The Primordial Record

Chapter 1375 The Laws Of The Jungle

Chapter 1375  The Laws Of The Jungle

The proliferation of Aether in this universe was not to create life, it was simply to make it stable enough for Rowan’s dimensional soul and flesh to enter without cracking the universe open like an egg.

He could assimilate a universe easily, but it was a different case when he began flexing his will or even manifesting his presence, no material universe would be able to contain such power, and if he wanted a place to be able to digest his gains so that he could prepare for the inevitable chaos that was about to descend upon all of reality, then he needed this universe to be more robust to carry part of his weight.

Reinforcing the walls of the universe to be multiple times thicker and more durable, he reduced the presence of the universe to be almost undetectable, and when he was assured that the preparations were complete, Rowan’s consciousness swept through the universe and he gathered the densest heavenly materials he could find, Black Holes, White Dwarfs, Neutron Stars, and even Quark Stars, which this universe had a surprising amount of. Despite the number of universes that proliferated all of existence, Rowan had discovered that every universe had certain unique features that separated them from the rest, like fingerprints, no two universes were the same, there might be close similarities, but there were no exact copies.

Smashing all of these dense heavenly bodies together to create an even more infinitely dense soup, he crafted a simple throne for him to rest his weary body. Resembling a throne cast from black iron and a thousand miles tall, Rowan’s body materialized out of thin air, and he slowly sat on the throne.

Resting his right elbow on the armrest and his closed fist against the side of his head, Rowan’s eyes closed and he fell into a deep slumber, leaving only a small part of his consciousness to oversee certain matters.

Surrounding his thrones were his Cherubims, in the shape of long black swords. After a long and grueling battle, his mind had reached its limit, Rowan needed his rest.

Deep inside the Inheritance Ground, the throne of Primordial Chaos which had not changed since the end of the Primordial Era began to bleed.

The throne which was made from an unknown stone and frozen blood, had a crack in the middle that should have split the throne in two, but an unfathomable will seemed to hold it together, but there was a large portion of the upper part of the throne that had been sliced off by an unknown blade.

When Rowan had first seen the throne of Chaos, the first thought that entered his mind was betrayal. He could easily see the Primordial Chaos sitting on his throne and someone came behind him and with a mighty swing, sliced through the top head of the throne, most likely cutting off the head of Primordial Chaos as well.

The crack that was nearly tearing the throne in two must be the result of the death struggles of the Primordials, and the throne was not originally made from stone and blood, the latter was just the result of Primordial blood being spilled on it.

Yet he knew that this was all a flight of fancy and he did not know the true history of this throne, and perhaps the only ones that did were the Primordials themselves.

This throne that was many times larger than a universe had always hovered in the center of the Inheritance Ground, and it was the source of confidence for the children of Primordial Chaos because this broken throne had a power that nothing in reality except another Primordial could equal. It was the entire foundation that made the Inheritance Ground a Primordial domain, giving them access to resources that they would never have any right to without the backing of a Primordial.

The parts of the throne that were made from the frozen blood of an unknown being began to thaw, and when the first drop of blood fell from the throne, it slammed into the ground with the force of a billion supernovas going off at once and a great ocean of blood was born from that blood drop. The entire Inheritance Ground was shaken to the core, and every creature who carried the bloodline of Chaos was frozen in place, at least for a moment, before the screams began.

Pain that defied the understanding of most immortals ravaged the bodies of the Children of Chaos, and the weak amongst them collapsed into madness, death soon followed, thankfully giving them relief from their agony. The death toll was unknown, but the bloodline of Primordial Chaos was the most prevalent in reality, and the lowest conservative estimate of this death toll was in the hundreds of trillions.

The cries of the anger of a Primordial even while muted by the chains of Oblivion were not something that any average lower-dimensional being could handle, and yet this disaster was not over, this was simply one drop of blood falling from a throne that was many times larger than any universe, and it could be imagined that the amount of blood that made up the frozen portion of it could drown a healthy portion of reality.

Most of these deaths that came from the first drop of blood were weak children of chaos, all lower dimensional immortals, but what would happen when more drops of blood began to fall, the second, third, and fourth… it was possible that in his rage, Primordial Chaos could wipe out all his children.

The moment the first drop of blood fell, Caine, Shamaran, and Rowan froze, in an instant, they understood everything that had happened and would happen, and they realized more clearly than anyone what the wrath of a Primordial could mean for their continual existence.

This was an anger that should not be provoked, and someone did, and for that, there would be repercussions.

If there was one thing that could be traced back to, that became the source of Caine’s fear, the primary reason that triggered his betrayal of Primordial Chaos. That would be the knowledge that all of their existence depended on the whims of the Primordials, even theirs.

They could not fight against it, they could not argue their way out of it, if a Primordial wanted you to die, then you have no choice but to die.

Rowan considered this to be very ironic for immortals like them, who had become used to dictating the lives and deaths of multitudes at their fancy, chasing whatever goals they pursued, a moment before, Caine had seized many universes and dimensions in his grasp and had crushed an unknown number of lives just because he was agitated, he may not have even noticed the effects of his actions, after all, everything below them was ant, and yet when the time came when such a fate was to be meted to them, they became quite antagonistic to it.

It took a while for Rowan to recognize that hypocrisy in his mindset, and with that realization, his source of motivation changed, he considered himself to be extremely powerful but that did not mean that he was infallible. He could fall at any moment, and if he did, he would not bitch and moan about it, he understood the laws of the jungle and he would play with the cards that had been given to him.

Rowan sighed and looked at the faces of the two higher-dimensional immortals before him. It would seem that the basis for his mental adjustment was not shared by them, they lived above all of existence and the thought that their immortality and dominion could be ended as easily as they ended all others below them, shook them to their core and made them reflect on their existence.

However, Rowan knew that the mirror of reflection was one that few were brave enough to look into, not even to acknowledge its presence and as he had expected, any attempt at diplomacy was thrown out of the window.

Shamaran sputtered in shock and indignation, the picture of a cool and collected immortal had been discarded as she peered at Rowan in rage, their attempts to find his real body were not bearing fruit, and with the size of existence and how easy it was to hide if one knew the right places to do so, it would take many years to locate their target,

“You know what happened with the Frozen Road, Rowan. I am not accusing you of destroying it, because I know that you are incapable of doing such a thing, nonetheless, you are a culprit in this situation, and the only way out of this problem is to confess to me everything that happened inside of Doom Star, and most importantly, who were the perpetrators behind this madness! Be mindful of the words you are going to be saying next, choose them wisely.”
