Chapter 47: Chapter 47 - treasure hunt

I saw the captain from this ship, and my eyes gleamed, and a grin appeared on my face.

Then I looked at Nyx. "This battle will be legendary. Captain vs. captain. Let’s see who’s going to win."

I pointed my sword at him and said, "Let’s do man-to-man. Come at me."

He looked at me and nodded as well, and got his sword.

I gripped my sword and stepped forward. "Yey, duel of honor!"

Then I went to Nyx’s side and whispered, "Hey, as soon as you get an advantage, attack him and kill him."

Nyx’s eyes twitched, and she looked at me with speechlessness and asked, "What about all the talk you did now about the honor of the duel and legendary battle?"

I looked at her as if I were looking at an idiot.

She still looked confused, so I tapped her on the forehead and said, "You are so silly. We are pirates, not knights. What honor do we have? Let’s kill him by tricking him."

She just looked at me with a dumbfounded expression and said, "That strangely makes sense."

I grinned and took my sword and held it tightly.

Then I stepped forward, and I looked at the other captain. Immediately, we both sprinted towards each other, and I attacked him.

He managed to block my attack and said, "Hm, not bad."

Then he attacked me with the same intensity as me, and we both exchanged blows. I used my dark flame, but he countered it with a water blade, but some of the flame still affected him.

I grinned and used more force to attack him and put him on the losing end. He used electricity to attack me.

But I immediately jumped and went towards him even more vigorously, and attacked. My attack was wild and unrestrained.

There’s no pattern to read in my attack. If he isn’t familiar with this kind of battle, he is way outmatched.

But he is a captain from a pirate crew who has fought many battles and has a lot of experience.

So I need to end this before he catches on to my plan.

I used more force and pushed him towards Nyx’s side.

She saw it and sighed and got her sword as if she were doing chores.

And she prepared and waited for a little while and got the right angle and stabbed him in the back.

The captain just laughed. "Ah, you are a real pirate."

I grinned and waved at him. It’s because he too sent someone to stab me, but I killed that person.

He died while laughing.

Then I went to Nyx’s side and asked, "So, how was that? The battle is legendary, isn’t it?"

She nodded absentmindedly.

Then I used my ability on him.

Then we went around and killed others as well, then looked for loot.

Then we went to the captain’s room and looked at all the loot, and Nyx called me.

So I went to her side and saw a few treasure maps in here, and my eyes gleamed with delight.

"Hm, how about after we rob the other ship, let’s go treasure hunting for the other two?"

She nodded. Now she, too, wanted to hurriedly end this mission.

I grinned and took the map and looked around at the crew and said, "Men, rob all of the things from this ship, and let’s go to the other one and rob them as well."

"Aye aye, Captain!"

Then I went to the other ship with Nyx and looked around and saw there weren’t many people on that ship. So Nyx and I went to each room, but we didn’t find anyone. I think the other ship’s people had already killed them, or we killed them while killing the other ship’s crew.

Then we looted the ship clean and found another few treasure maps in here, so we returned to our ship.

I saw one crewmate nearby, so I called him and said, "Go and gather all the crew once more. I have an announcement."

He nodded with respect and immediately went to gather the crew once again.

Nyx asked me again, "What are you up to now?"

I assured her once more, "Don’t worry. I’ll take care of this. For me, this is a simple mission. Tower clearly underestimated me. This mission is just tailor-made for me."

She nodded. "I can see that, how you handled everything until now. Okay, let’s go."

I nodded, and we went to see the crew, and I saw they had all gathered around, awaiting me.

As soon as I arrived there, I spoke. "We managed to defeat three hostile ships and rob them of their valuables, but we didn’t come out unscathed either. Our men fell. We didn’t lose our battle, but we lost our comrades in arms."

I talked about their sacrifice, and I held the treasure map in the air. "See this, guys? We are going to hunt treasure. Be ready for many challenges and adventures. So, are you guys ready?"

They nodded and cheered. "Anything the captain says!"

"Yee!"

Then we set sail to an island with the same shape as the map we found, and we got off the ship. Nyx followed me. She had already shut down her brain and only followed me.

I looked at the map and tried to figure out which side of the island I was on. After comparing the map with the island, I finally found the direction, and I borrowed a compass from one of my crewmates and went for the treasure.

I directly followed the map until we arrived at the location, and we saw some monsters occupying the spot.

I looked at Nyx and said, "Be ready, Nyx. We are going to fight."

Then I looked at the crew members and ordered them to fight the monsters.

And I went with them as well.

I brought out both of my swords and cut down one alien beast with one sword swing and blocked the other beast with my other sword and used raw fire to take advantage.

They got burned, but they didn’t care at all, as if they didn’t even feel pain.

Nyx directly froze them to a point where they fell down as if ice breaks.

She didn’t stop there. Her sword moved with elegant proficiency. Her ice augmented the sword, and each blow dealt ice damage.

I didn’t fall behind. I used my fire to make the sword tip so hot that even the mere touch was enough to burn them away.

I swung my sword with intensity, and fire spread around. On the other side, Nyx’s ice and darkness spread intensely, making the air feel cold.

It’s a beautiful sight as fire and ice spread, and monsters fall down.

Crewmates looked at this sight with growing respect and admiration.

We managed to kill all the monsters. I moved through the battle, filled like a firestorm.

My two swords cleaved through each life with wild intensity.

I went around and used my ability, and Nyx went around and collected the monster cores from the corpses.

I got many attributes from them in all aspects.

I felt small amounts of change in my body. Now I can’t feel the increase of my power as before. I became too much more powerful, so one point didn’t highlight much.

Then we looked around the area. This is where the treasure was supposed to be, so I made a shovel out of darkness and ordered my crew, "Dig. Let’s find the treasure."

They nodded and went to grab shovels and dig the ground.

I looked at Nyx. "Hey, we don’t do princess treatment here. Make a shovel and begin to dig."

A black line appeared on Nyx’s head, and the crew members admired my courage.

But I regretted my courage a little, but I couldn’t back down. I’m the captain, so I began to dig like nothing happened.
