It was currently Su Su’s afternoon shift. Not only were there patrons inside the House of Destiny, but a line had also formed outside.

However, thanks to a late-season heatwave, the weather had become abnormally hot again. As a result, not too many people were waiting in line in this spot, which offered no shade.

The inside of the House of Destiny was somewhat hot as well. It was a large tent-like structure, after all. Even with an air conditioner, it was only slightly better than outside because there was no proper partition at the entrance. Su Su absolutely loathed the idea of installing transparent plastic strip curtains, so the constantly opening tent flap became the biggest reason the cool air escaped.

Luckily, Su Su, who was no longer bothered by such temperature fluctuations, was considerate enough to aim the air conditioner’s airflow directly at the customer area. This way, even if the average temperature inside the tent remained high, it was still relatively cool for the patrons when they came in.

"Just a moment, please!"

She apologized to the couple in front of her, then poked her head out of the tent to take a look. It wasn’t a holiday, so the amusement park wasn’t too crowded today. There were only four groups of people waiting outside: three couples, and two other guys who probably weren’t planning on getting separate readings.

"Um, everyone can come in together!"

Some of the people in line were still chatting among themselves. The couple at the front hadn’t seen the previous couple leave, so they didn’t think it was their turn yet. It wasn’t until Su Su called out twice that they noticed the "Witch" had come out of the House of Destiny.

"Everyone, please come on in. It’s awfully hot outside, but there’s AC in here. I’ll be doing a group divination today."

Su Su put on a look of concern for the park-goers, staunchly denying that she was the one in a hurry.

Including the couple still inside the tent, there were a total of four couples, plus two male college students who had originally just come to see the pretty "Witch" they’d heard about.

As soon as the eleven of them took their seats on the cushions, the atmosphere turned a little strange. Everyone seemed to be glancing, intentionally or not, toward the two young men, making them feel like they were on pins and needles.

The main reason was that the House of Destiny was now known by default for focusing on romantic fortunes. There would have been nothing wrong with two guys coming alone to see the pretty Witch, but in the current setting, it just felt odd.

At a time like this, they had a strong urge to shout, "We’re not gay!" But it seemed like doing so would only backfire, so they had to pretend to be calm.

"Ahem! I do apologize. I had a bit of an experimental idea and wanted to try a group divination for all of you. Well then, let’s begin!"

The couple who had overheard Su Su’s phone call earlier didn’t call the "Witch" out. Instead, like everyone else, they waited with great interest for the divination to start.

The Crystal Ball sat peacefully on the table. Her fair, delicate hand swiped over the Crystal Ball, about a centimeter above its surface.

The eleven of them felt their vision blur for a moment. It was as if they had seen mist inside the Crystal Ball, but when they looked closer, it seemed to be a trick of the eye.

In Su Su’s eyes, the relationships of the four couples all had a blurry reflection, showing signs of both joy and conflict. However, with her current Magic Power, divining the past of ordinary people was manageable, but seeing the future was limited to blurry possibilities and consumed a great deal of Magic Power.

She wasn’t about to waste it. She just paused for a moment when she looked at the two young men.

Seeing the "Witch" staring at the two guys, the others in the tent began to look at them even more strangely.

"Don’t misunderstand, don’t misunderstand! They’re just regular friends!"

Su Su chimed in with a considerate explanation for them. However, her words only made the two young men want to cry but have no tears, terrified that everyone would misunderstand even more.

She randomly shared a few details based on the images she saw for the couples, which elicited a wave of praise like, "Wow, that’s so accurate!" and "It’s true..." Then, she only picked out positive future possibilities, telling them that all true lovers would have their happy ending. After about ten minutes, she finally wrapped up these few sessions.

Even though they were under the air conditioner, beads of sweat kept forming on Luo Yuguang and Ping Lei’s foreheads.

The four couples happily left one after another. They all gave the two young men looks of either goodwill or subtle curiosity, seemingly convinced of their intentions for staying behind alone. However, to avoid awkwardness and be respectful, the eight of them left without saying a word.

Luo Yuguang’s mind screamed, ’Hey, don’t go! Hey!!!’

Ping Lei’s thoughts were frantic. ’No, it’s not what you think! Something’s weird about this place... Don’t go!’

The thought echoed in both their minds: ’Don’t leave the two of us behind!!!’

Once the four, now even more lovey-dovey couples had left, Su Su walked to the entrance, lowered both the inner and outer tent flaps, and placed a "Temporarily Closed" sign out front.

"Alright, now it’s just us! Heheh~"

Su Su pulled down the hood of her "work uniform," revealing soft, pale-gold hair and a beautiful face.

She leaned in from behind the two young men, smiling as she looked from one nervous, sweaty face to the other.

"What’s wrong? Didn’t you come here specifically to see me?"

From the moment the fortune-telling for the couples’ relationships had begun, Luo Yuguang and Ping Lei discovered they couldn’t speak. Soon after, they realized they couldn’t even move.

They just sat there on the cushions, their faces stiff, watching helplessly as the couples left.

’These two are really interesting,’ Su Su thought. ’Is the world really this small? It feels like people from the Association have an unusually high chance of running into strange things, for better or for worse.’

’Or, just as my Mentor said, the way the world’s rules work is that powerful people tend to encounter strange things. That’s because the strong, whether on a supernatural or a conventional level, interfere with a much broader scope of both the mundane and hidden worlds.’

’Of course, Cui Ying’s special constitution is an exception.’

These two college students, currently unable to speak, were not problematic in themselves. However, while Su Su couldn’t see their future clearly, she could perceive a faint, unusual color around them.

Seeing that no one was around, Su Su touched each of their foreheads with a finger. The two of them immediately passed out.

She pointed a finger toward the Crystal Ball from a distance, and it floated up on its own.

The Magic Power emanating from her body enveloped the Crystal Ball, linking with it. Wisps of divination mist began to appear within the Crystal Ball.

Su Su returned to her seat and stared intently at the Crystal Ball, as if she were looking through it and at the two young men.

The future of these two guys was actually a strange, ominous shade of red. Furthermore, without using a large amount of Magic Power, she found it difficult to maintain the divination state.

"Whew... Two unlucky, yet lucky, guys."

The situation was already obvious. To put it in simple terms: these two were heading for a bloody disaster in the near future.

And the source of this disaster was likely not something conventional.

SNAP. She snapped her fingers.

The two of them dazedly slumped forward, falling asleep against the small table.

Su Su composed herself and waited for about ten seconds.

BANG! BANG! BANG! A fair, delicate hand slammed hard on the table.

"Wake up! Gentlemen, wake up!"

Luo Yuguang and Ping Lei were jolted awake. In a daze, they realized they were still in the House of Destiny at the amusement park.

"Us? Weren’t we unable to move...?"

"Unable to move? What are you talking about? Honestly, I’ve never seen anyone fall asleep during a divination! Everyone else left, but you two just stayed here sleeping. I couldn’t even shake you awake! I was this close to calling security!"

The beautiful "Witch" before them looked genuinely angry. ’So it was just a dream...’

"Haha! I just dreamed that I couldn’t move!"

"Uh, me too..."

Hearing them say this, Su Su’s expression changed.

"What? Sirs, you had the same dream? Here? What were the specific details?"

When the two heard they’d had the same dream, they were about to suspect the "Witch." But seeing her tense and pressing for details, they seemed to understand something and instinctively stuck to calling it a "dream."

"I dreamed that during the divination, Ping Lei and I couldn’t move at all. We could only watch helplessly as everyone else left."

The "Witch" began to tidy up the things on her table as she spoke to them gravely.

"Gentlemen, while I may just be a second-rate amusement park Fortune-Teller, I must warn you: be careful for the next little while!"

"Oh, right. The House of Destiny is closed for the day. You two can leave with me through the back."

The two followed Su Su outside the tent and watched as she secured the tent and fastened the zipper lock.

"Um... Miss Witch, we’re not going to be in trouble, are we? Do you have any other advice?"

Su Su rolled her eyes at them.

"What advice could I have? Go to bed early, wake up early, don’t go out at night, and don’t wander into random places. I have somewhere to be, I’m leaving. My Mentor is waiting for me!"

Ignoring the two young men, Su Su ran directly toward the amusement park’s parking lot. ’I’ll sort out taking time off for leaving early later,’ she thought.
