Chapter 159: Chapter 158: Radiant Entertainment Is Capital Itself

Rian Sinclair frowned as she finished reading everything. There would be a 32-to-24 team challenge, followed by the top 16, then the top 8. Only the final four teams would head to Elysia for the world finals.

This meant a rookie had to fight their way to the world championship in just a few short months.

Rian wasn’t entirely sure if Ash Sinclair had joined the team simply for a starting spot. Could he have joined ASG specifically for a shot at the world championship? If that was the case, his decision to choose ASG made perfect sense.

Donovan Sinclair stood to the side. He didn’t meddle much in the young master’s affairs; he only executed the tasks given to him by the young lady.

Rian set the documents aside and chuckled softly. "Is this kid aiming for the championship?"

Donovan, now seated on the sofa, watched her pack away the documents. As if recalling something, he asked quietly, "Miss, would you like to go see the young master?"

Rian shook her head. She pulled out a specific sheet of paper and pointed at it. "When is this upcoming match?"

Donovan followed her gaze and quickly checked his computer. "The day after tomorrow, at Argent Stadium."

Rian nodded. This match was part of the 32-to-24 team challenge. The top 16 matches would take place a month later, the top 8 and top 4 in November, and the grand finals were all scheduled for December.

"Book a ticket. We’ll fly to Argent when the time comes."

Donovan immediately instructed someone to arrange the admission tickets. Since the young lady’s enterprises also included businesses related to the esports industry that the young master had entered, securing tickets was a breeze.

Rian put her things down as Donovan took his leave to handle the arrangements. Outside the window, Bandage was still running around playfully. The pet had grown a size larger and looked even more handsome now.

"Miss."

Rian turned at the sound and met Fiona Sinclair’s eyes. "Is this about the foundation or Radiant Entertainment?"

"It’s about the variety show," Fiona replied. "The wilderness survival show had a massive reception. Out of the nine selected celebrities, only one made it to the end. The rest exposed their true colors on the show, and by the end of the broadcast, authorities even stepped in to make arrests according to the law. However, this caused quite a stir, and many rivals are now joining forces to suppress Radiant Entertainment."

Listening to Fiona’s report, Rian picked up her teacup and took a sip. "Is it working?"

Fiona set down some documents and shook her head. "It’s useless."

After all, Radiant Entertainment was completely self-sufficient. They didn’t rely on outside investors, leaving their rivals powerless. Radiant Entertainment was its own capital.

Attempts to suppress them were utterly futile. Moreover, Rian held significant shares in the resources of most other companies. There was nothing they could do. The system was simply too powerful. Over the past few months, corporate shares and cash had piled up into mountains. In fact, her unlimited black card was starting to seem a bit inadequate for her immense wealth.

Still, Rian preferred using the black card. It allowed her to see the money entering her account directly, rather than waiting for corporate dividends.

Currently, her businesses were spread all over the domestic market; only her overseas ventures were still in their early developmental stages.

The sudden emergence of this variety show in the entertainment industry had effectively crippled the top earners of many agencies. After all, the exorbitant prize money was enough to tempt any celebrity, prompting many companies to enthusiastically sign up their artists. Most of those who secured a spot held high status within their respective companies. In other words, they were the current big names in showbiz.

Seeing the young lady flipping through the documents, Fiona explained, "The participants included a Best Actor, a Best Actress, and two top-tier musicians. A popular young actress and a fresh-faced heartthrob were also among them, along with a veteran actor who frequently appears on screen. The last one was a Z-list actress."

"That last actress was voted in by the public. They said they wanted to watch a manipulative sweetheart break down during wilderness survival. The netizens never expected that she would be the only one left standing."

Rian’s interest was piqued upon hearing her words. "What’s her name?"

Fiona rummaged through the pile of documents before pulling out a sheet of paper and placing it in front of her. "Yana Lowe."

Rian picked up her profile. Was this not the exact plot of those trendy female empowerment web novels? A stunning but scandal-ridden Z-list actress, netizens waiting to see her make a fool of herself, only to unexpectedly discover a hidden gem.

"Miss, we found out that Yana Lowe has a private social media account where she is a wilderness survival vlogger. She often goes to islands and forests to survive entirely on her own."

Hearing this, Rian nodded slightly. "Send her an audition invitation for *Ten Days and Ten Nights*."

Fiona noted down the young lady’s instructions. *Ten Days and Ten Nights* was a movie Rian was preparing for Evan Rivers, aimed entirely at winning an international gold award. The casting was being conducted privately; there hadn’t been any massive public auditions yet.

After Radiant Entertainment released that brutal variety show, many celebrities now kept their distance from the company’s scripts, terrified that one wrong move would ruin their careers. Rian naturally knew this, though she didn’t plan on launching another wilderness survival variety show anyway. However, no one in the industry could escape her reach. Her writers had drafted so many scripts that they certainly weren’t short of options.

"Miss, do you want to go watch the final live performance of *Idol Debut* tonight?"

Rian was just about to refuse when the system’s voice rang out in her mind, "Ahem, Host, why don’t you go take a look?"

Noticing the system’s unusually eager tone, Rian asked, "Is there a mission?"

"No."

"A special event?"

"Not that either."

At the system’s denial, Rian leaned back against the sofa, continuing to communicate with it telepathically. "Then give me a reason. A reason why I should go."

The system fell silent for a moment before its voice returned, sounding somewhat coy. "I just want to watch Sagan’s performance."

A trace of confusion flashed through Rian’s mind.

The system hurriedly explained, "He’s a contestant on *Idol Debut*. He’s extremely hardworking, dedicated, and outstanding!"

"You can connect to Veridia’s internet?"

"I have no choice. The Main God cut off the network to the home planet, so I had to find a way to hack into Veridia’s internet."

Rian smiled without saying a word. Although she hadn’t been with the system for long, she genuinely wanted it to be well and have something to do when it was bored. Since the system actually had a favorite celebrity, she decided she might as well accompany her to do some fangirling.

"Alright. I’ll take you to the live show to see your idol."

Hearing the system’s remarkably human-like cheers, Rian curled her lips into a faint smile. She then looked at Fiona. "Make arrangements for the live performance tonight. I’ll go watch it in person."

Fiona nodded in compliance. "Should we continue with the wilderness variety show?"

"No need," Rian said, setting down the documents in her hand. "Doing it once is enough. If we do it again, we’d just be throwing money away. There are plenty of shows in this genre anyway; we won’t miss this one."

"Have Uncle Forrest drive. You’ll be coming with me."

Upon hearing this, Fiona stood up to make the preparations, needing to notify the venue as well.

Rian put down her things and prepared to go upstairs to change clothes so she could head out for the performance.
