After killing the commander, Han Wu immediately switched to the Netherworld Jurisdiction and revived it as an undead.

The undead commander retained much of its living memories and skills, so Han Wu ordered it to command the surrounding insects into his trap.

He tossed Black Wheel Tyrant out. Fueled by his Divine Points, it spun wildly, forming a twisting vortex. Any life form that drew close was pulled in and shredded by its whirling blades.

Han Wu then applied the Gigantification Jurisdiction to Black Wheel Tyrant, increasing its size tenfold. The resulting vortex became even more massive and violent.

The undead commander released its pheromones, and insects flooded toward the vortex in droves.

Black Wheel Tyrant ground through everything that entered its range like a meat grinder. The destructive power of the Microcosm Divine Weapon was staggering. Even Subcosm life forms couldn’t survive once caught in the vortex.

Only Mesocosm insects or stronger had any chance of escaping, but insects like that were limited in number, and Han Wu could simply step in when one appeared.

Han Wu guided Black Wheel Tyrant forward while it spun, drawing insects to their deaths while simultaneously allowing him to continue his exploration. After all, he hadn’t forgotten his original purpose for entering the insect nest: to retrieve the reckless Battle Dragon Emperor.

Following the trail of carnage, Han Wu soon located the Battle Dragon Emperor. She was in terrible shape.

The insect nest’s Great Dragon suppression had limited its output to the Mesocosm rank at best. Endless waves of insects had drained her energy and stamina.

She had pushed through and defeated swarms of insects before finally collapsing from exhaustion. If Han Wu hadn’t arrived when he had, a random passing insect would’ve picked her off.

Han Wu hastily used the Life Jurisdiction to heal the Battle Dragon Emperor’s wounds, then the Conversion Jurisdiction to channel some energy into her so she could move again.

The instant she regained control over her limbs, the Battle Dragon Emperor started demanding that she be allowed to fight the insects deeper inside the nest.

Han Wu didn’t indulge her and instead punched the top of her head.

The Battle Dragon Emperor tried to fight back, but after several more heavy punches from Han Wu, she realized she couldn’t beat him while her powers were suppressed, especially not when he wielded two powerful Divine Weapons. Finally, she conceded, though not without ample grumbling.

Han Wu’s orders were simple. He wanted her to stay put and wait for instructions. The Battle Dragon Emperor didn’t want to obey but was afraid of another beating. Disgruntled, she silently swore to make Han Wu pay once they got out of the nest.

Once the Battle Dragon Emperor had settled down, Han Wu heaved a sigh of relief and continued luring massive waves of insects into the vortex.

Hundreds of millions of insects were being killed every moment. Every creature Han Wu killed inside the Slaughter Barrier became his servant, and these insects were no exception.

Han Wu stared at the mountains of insect corpses, then decided to move to the next phase, merging them.

Insect corpses had no souls. They operated purely on instinct and on Han Wu’s commands. Merging them wouldn’t affect their combat effectiveness in the slightest. After sorting the corpses by species, he merged them.

The Battle Dragon Emperor watched from the sidelines with visible disdain. She wanted to see what Han Wu could possibly accomplish with dead insects.

As the mergings progressed, her disdain morphed into shock. Insects that had been no stronger than ants broke through one threshold after another under Han Wu’s Merge.

They started from Common life forms and grew until they attained the strength of a Mesocosm corpse. This wasn’t the limit of merge. It was, however, the limit of Han Wu’s wallet.

Merging powerful corpse soldiers consumed enormous amounts of energy. When his personal reserves ran dry, Han Wu had to spend Divine Essence from his account. Spending over a million Divine Essence finally netted him a single Mesocosm insect corpse soldier.

Over a million Divine Essence for a single soldier that couldn’t truly die and would charge fearlessly into battle. It was a worthwhile investment in the long run.

He wanted to create a Macrocosm insect corpse, but that would cost tens of millions of Divine Essence. Neither his balance nor the number of insect corpses was enough.

With one million Divine Essence remaining, he had enough for one more Mesocosm insect corpse. Two Mesocosm corpses seemed a little spartan, though. After mulling it over, he settled for spending just over 10,000 Divine Essence to merge a Subcosm insect corpse.

In the end, he created ?a hundred Subcosm insect corpses. This put his total at one Mesocosm corpse, one hundred Subcosm corpses, and hundreds of millions of ordinary insect corpses. This force rivaled Han Wu’s units back before his core race underwent its evolutionary redesign.

With this army at his command, Han Wu had the confidence to push forward. The Slaughter Barrier advanced with him. Insects that entered the barrier couldn’t escape. Han Wu’s newly merged corpse legion quickly annihilated them, and their remains joined his forces?.

The Battle Dragon Emperor’s brain was not the sharpest, but an army that grew stronger the more it fought left her eyes bulging. If Han Wu were to kill Great Dragons and lead their corpses against the Great Dragons... What would the outcome be?

The Battle Dragon Emperor couldn’t imagine it. More accurately, she dared not imagine it, for she couldn’t think of a single way to stop Han Wu. In other words, Han Wu already had a viable strategy for conquering the Great Dragon race!

If Han Wu knew of the Battle Dragon Emperor’s thoughts, he would have burst into laughter. The Slaughter Jurisdiction was powerful, but not that overpowered.

Slain creatures became corpse soldiers that fought for Han Wu, each undying and self-healing. However, that came with a condition. The attacks they endured had to be ordinary attacks. The corpse soldiers could still be destroyed if a Divine Jurisdiction with development exceeding the Slaughter Jurisdiction was used against them.

Forces equivalent to a Divine Jurisdiction’s power could accomplish the same thing. A Great Dragon’s power was one example. Powerful forces from other civilizations worked too.

The corpse soldiers were useful but far from invincible. The universe was vast and full of energies that matched or exceeded a Divine Jurisdiction’s power.

Han Wu’s ever-growing corpse legion tore through insects like an unstoppable wave as they pushed deeper into the nest.
