Chapter 2950: The Last of the Four Thrones of the Abyssal Region
Chapter 2950: The Last of the Four Thrones of the Abyssal Region
The throne of Minos said mentally to him. 'It tells the truth. This is clearly the pillar of the Laws of Light and Darkness, but it is incomplete.
'Incomplete?' Minos couldn't believe it. 'Yet it's so impressive that it can interact with us without even having a user! Are you right about that?
'Absolutely. Your memories of Hell are enough to tell me that the missing part of this throne has become a hellish singularity. Without that other part, this is a defective throne.
Minos opened his mouth slightly, not expecting to find the fundamental laws of Hell and the Upper Realm in this situation.
Of course, this was no exception to what he knew was possible. But Minos didn't think he would find something so important and so rare with such a strong connection to Hell in this place.
Although both dimensions had been part of the same dimension in the past, they had separated and lost much of their essence.
The fact that there were laws common to both absolute planes was already a major event with tiny probabilities!
'Is that why it's a dual throne?' Minos asked in his mind, still facing the black and white throne, but not saying a word to this existence.
Minos' throne replied, 'I don't know. As I've told you before, master, I don't know the history of things, apart from what I have access to through you. I merely know how to read the surrounding reality. Perhaps it existed from the beginning in this way, or perhaps it came about because it was incomplete. Either way, you must be aware. A throne is loyal only to its user. But without a user, it can be unpredictable...'
Minos finally let the air out of his mouth and addressed his words to the last throne he intended to conquer in the Abyssal Region. "A dual throne, you say? Is that even possible?"
The throne remained silent, as if showing Minos that he was right in front of it.
"Did you really exist in ancient times or did you emerge from the end of the Ancestral Realm and the beginning of Hell and the Upper Realm?" Minos was genuinely curious.
Honestly, an existence holding two powers of law of such magnitude shouldn't be possible!
But Minos couldn't deny the reality in front of him. Even his throne agreed that such existence was real.
But if such a throne existed and was incomplete, what would it be like if it were complete?
And even if it never became complete again, what would it be like if someone conquered it the way it was now?
In all honesty, Minos didn't want to have to give this throne to Lydis, as the payment agreed between the two of them. He could see, as he looked at this dark, shiny thing, that it wasn't normal and its user would be powerful.
It was just a shame that he had already started the inheritance of the Throne of the Law of Molecules and now he owed Lydis a throne of the Abyssal Region!
Unable to make any changes now, Minos at least wanted to understand this throne before making a move.
He wasn't thinking of taking action against Lydis; thinking about the possibilities wasn't exactly a condition for something to happen...
"I was born at the end of ancient times, unfortunately." Said the throne in its powerful, but at the same time, strangely humble tone. In front of Minos, it seemed to be talking to an equal and not someone who had to prove himself to it. "If you think I arose from the part that I lack and is in Hell, you must be right. However, after millions and millions of years of existence, I have achieved perfection in combining the two laws. Naturally, I'm better than I would be separately and I assume that if I'm number two in reality, no one can claim to be the number one!"
Minos didn't doubt this. Perhaps the powers of this throne were unstable right at the start. Its formation, as a whole, should not have happened. But over the years, the two absolute laws had certainly integrated to the point where they coexisted perfectly.
This was no ordinary throne, even compared to the other major thrones!
"So, what do you want from me?" Minos asked after a moment. Since the throne had initiated this contact and recognized who he was, Minos understood that this existence wanted something specific from him.
The throne began, speaking vaguely. "Number One Successor of Heaven, do you know what the Ancestral Realm was like?" It paused, but didn't let Minos answer. "Naturally, neither you nor any throne could know what the past of ancient times was like. At most, some glimpses. At most, some superficial understanding. But I'm different. I've seen everything that's happened since I first appeared!"
Minos and his throne remained quiet, without questioning.
"At that time, there was a great reaction from the will behind the Life and Death Tree The heavens shattered and I appeared amid the dimensional tear that ended the realm and spawned the Upper Realm, Hell, the violet dimension and countless unstable fragments, lost to space-time forever and ever.
I don't know if by luck or misfortune, I lost part of my darkness and luckily I didn't disappear by joining the light, my great opposite. at the time, I didn't think I would last. But as time passed, I realized I was different. By emerging as a new singularity, I broke away from the common rules, became the first dual throne and the first throne to keep memories after the deaths of its users."
Thrones were existences that were on the same level as laws. They couldn't disappear and could have different users over time. Naturally, the more impressive the laws of a throne, the rarer it would be for new users to appear.
But it was known that when a new user appeared, the throne would reappear in the universe, but would return without any memory, having only its instincts about the surrounding reality.
This, however, was not the case with the throne in front of Minos!
Yin and Yang finished, finally answering Minos' question. "So, I know how to identify the successor to the leader of the ancient sacred peak. Your predecessor, Tian Wang, leader of the Dawn Peak, is the only one who can fulfill my great wish in life!"
Minos sensed what the throne was getting at, foreseeing why it was showing itself to him and saying all this.
"Do you want me to help you become whole again?"
The throne said, once again not getting to the point. "I'll let you carry me from here and I'll help you on your way. And you won't have to worry about me. I'll achieve what I want even if you don't work for it."
"So that was all meaningless?" Minos asked with a strange expression.
If he didn't have to do anything, why had the throne exposed itself?
The throne said, "In the distant past, the Law of Light was controlled by Tian Wang's mistress. But the Law of Darkness was held by one of Shulong's allies, who was banished to Hell along with the descendants of that lineage. The moment I leave this space, where I've been since birth, the successors of Tian Wang's enemies will notice. At that time, they will go back to finish what they started, hunting down the destined successor of the Dawn Peak!"
Minos felt a slight chill run down his spine as the darkness and light in that area lost ground, turning the area where the throne stood transparent, gradually becoming visible to Lily and Devdar.
The throne lost its omnipotent aura, while shrinking in size as it moved into one of Minos' hands.
"Be prepared for enemies more terrifying than ever. They are hiding even from those who control Hell and the Upper Realm. They will not rest as long as your will exists!"
