Chapter 332 - Elemental Spirit Beast! - Part 2
Chapter 332 - Elemental Spirit Beast! - Part 2
Alex frowned heavily upon noticing the arrival of that unknown person. He immediately suppressed his presence to the minimum and also helped Kraby. In fact, hiding was not necessary since it was tough for anyone to find them in the torrential river, that also when it was night time.
Alex could guess with his toe that he now has another competitor for the Spirit Beast. That man was looking around the river as if trying to locate the Elemental Spirit Beast.
After calming himself, Alex brought his attention back to the elemental spirit beast.
Whoever that person was, Alex didn't care. Nobody can take away this Water Elemental Spirit Beast from him.
The Spirit beast was now controlling the water around it and looking at the man clad in green robes with hatred. The current flow inside the river and around Alex suddenly increased two-fold; it seems the Spirit Beast was trying to bring Alex near it by controlling the water flow.
"Kraby, stop resisting, let the water take you." Alex transmitted his thought to his Demon Beast companion. Alex kept covering their presence so that the man floating above the river doesn't note them.
But just as they reached the hallway near the Elemental Spirit beast, it moved and rushed to the surface of the river. The Spirit Beast brought its head out and revealed itself to the man before it screamed in a weird tone, "Pingg~!"
The river's surface undulated before it moved under the control of the Spirit Beast and surged upwards in the air shot out towards the unidentified man. In midway, the water changed its form to a dragon's head.
"As expected of an Elemental spirit beast, this power is unbelievable!" Kenneth's face slightly turned as he looked in the direction of the water Elemental Spirit Beast, and right before the water dragon was about to hit him, he suddenly stuck out his finger and pointed at it.
A thumb-sized light green wind abruptly shot out of his fingertips and struck the water dragon perfectly. It blasted a hole through the Dragon's head made out of water.
"It seems you haven't recovered from your injuries. Stop resisting and come with me, or I will be forced to hurt you even more." Kenneth's eyes shined as he knew the Spirit Beast was now in his bag. He has been following it for three days and had fought numerous times with it, making it quite tired and injured.
"Pingg!~" It seems that the man's tone and speech offended the Water Element Spirit Beast and made it very angry.
It's scream resounded across the region and even suppressed the sound of the flowing river.
This time the Spirit Beast shot five water pillars at the man. Those water pillars' rose at a breakneck speed, and their end also turned took the shape of the Dragon's head roaring in anger.
But the furious attack by the Water Elemental Spirit Beast didn't seem to scare Kenneth at all. He instead lifted one of his hands in front of himself and accumulated his Qi in it to shoot down those Dragon heads.
Crackle~
But to Kenneth's surprise, the Dragon's heads suddenly started crackling with Lightning.
"Let me help you this time," Alex said in his mind as he directed the lightening Element in his body and poured it into his surrounding before merging it with the water column of the Spirit Beast, enhancing its lethality to a greater extent. His Qi was rapidly being converted into a lightening element as Alex went all out.
"Lightning! There is Lightning energy flowing in those water columns!" Kenneth exclaimed. He couldn't understand why a Water elemental Spirit beast could use the lighting Element, nor did he had time to think it over.
Kenneth immediately tried to shoot down the water dragon heads crackling with lightning sparks.
Boom!
Just as the green ball of Wind element met with the first dragon head, a huge booming sound reverberated in the air, covering the area in mist.
Swoosh!
"Wha... What!" Kenneth stared at the half-destroyed dragon head in shock. He saw it still moving towards himself while repairing its head. It seems that his wind element attack was blocked by the Lightning covering the head of the water dragon.
Kenneth apparently hadn't thought that there would be a situation like this. His figure moved, then fell towards the river fast, dodging the heads of the water-lightning Dragon from touching its body.
Alex saw that the man couldn't fly as freely as Norman, the Druid when it turned into an eagle. It took great effort for the unknown man to maneuver around the water column.
"Pinng~."
One of the water columns exploded just as Kenneth flew by it. Though he blocked it by erecting a wind barrier, It threw him off guard for a moment as he lost control of his flight trajectory and his wind technique that kept him afloat in the air. He was now falling towards the river.
"Shit... I cannot fall into the water, or I will be at the mercy of that Elemental Spirit Beast." thought Kenneth before he moved the wind element in his body to keep him afloat in the air. Falling into the river would mean his death.
"Pinng!~" the Water Elemental Spirit Beast became happy seeing this. Once its enemy enters the river, it would become easy for the elemental beast to take revenge.
"Hmph, Don't get happy so early; it's not easy to make me fall," Kenneth said as he regained control of his body and once again flew into the air.
Kenneth made a sign with both his hands, preparing to attack
Alex suddenly had a bad feeling.
"He's going to attack seriously now." Alex thought. He immediately told Kraby to swim towards the Water Elemental Spirit Beast. He can't wait anymore.
He recited a few mantras with a low voice, and a surge of wind elements crazily poured out of his hand.
Kenneth's form was like that of a petal dancing in the wind as he moved around randomly.
Each Cultivator had their own way of fighting. For example, an elemental earth cultivator often reinforced their body with Earth Qi to boost their body defenses.
Because of the protection of their earth elemental Qi, these cultivators had the most robust defenses of all the other cultivators, excluding body cultivators as they were in a different league altogether. As a contrast, their attack speed was relatively slow.
The elemental water Cultivators had their own way of attacking and defending. The water elemental Cultivators didn't lack skills and abilities and were even aggressive and varied in their uses.
Fire and Lightning element cultivators usually focused on the attack since those two elements had the most destructive power when compared to the other elements in nature. But that was only if the ordinary cultivators used them.
An elemental wind cultivator, among the other elements of nature, could be considered the lightest. In a battle, elemental wind cultivator would use their wind elemental Qi to make their bodies very lightweight, making it easier for them to evade attacks, and they were also quite fast.
A cultivator's way of fighting had a direct or indirect relation with their Qi attribute.
Kenneth was an elemental wind cultivator himself. Tiring out the Water Elemental Spirit Beast with such a method wasn't entirely wrong. However, Kenneth changed his thoughts as he found that there was something wrong.
Kenneth was a strong cultivator that wasn't to be trifled with. He moved and dodged several of the water columns and waved his hand, causing a light green shield to appear over his head.
This shield didn't protect his back but instead just blocked the Dragonhead that had been just about to hit his head. He then cast two Wind Bladedges, blasting two of the water column. He threw three more Wind Bladedges to obliterate the water columns.
With a loud bang, the Wind Bladedges and the last of the Water-lightning Dragon both vanished.
"Huh? What's that? A Demon Beast?" Kenneth finally sensed the aura of the Peak stage Rank 2 Demon Beast just before it surfaced above the water. The human sitting on its back did go unnoticed by him.
Kenneth immediately understood from where the lighting element fused with the water attack of the elemental Spirit Beast before. It was that person riding on the back of the giant crab.
Naturally, Kenneth knew what this present situation was all about.
