"Mmm... S-Sean..."

"Something really did fall... huff... It looks like a person..."

"That has nothing to do with us, does it?"

"Don't try to fool me."

The young woman's heavy, sweet breaths washed over Sean's lips, making his heart race again. He cupped Elvire's flushed cheeks and kissed her once more.

"Mmm... Sean!" In the darkness, Elvire's eyes were misty, like a galaxy submerged at the bottom of a lake. Her eyes reflected Sean's face, and in a way, her own, drowning in the rippling water, unable to break free.

She had to admit, Sean was very good at this. The heat of his lips and tongue made her feel so, so hot, as if her body was about to burst into flames. But she wasn't the kind of foolish woman who forgot everything the moment she was kissed. Elvire still remembered Sean coming out of Eleanor's room this morning, and she remembered where they were.

The Well of Hell.

A mysterious place for the Farm World, one filled with both hope and danger.

A few days ago, Bofunova had transferred everyone nearby away, but the security cordon had not been removed. This was still an off-limits restricted area in the eyes of the people of Sonaros State. So, theoretically, besides her and Sean, no one else should be here, and certainly no one would be throwing things into the well.

Due to their position, Sean, who had the young woman pressed against the wall with her back to the deep well, might not have noticed. But Elvire had seen it clearly and was certain she hadn't been mistaken.

The thing was glowing. It had the silhouette of a person.

It was very likely an enemy.

In the end, reason won out over emotion. Although Elvire, who was getting her first taste of the exquisite battle of lips and tongues, was loath to part with this strange, feverish pleasure, it was clearly not the right time to continue. Elvire didn't want this kiss to be her last.

She forcefully pushed the man away, avoiding Sean's scorching gaze, and said, "That's enough... I'm really not lying. If you don't believe me, look down yourself."

Only then did Sean reluctantly turn his head.

The "thing" had already fallen several hundred more meters by now. The human figure was no longer visible, but the glow from the small flame it held was still barely visible.

Sean was taken aback. "There really is something?"

"A torch?"

"No." Elvire quickly straightened her clothes, which Sean had disheveled, and walked over to stand beside him, looking down. "It's a person holding a torch."

"A person?"

Sean's brow furrowed. He felt this was no simple matter. "Could it be someone from the Church Court, trying to go back through the Gate of Hell?"

As he spoke, a golden light suddenly bloomed in his hand. Countless characters flew from his palm, piling up in mid-air to form a massive brick, which he prepared to hurl downward.

"Wait," Elvire said, grabbing Sean's arm.

Sean thought she didn't understand what he meant. A faint killing intent flickered in his eyes as he explained, "That person just fell past us from above. They've most likely seen our faces. To be safe, we can't let them return to the New World successfully."

Seeing their faces wasn't a big deal in itself. The fear was that the person might also know their identities.

It was the kind of thing you couldn't afford to overthink. The more you thought about it, the more uneasy you became.

If possible, the best solution was to silence them for good.

"I understand," Elvire said. She hadn't grabbed Sean to stop him, but because she felt a single brick might not be enough to kill someone. They needed to add more power.

So, Elvire silently recited a Spell and coated Sean's Brick of Truth in a layer of churning Blazing Angel Flame. This fire, condensed using a Secret Technique, was far more powerful than ordinary flames. It was, after all, a Small Forbidden Spell. Unless one was a Grand Mage, even a tiny speck of it would leave an enemy dead or severely burned.

"Okay, throw it," Elvire said.

Sean nodded emphatically. "My dear wife is always so thoughtful."

But just as he gathered his strength, ready to give this sudden intruder a super-sized version of kicking them while they were down, a grief-stricken, indignant voice suddenly echoed up from below—

"Sean!"

"Elvire!"

"You two bastards!!"

"Bastards... ards..."

Complete with an echo.

Sean's hand was already raised. The sudden shout nearly made him throw out his back.

'Wait, why does that voice sound so familiar?'

"Elise??"

Elvire was also stunned for a moment. She shouted down into the well, "Elise, is that you?"

"Who else would it be!!"

'Besides a dumbass like me, who else would recklessly jump into a bottomless abyss out of worry that these two were in danger??'

Elise was about to die from anger.

Her nerves had been stretched taut the whole way, terrified that some accident had befallen Sean and Elvire. When she heard what sounded like eating, she had jumped down without hesitation. She had even prepared for the worst—if Sean and Elvire had really been eaten by some foul creature, she would risk her own life to avenge her friends!

But what was the result?

These two were actually making out in the well!

They were swapping spit!

Damn it!

Elise rarely cursed. She wanted to be an elegant, mature woman, but this time, she just couldn't hold it in.

'Coming to a godforsaken place like this to chew on each other's tongues, is that something a normal person would do?'

'Even if you're looking for a thrill, this isn't the way to do it, right?'

Up above.

After confirming the "thing" that had fallen was her good friend, Elvire instantly realized what had happened. Knowing she was in the wrong, her cheeks burned with shame, and her voice became much softer. "Why don't you... come up first?"

Sean also quickly retracted the brick and said, "Yes, yes, yes! Whatever it is, let's talk after you come up."

Elise roared back indignantly, "I can't get back up!"

Of course she wanted to go up.

Not only did she want to go up, she also wanted to punch both of them.
