The Primordial Record

Chapter 2115 A Piece of Truth (4)

Chapter 2115  A Piece of Truth (4)

Hanging on to Eos’s body, Elgorath was no longer holding back from using the powers of the second dimension, because without it, he and Xyris would not be able to do enough damage.

They were meant to be fighting at the back lines and not directly with a brute like Eos, but what made this even worse was that from a distance, they may have had a much harder time containing him, as Eos had proven many times over that although he favoured the blade, it did not mean that his mastery over spells was shallow.

Elgorath knew that there was a possibility of Eos finding out about the second dimension, the more they fought, but he believed that if he could suppress Eos, then it was possible to wipe out a portion of his memories.

Normally, something like this should not work for an immortal of Eos’s stature, but if Elgorath uses the power of the Parallel realities, he could swap memories with Eos’s other selves, and since Eos was not aware of these parallel realities, he would not be able to discern that his mind had been tampered with.

But first, he had to break this stubborn bastard down to size, and Elgorath would do this with pleasure.

Golden claws raked across Eos’s chest, peeling flesh in long strips, so that they hung like ragged banners. His ribs were exposed, showing his heaving lungs, and Eos could even feel the cold emanations from the shattered space of the hollow on his internal organs.

Pain was a constant roar now in his senses, and this pain was both barbaric and unrelenting. A part of him knew that he should not be undergoing this trial, and there were easier ways to battle, but that part of him was quickly suppressed.

A hunter who shouts before he shoots would always return home empty-handed. In order to know the full scale of the conspiracy, he needed to be in this position, and he needed all the Ancient Primordials to be here; only then would he be able to push ahead with his plans… anything else, and he was going to lose this opportunity.

Yet, his enemies, especially Elgorath was not making it easy for him, as he was not only tearing his body to pieces but also whispering corrupted memories into his ear, at least this was what he would like Eos to believe but by now, he was becoming more familiar with the operations of the sixth dimension, and Elgorath was the best teacher he could ever ask for… in the entirety of Existence, it was hard for him to be able to find a second person who would be able to reveal as much secrets of the sixth dimension than Primordial Memory.

In the alternate realities that Elgorath was showing him, Eos could see visions of a child dying countless times, and they were all him; he saw Existences crumbling, and with the power of the sixth dimension, he was forced to relive all of these visions as physical wounds.

One especially powerful memory that shattered a hundred Existence was like a slash that tore across the surface of his weakened abdomen, spilling intestines in hot loops, and another cut across his face, splitting cheek to bone.

Despite the grievous damage he was suffering, Eos was taking the time to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the sixth dimension and could understand how much he would have suffered without having any knowledge of this power.

For a moment, the damage he was suffering exceeded the amount his body could heal, and Xyris, now with one arm and burning Origin Essence to not heal his wound but to purify Eos’s power that was threatening to consume his entire flesh, roared in fury as he froze Eos’s legs in time.

With them being under his domain, Xyris grinned like a demented crow and forcefully tore off a piece of his Origin and slammed it into Eos’s legs, and the time freeze suddenly multiplied in power, exponentially.

No other Primordial could just rip out a piece of their Origin and use it as a weapon, but the Ancient Primordials followed a different rule, and at their core, they could never truly be called Primordials, could they? Everything they had was stolen from somewhere else.

Eos’s eyes widened for a brief moment before his legs grew brittle, and then they shattered under his own weight. His knees exploded in bursts of bone and cartilage as he lost both of his feet.

Eos fell, screaming, golden blood pooling beneath him. In a fight like this, pain was expected, and the dangers of death were also expected as well, but everything was for a purpose… he had to keep reminding himself of this fact as he held back his cries of pain and crawled towards Xyris while he dragged his Destroyer behind him.

Primordial Time was a bit woozy after he cut out a piece of his Origin Core and used it against Eos, leaving him open for the vengeful slash that Eos sent towards him.

It was only at the end that he was able to regain his senses, but it was too late to dodge as the blade light from Eos traveled through the short distance instantaneously and slashed at Xyris’s legs.

The blade bit deep, carving through flesh and bone in a spray of sand and gore, causing Xyris to topple to the ground while howling, as his leg aged to dust.

Eos in this fight was discovering interesting things about the pain tolerance of the Ancient Primordials, and for creatures that had spent so long dealing pain on others, it was funny that they were not so used to pain themselves.

Seeing Xyris howl in pain, Eos grinned like a madman, his golden blood, and that of Xyris and Elgorath covered his face, painting a horrifying picture.

Elgorath came up behind him and kicked him in the ribs, his reinforced boots shattering more bones and puncturing the lung. Eos coughed blood in thick ropes, as he was nearly drowning in his own fluids. There was so much foreign Origin Essence inside his body that his regeneration could only maintain Eos’s life and not rapidly reverse the destruction being inflicted upon it, but hearing the screams of Xyris that sounded like a stuck pig, Eos could not help but laugh despite the pain he was experiencing.

“You think this is funny?” Elgorath said as he knelt beside Eos, “I will make you regret challenging us.” And with that, he drove his claws into Eos’s eyes, tearing his beautiful prismatic eyes to pieces, as silver light exploded from within Eos’s skull.
