Yuan smiled weakly as he took out his map; his map was badly drawn and had few details.
Little Princess: …
Bai Qianfeng, Feng Minyue and Shui Xisi: …
“This is your map?” Shui Xisi hummed coldly. “Have you been scouting at all, dear supreme leader.”
Ji Yuan laughed. “Of course I am.”
Ling Feiyue smiled weakly. “He was. I was keeping a careful look at him.”
Then she stared coldly at Ji Yuan. “Ji Yuan, show them what we have found.”
Ji Yuan laughed jovially as he flashed a silver key in front of them. “Look what we’ve found. This is the silver key. With this key, we can enter the uber labyrinth now. All we need to do now is to find the entrance of the uber labyrinth.”
Shui Xisi was startled as she stared at the silver key. “You…have found the silver key.”
With an awkward look, she said weakly. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have doubted you.”
Little Princess, Bai Qianfeng and Feng Minyue had a look of guilt as well. They had wronged Ji Yuan and thought that he was not serious.
Ji Yuan chuckled. “That’s alright. I was exploring the passage way and had thought that the passage way that we were in looked a little out of place. And guess what? After spending some time to do the investigation, we had actually found a secret wall passage that triggered a secret portal and we had found the silver key.”
Bai Qianfeng gasped. “So this means that the silver keys and even the gold keys were hidden out of sight. This is a miscalculation on our part…”
“We have been scouting fairly quickly and may have missed out on the details.” Little Princess gasped softly.
Shui Xisi lowered her glances. “We should have paid more attention to the details…”
Feng Minyue muttered. “Ji Yuan has found the silver key for us. He is more attentive to details than us…”
Ling Feiyue smiled weakly. “He may not be able to draw well but he is quite observant. Don’t think too much sisters. Ji Yuan has a big heart and he isn’t blaming anyone.”
Ji Yuan laughed. “Of course! The more pressing thing that we have to do now is to find the most likely way to the uber labyrinth.”
Feng Minyue asked Ji Yuan. “So which way do you think we should take now?”
Ji Yuan rubbed his chin before he answered. “Usually the way where the silver key is found will often be the wrong one if the designer of this level seeks to confuse the cultivators that are taking the trial. Therefore we should take the route where you have scouted.”
He pondered briefly before he said coolly. “The places where the portal and the desolate beasts are located are the most intriguing…”𝓞𝓋𝓵xt.𝒞𝓞𝑀
The five maidens nodded and they were discussing the possible routes as well.
But after a while Ji Yuan’s eyes rolled as he suddenly picked up Little Princess’ map and Feng Minyue’s map with a soft frown. “There are three passage ways on this side and five passage ways on the other side…but on my side, I had also spotted only three passage ways. Why are there five passage ways on this side? When we first come to the first branches, we also had three passage ways…”
Ji Yuan suddenly said. “We should enter that portal that you have found instead.”
“Are you sure?” Ling Feiyue asked curiously.
Ji Yuan smiled weakly. “I am actually unsure. That portal may even be a death trap for all we know. But it is a gambit. So what all of you say about this?”
All five maidens replied unanimously. “We trust in your leadership! We’ll follow your lead.”
Ji Yuan laughed weakly. “Haha. I actually don’t have much faith in myself…”
Xiang Li was shouting in his soul sea. “Big Brother! I believe in you too as well!”
Ling Feiyue laughed as she picked up the map, “Come. Follow my lead!”
All of a sudden the other four maidens had turned ashen because they spotted something white at the back of Feiyue’s hair.
Ji Yuan saw what they had seen and he quickly shook his head awkwardly to say. “It is only cobwebs…”
He was hinting to them not to say anything about it lest it embarrassed Ling Feiyue.
Shui Xisi hummed softly. “This spider must really be a big spider.”
Xiang Li face-palmed with her hands inside Ji Yuan’s soul sea. “This is sooooo embarrassing…”
Ji Yuan immediately answered her in his soul sea. “It isn’t you. Why are you feeling embarrassed about it…”

Outside the Empyrean Warrior Labyrinth, it was the dead of the night in the cool mountains and a secret organization had been secretly formed.
Several lone figures could be seen making a secret pact together as they announced their life and death pact to this secret organization.
The leader of this secret organization was Saintess Fang Zhenfei (Jiajia) and several beautiful maidens could be seen as well. They were Saintess Xue Qianxue, Saintess Jian Yuluo, Fairy Ye Chengxi, Celestial Shangguan Yan, Saintess Ling Tianshui. Saintess Hua Wuwu and Saintess Hua Baiyue.
Hua Wuwu chuckled. “I am involved too?”
Jiajia took a cold look at her before she said coolly. “That is because you are too talkative so I’ve decided to keep you by my side to monitor you.”
Hua Wuwu: …
Hua Baiyue giggled as she pulled Wuwu to her side to whisper. “Don’t you get our mistress? You’re in because you are going to be Ji Yuan’s little concubine.”
Hua Wuwu had a little flush on her cheeks as she protested weakly. “Who wants to be his little concubine? I don’t even know him well. He is only a little rascal that likes to take advantage of the others.”
Jiajia folded her arms with a wry smile. “Think what you want.”
Ling Tianshui quietly said. “According to our scouts’ reports, the Evil Cultivation Palace seems to have completely disappeared after their disastrous loss in the settlement. It seems that the blow dealt to them is quite severe…however…”
She quickly added. “However we all know that this is only a plot by the true mastermind behind the activities of the Evil Cultivation Palace to cover their real tracks. We don’t even know who our enemy is except that he may be someone very powerful.”
“Someone so powerful that he is able to take down my Xiao Ruan and several of the top cultivators in my sect.” Jiajia sighed softly.
Xue Qianxue nodded. “We must quickly track down the remnants of the Evil Cultivation Palace. Or else we won’t even have a single clue.”
Shangguan Yan said quietly. “The real question is, what is the true objective of this mastermind?”
Saintess Yuluo and Fairy Ye Chengxi had suddenly said at the same time. “Someone is here.” The two of them had acute divine senses and it was something that not even Ji Yuan was aware of. This was actually their trump cards.
When Ji Yuan had first exited his seventh realm seclusion, he was caught red-handed by Fairy Ye Chengxi not once but twice as he spied upon her. Before Li Qiang had sensed Ji Yuan, she had already known that he was there but she had kept quiet about it.
A beautiful maiden quietly approached them with a soft sigh. “So I’ve been discovered…”
Xue Qianxue was startled. “Zhao Songjin, it is you? Why are you here?”
Zhao Songjin replied quietly. “I bear no ill-intentions. In fact, I wish to join all of you to find out who the real mastermind is.”
She turned to look at Jiajia with a wry smile. “I didn’t expect that the renowned Saintess Fang Zhenfei of the Blue Phoenix Sacred Sect to have a leadership position over the Celestial Orthodox Sect, Spirit Blue Moon Sect and the Profound Heaven Sword Manor.”
Xue Qianxue smiled. “I don’t really care about the leadership position of the Celestial Orthodox Sect. I am using my own capability to help my sisters here.”
Jiajia took a cautious look at her before she said. “What we are doing is very dangerous. You shouldn’t be involved. Go now.”
Zhao Songjin inhaled deeply before she said. “In my whole life, I have lived a lie and the mastermind behind the Evil Cultivation Palace has caused me deep grief. Even though Yin Wei may or may not be dead but my vendetta against the Evil Cultivation Palace will not stop here. I know that you’re after the Evil Cultivation Palace so please let me join you.”
Jiajia shook her head. “Our enemies are not easy to beat and you may even pay with it with your life as well.”
Zhao Songjin said coolly. “I am not afraid of death anymore. Death isn’t scary. It is when you have failed to take your vengeance against your most hated foe that is the scariest.”
Then she smiled. “I do have a clue to where this mastermind is.”
Jiajia gasped. “You know?”
Zhao Songjin replied. “It is pointless to find the remnants of the Evil Cultivation Palace. They won’t know anything. Only the top leadership of the Evil Cultivation Palace knows the whereabouts of this mastermind. For example the Evil Cultivation Master.”
“We don’t even know where the Evil Cultivation Master is.” Jiajia sighed softly.
Zhao Songjin smiled. “Like I say, I have a clue.”
“Really?” Jiajia asked.
“Yin Wei once had a loose tongue when I was around him.” Zhao Songjin quietly said. “I will share with you what I know if you will allow me to join you.”
Jiajia nodded slowly. Men are always looser in their tongue when they are around beautiful women, forgetting that women are sometimes more attentive.
“Welcome to our secret organization then.” Jiajia said decisively.
