The Primordial Record

Chapter 1374 Consequences

Chapter 1374  Consequences

Rowan grinned internally, that question was a loaded one, and it was easy to fall into the machinations of Caine and Shamaran, his response could mean the difference between being a bystander who wished to play on the rivalry between this two, to becoming one of their pawns, and so naturally Rowan chooses the former.

“The ignorant are fearless. I am just a small immortal as you know, and my answer to the questions that you are asking would be both correct and incorrect. I do not know fear, but I also admit there are many things I don’t understand. How could I stand here and best my chest thinking I am infallible in my thoughts when I know that both of you can crush me with a single thought.”

Shamaran laughed, “You are wise Rowan, do not forget the title given to Caine, you should find out the truth for yourself before making the decision that would shape your future for all eternity.

The talk between these two continued and Rowan listened in rapt attention, nodding at the right places and answering questions in a vague manner when it was necessary, the majority of his consciousness was focused on other tasks.

At this time Rowan reached the universe of his choice. It was a relatively new universe, born barely a billion years ago, and had been long scouted out by his Angels, and he had just touched the membranes of this universe. His dimensional soul which was ten times larger than an average universe simply opened his mouth wide and swallowed the entire universe.

It was a rather interesting visual anomaly because Rowan was both smaller than an atom but still large enough to swallow the entire universe. A similar situation that was similar to when he was assuming a World Will began playing out in his consciousness as Rowan began assimilating the Will of the Universe.

This process which should be relatively easy for him, was even easier because there was a missing component that he usually had to deceive, and that component was no longer a part of the universe, and it was Nemesis.

The Great Desert was linked to every material universe in existence and with the absence of its ruler, its hold over the sanctity of a universe was loosened. Rowan could see how this would lead to a new type of war in the future if it was not quickly corrected. A war that would be fought across universes by the natives of the material universes.

The barrier that protected weak universes from the stronger universes was Nemesis. The Nemesis Plate was made to hold back the excesses of the rulers of a powerful material universe, documenting the number of lives they had taken and making it harder for them to ascend to the higher dimension by sending forth stronger tribulation.

When an immortal reaches a certain level, they would soon become aware of the Nemesis Plate and they would begin to check their excesses, but now without a Nemesis Plate or a Nemesis Board that governs those Plates, every universe in existence would suffer as a time of unprecedented chaos would sweep across all of them.

Such a massive change would either lead to the destruction of the majority of the material universes or something new would arise to bring back equilibrium to the new state of things. However, Rowan did not fear that the destruction in the material universe would be bad due to its importance to the higher dimensional realm.

Without the lower dimension, there would be no new souls born in reality, and existence would become stagnant. No higher dimensional realm would allow the lower dimensional universes under their control to become swamped by chaos. In fact, it might be possible that an unprecedented wave of peace was about to be unleashed upon every material universe, but Rowan would not hold his breath for such an outcome, what he truly expected to happen was a feeding frenzy.

The gates to one of the greatest bounties of the Primordial Chaos had been blown wide open, and there were no more shackles to stop the higher dimensional realms from carving out a portion of the lower realms for themselves. Rowan was also going to be doing the same, and because he had expected such an outcome, his preparation was rather robust, he could not say he would be seizing most of the material universes but he would be among the parties who took the greatest slice.

Breaking past all the restrictions of the universe, Rowan descended into it. He already knew that this universe was so young that even its Empyrean had not yet been born, and it was easy for Rowan to take over the Universe Will, and he slowly suffocated it to death, this operation was done so cleanly that the Will of the Universe was not even aware when it perished. There was no pain, it simply faded into nothing.

With the Will of the Universe out of the way, Rowan’s Aether flooded this universe, he released only a few drops of his Aether, and it exploded in size, covering the entirety of the universe, soaking every single world, every single star, down to the tiniest dust floating in space.

His Aether began to transform the universe. There was no intelligent life to be found inside of it, there were barely any single-cell organisms present, and the Will of the Universe was not mature enough to begin creating such a thing, usually, it would take another ten to twenty billion years before the Will of a Universe was matured to the extent that it could begin creating life if there was no outside influence to speed up the process.

The presence of Rowan’s Aether was such an influence. Although he had only used a few drops of his Aether, it was so powerful that it killed off every life inside the universe, they were too weak to process the power of his Aether, and when the universe was bare and empty of every speck of life, reality seemed to flip in the opposite direction and life in all its glory and all its horror exploded across the entirety of the universe.
