The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend
Chapter 1096 - Gigantification Jurisdiction
Without the Colossal Centipede’s protection, the other powerful insects inside the Slaughter Barrier fell one after another. After killing the dragon-headed insect, Han Wu and the Jade Dragon Emperor felt the weight lift from their bodies. The suppression effect on them had been released.
The fight against the Colossal Centipede had drained a significant amount of their stamina and energy. That kind of exhaustion couldn’t be simply by absorbing energy from a Microcosm.
Han Wu had no choice but to dismiss the Slaughter Barrier and retreat with the Jade Dragon Emperor to rest behind the front lines. The Battle Dragon Emperor had received treatment during this time, so the Jade Dragon Emperor released her back onto the battlefield to guard against attacks from any powerful insects.
Han Wu returned to his divine realm to rest. The battle hadn’t lasted long, but the rewards were substantial. Every insect killed inside the Slaughter Barrier triggered Sacrifice, though the weaker ones didn’t drop anything worthwhile.
The Colossal Centipede was a different story. As a Macrocosm life form, it produced three great options for Han Wu.
[Option 1: Fission (Ten levels of mastery). When a limb is severed, the user can rapidly heal the wound and generate a copy from the severed limb. Each fission causes a certain degree of strength loss. At the highest level, the user can produce up to one hundred copies.]
[Option 2: Rank 10 Sacred Object: Corrosive Gland. Once equipped to the Core, the core race will develop glands capable of spraying corrosive fluid.]
[Option 3: Gigantification Jurisdiction. After comprehending it, the user can enlarge their frame or any object, either temporarily or permanently altering its form.]
All three options excited him. Every one was top-tier and worthy of that Macrocosm Colossal Centipede. Unfortunately, he could only pick one.
Han Wu began analyzing his options.
The first to be eliminated was the second option. A Rank 10 Sacred Object was rare, and the Corrosive Gland’s effect was excellent. However, Han Wu’s current units weren’t purely insects anymore, so this Sacred Object was no longer a good fit. Moreover, only a God King could equip a Rank 10 Sacred Object. He hadn’t even secured a single Jurisdiction he was fully satisfied with yet. Thus, the second option was out.
Han Wu turned his attention to the first option, Fission. During the fight against the Colossal Centipede, this ability had been the centipede’s most troublesome trait. It had allowed it to multiply while preserving as much of its strength as possible.
If the centipede hadn’t encountered absolute powerhouses like Han Wu and the Jade Dragon Emperor, it would have caught its opponents off guard and killed them. Even after splitting into one hundred copies, each with only one percent of its original strength, they could still divide an enemy’s attention. If Han Wu’s Slaughter Barrier hadn’t prevented anything from leaving, the centipede would have fled long ago with that trick.
Han Wu was fond of it because it boosted both combat power and survivability. However, it had a significant drawback. Unlike other abilities that reached peak performance upon mastery, Fission was divided into ten levels. Each one increased the number of copies the user could produce. Reaching the tenth was required to achieve the maximum of one hundred copies, and every level demanded enormous resources.
Han Wu tallied the total cost. It was enough to nurture a God King!
That made him reconsider. He already possessed Avatar Creation, which was stronger and more efficient than Fission. If he acquired this ability, only his units would benefit from it. With that, Fission’s value dropped considerably.
Han Wu turned to the third option. This one was much simpler since it was a Divine Jurisdiction. He could use the Gigantification Jurisdiction on himself to grow to massive proportions. He could also use it on objects to enlarge them. With enough energy invested, the enlargement could even become permanent. It was technically a minor Jurisdiction, but its applications in certain areas rivaled even those of major ones.[1]
Han Wu currently only had the Netherworld Jurisdiction still under development, which left him with an open slot.
After weighing everything carefully, he made his decision and picked the Gigantification Jurisdiction. He embedded it directly into his recently weakened Demon King Transformation. The moment he did, Han Wu felt it change under the Gigantification Jurisdiction’s influence.
It had become an ability capable of constant growth. Han Wu activated Demon King Transformation. Under the Gigantification Jurisdiction’s influence, the 1,000-meter Demon King form appeared inside his divine realm.
In this state, the power Han Wu could unleash was still capped at the Mesocosm rank. However, he could feel the Demon King form was growing on its own. His frame wasn’t simply becoming larger. Every aspect of his power was increasing simultaneously.
Han Wu carefully examined the changes. The growth rate was roughly 1/10,000 per hour. The rate was small, but the growth never stopped. Moreover, it had already reached this speed even though he just acquired the Gigantification Jurisdiction. He was confident that as he developed Gigantification Jurisdiction further, the growth rate would increase. Given enough time, his Demon King Transformation could very well surpass Dragonification.
All of that amounted to only one of Han Wu’s rewards. His other major prize was the Colossal Centipede’s massive carcass. Every part of a Macrocosm life form was valuable.
After dragging the centipede’s remains into the divine realm, Hammie immediately began designing a weapon around the carcass. He intended to fulfill his promise to Han Wu and forge a Microcosm Divine Weapon, and this carcass was the perfect raw material.
With Han Wu’s special assistance and V’s guidance, Hammie made rapid progress. Before long, he completed a Divine Weapon forged from the Colossal Centipede’s carcass. The weapon was wheel-shaped. Hammie forged its main body from the centipede’s dorsal carapace and embedded tens of thousands of its legs along the rim. Throughout the forging process, Chaos Energy washed over the materials as Hammie relentlessly tempered them until the weapon finally took shape.
The instant Hammie completed it, the weapon radiated the pressure of a Microcosm Divine Weapon. It also retained traces of the Colossal Centipede’s aura, which allowed it to severely intimidate any life form below the Microcosm rank without even launching an attack.
Its jet-black surface gleamed with a wild, domineering presence, so Han Wu named it Black Wheel Tyrant. Because it originated from the Colossal Centipede, it had multiple uses.
Its first function was as a throwing disc. Once it began spinning, its tens of thousands of limb blades lining its rim became extremely sharp and could slice through anything. It could easily sever limbs and decapitate enemies.
Its second function involved striking the center of the wheel to unleash sonic attacks. Its sonic output was weaker but effective against Microcosm life forms and below, making it perfect for clearing the battlefield.
Its third function was defensive. Black Wheel Tyrant could serve as a shield, and its main body could regenerate after taking damage, so Han Wu had little reason to worry about it being completely destroyed.
Han Wu was more than satisfied with Black Wheel Tyrant’s capabilities. He couldn’t wait to take this Divine Weapon and slaughter every insect in his path!
1. Wait, Sun Qingnian might need this... Or actually he might not given his impressive bodycount ☜
