Chapter 454: Chapter 211: Fishing

Some people thought along the same lines as Howard, believing Sean came from some great family and was on board to gather materials for them.

Elise was also wondering about Sean’s motive.

Compared to Howard and the others, she felt she knew Sean best. The man always had his own reasons for doing things.

Elise thought of the Blazing Angel Family.

‘Is this guy preparing a gift for his visit to the Blazing Angel Family?’

Actually, no.

It was none of those things.

Sean said something shocking, “Help me get this to the kitchen. Let’s have them make a few pots of fish soup.”

Howard: “?”

The security captain: “??’

The crowd of fishermen: “?????”

What?

Soup??

You’re using such a precious Deep Sea White Shark to make soup??

Elise, too, was dumbfounded for a moment.

“Mr. Writer, you…”

‘Isn’t this a bit… too extravagant?’

“Enough of that. Let’s go.”

He had come here to fish to confirm a few things.

To see if, after all these years, those little guys living in the depths of the Winterless Sea had changed, and whether they still remembered him.

Now that the “fish” was caught, it proved they hadn’t changed. Why stick around?

Most of the time, he didn’t like crowded places. They were too noisy.

As for extravagance…

‘I can’t very well tell Elise that I used to make soup from Deep Sea White Sharks every day, can I?’

‘Elise would figure out my identity if I did.’

Sean remained silent in response to Elise’s question. He took her hand, pushed through the crowd, and left the deck under the gazes of everyone, a mixture of admiration and heartbreak in their eyes.

What a magnificent white shark!

And he was using it for soup…

It was an utter waste of a priceless treasure!

But the fish belonged to Sean, and they couldn’t interfere. They could only watch as the security captain called some men over to carry the Sea Beast to the kitchen.

“Teacher, wait for me!”

Howard hurried to follow.

He also wanted to taste the Deep Sea White Shark!

This request was somewhat impolite.

After all, they had only just met.

And he was the one who had decided to start calling him “Teacher.”

But to Howard’s surprise, Sean didn’t chase him away. Instead, he actually invited him to an extremely sumptuous dinner.

When the white shark soup—prepared and cooked by dozens of chefs—was brought to the table, Howard was dizzy from the aroma.

‘This is the smell of money!’

“Drink slowly, don’t burn yourself,” Sean said with a smile.

A shark that big… they wouldn’t be able to finish it all by the time they disembarked.

The rest would be gifted to the Rose Goddess.

“Thank you, Teacher!”

Howard was deeply moved.

He had been the one to look down on Sean first and even provoke him, yet Sean had repaid his malice with kindness and invited him to a feast.

Where else could you find someone so good?

No matter what, he was determined to befriend Sean today.

“Mr. Sean.”

During the small talk before the meal, Howard had learned Sean’s name. He apologized to Sean very seriously, “It was my narrow-mindedness before. I misspoke. I’ll use this soup in place of wine to apologize to you, Mr. Sean. I hope you can forgive me.”

After speaking, he ladled another bowl of soup and drank it all in one go.

Elise: “…”

Sean: “?”

‘You little brat, you just want to drink a few more bowls of soup, don’t you?’

Howard finished the bowl of soup, wiped his mouth, and added, “Although I don’t know what business Mr. Sean has in Austin Castle, the Golden Coast is the Grev Family’s territory. If you need any help, Mr. Sean, please don’t hesitate to ask.”

Sean politely declined, “Oh, I couldn’t possibly impose.”

“It’s no trouble at all,” Howard said. “Just consider it my way of atoning for my earlier behavior.”

Wait… Hearing the words “Golden Coast,” Elise suddenly realized something.

The Grev Family was supposed to be a vassal family to the Potter Earl Family, responsible for managing the Golden Coast. And the ship carrying the Captain of the Forbidden Guard, Fan Ke’er, and his men was also docking at the Golden Coast. The Grev Family would surely have news of them.

‘So… this guy really was fishing?’

‘Except the fish wasn’t the Deep Sea White Shark, but Howard from the Grev Family?’
