Her words moved many of the pathwalkers who had sworn loyalty to her.
“Your Majesty, you are the last royal to bear the name and blood of Hlakaschken,” her bodyguards urged. “What will happen to the royal bloodline and to the royal monarchy if you allow your life to before taken?!”
Her expression softened as a small smile cracked at the edge of her mouth.
“This country doesn’t need a royal monarchy.”
Her words left the pathwalkers aghast. “B-But Your Majesty!”
“A nation is its people.” Her tone was strong. “A nation without its Empress is still a nation, but an Empress without her people is no Empress. Remember what matters and protect it.”
Her words left a strong impact on those around her.
She stood at the very edge of the inner ring of the port system in front of all the pathwalkers.

It sent chills across the skin of those who beheld the apocalyptic red hue that it brought about. Its ominous red grew brighter as it began consuming the sky around it like an infection that only spread further and further.
Behind the emerging red star was a tsunami unlike anything Empress Schlieffen had ever seen. It was a wall of water that magically rose in the air, drawn to the Dragon Emperor’s body with the force of his gravitational field.

“What…” Empress Schlieffen’s voice was one of horror. “What is that…?”
The blood-red light of the emerging red star began corrupting the bright blue morning sky. The eerie and ominous radiation that the dragon released was so intense that its interactions with the atmosphere triggered a special scattering effect.
One that turned the entire sky blood-red, doused in the gamma radiation that his body released.
It was no more than a simple phenomenon of light.
And yet, to all the pathwalkers who beheld the sky, it was nothing short of the dawn of an apocalypse.
The likes of which they had never seen in their entire lives.
“T-The tsunami draws closer!” The commander of the seaport system corps could barely squeeze out an order with how suffocating the sense of peril was. “Activate the anti-radiation electromagnetic energy field!”

A thin, blue transparent energy barrier of the electromagnetic force emerged around Grinolia Island, protecting the Hlakaschken Trade Empire from the gamma radiation that the dragon emitted.
Of course, it didn’t help that his presence was irradiating the seas, but that was hardly their greatest problem at the moment.
“Here he comes…!” Empress Schlieffen gritted her teeth as she steeled her expression.
“Target has entered siege range, commence the siege!”
The mighty cannons on the port system of the Hlakaschken Trade Empire began churning with power as they unleashed beams of plasma with great power and speed.

The Dragon Emperor slowed down to a halt as he floated midair like a fish underwater with the gentlest of motions.
Not a single person could bring themselves to say a word as they admired and feared his extraordinary body, from the radioactive scales that led out a flood of blood-like radiation, the mighty wings that emerged from his back, and the unfathomable gravitational field that emerged from his body.
It would have drawn them all in towards him if not for measures taken ahead of time.
His presence bore down on them like that of a god before peasants.
“I must say…” Lord Shenlong began as his eerie reptilian eyes swept across the pathwalkers gathered to fight him, rendering them paralyzed. “…I’m impressed. The Hlakaschken Trade Empire was not as toothless as I once remembered it to be.”
His eyes returned to the diminutive woman who stood before all of them, glaring at him defiantly.
“You have courage, little Empress,” he sneered with a hint of derision. “Courage for a woman, anyway, but courage nonetheless.”
Empress Schlieffen sharpened her gaze. “…Lord Shenlong, we, the Hlakaschken Trade Empire, are a sovereign state recognized by every nation in the world, including the Beast Clans of Kiriket. You cannot—”
“I can do whatever I want.” Lord Shenlong’s eyes ominously shifted to the Hlakaschken Trade Empire.
“Allow me to demonstrate.”
