Chapter 96: Soul Search 2

They ignored the two devastated brothers’ wide eyes, and soon Lupine’s phantom figure vanished.

And Moon’s red eyes snapped open.

With those eyes, he looked at Axe and Nox, and the smile on his face clearly said, "You are doomed."

Axe felt a shiver run down his spine.

"Fuck! This old thug is up to no good," he muttered to Nox, who nodded in agreement.

But Lupine didn’t pay much attention.

He was happy to be on his feet after a long, long, long time.

He swung his hand and made a gesture that Axe found utterly disgraceful for Moon’s demeanor.

Then he hopped and strode all over the cave for a few moments, making Axe’s and Nox’s eyes burn with shame as they mourned for Moon, who was clearly not a man who would do this move.

Their image of the immortal, ethereal beauty, Moon, was ruined in just a few breaths.

Lupine didn’t care. He even sent a flying kiss to Leo, who was bristling with red fur and baring his teeth...

Lupine moved to the five bodies and waved his hand.

The five men stirred and soon woke up, looking dazed.

Lupine pressed his hand on one man’s head and closed his eyes, sucking in the memory.

The soul connection was weak since Moon’s novice power was too low to handle his full soul, so Lupine sealed away most of his power and only used a tiny fraction.

His own soul was also trapped for so long that it was not as strong and volatile as it used to be.

As he sent his soul power, tiny fragments of memories rushed into his mind.

Inside the memory, the setting wasn’t Malong City or any pack grand hall. It was the Black Sea itself that they had left a few days ago.

Lupine’s smile slowly broadened.

He pushed the black-clothed man’s head, from whom he was searching for memories, and scoffed amusedly.

"Heh! You mongrel fool!" he scorned.

Axe and Nox looked at Moon’s devilish expression with a smile that made their skin crawl, and felt strange yet eager to know what he was looking at.

Lupine tilted his head, showing Moon’s alluring, jade-like neck, and gulped down.

"..." Axe and Nox both looked at each other.

They couldn’t tell how they should feel.

Better not want to bite.

As if knowing their very soul, Lupine tugged at his collar and revealed his fine shoulder.

"Fuck!" Axe cursed.

"You don’t play with others’ bodies," Nox said grumpily.

"I am not playing. I am itchy," Lupine said with an expression he thought fragile but, in reality, it looked like a threat.

"Hurry up. There are four more," Axe urged. He picked up Leo and started to rub his fur vigorously.

"Humph! What is so urgent? These trashes don’t have anything useful, just trashy words to please their master and a pile of orders."

Saying this, he turned to the second one.

By the time he finished all five, Nox was almost going blank. Because Lupine in the middle had come to grope his bicep and touch his cheeks, and even tried to kiss Axe, who ran away like he was seeing a ghost.

They can’t hit that body, and they also can’t touch it.

What kind of nonsense is this?

Axe glared at Lupine like he wanted to tear the soul apart immediately.

"That’s enough! Leave the body now!" He grumbled.

Lupine chuckled and threw a sultry flying kiss as he said in a sweet tone, "Darling, catch me."

Before the brothers could react, Moon’s body shook, and he fell directly onto the ground.

The phantom figure of Warlord Lupine flew above and clucked twice.

"You both are such useless hounds. I said, hold him. Look now, his robe is all dirty on the ground, and he may have lost some..."

"..." Nox was speechless.

"Isn’t it because of you that we didn’t go near? You should say you are departing with him,"

Axe said irritably.

He picked up Moon from the ground and stormed toward the path they came in.

"Open it. We don’t have any work here," he demanded.

"You! Brat, this is my place. Beg me, or I will just leave you here," Lupine roared.

"Master, my dearest master, please open the door for the sake of my wife," Axe said amicably.

"Humph, though it’s fake, I accept your request."

Lupine opened the path again with a wave of his hand, and they all entered the treasure vault again.

Nox looked behind the now closed path and felt thoughtful. "What was that? Seems like outer space."

"Hmm, just an addition to keep people in," Lupine shrugged.

Axe placed Moon on the piled-up cushions and let him rest.

They continued their own training.

Leo and Rio were surprisingly silent, looking back and forth between Lupine and Moon.

Leo tried to lick Moon’s face, but Lupine was guarding like a hell guard.

It didn’t take much time before Moon woke up from his slumber.

Though his body still felt very loose and not like his body at all, since they were in a hurry, Moon forced himself to be sober.

Lupine looked at Moon’s face worriedly. Fun aside, he was really concerned about Moon. His own soul had been getting thinner and thinner.

That’s why he dared to possess a fraction of Moon.

Still, in his prime, he could even cut a mountain down in a full swing.

Can this little boy hold his power?

Lupine was narcissistic and proud, but time can still bring a person’s arrogance down sometimes. Not to mention, his nemesis was not glory. His outlet was not prideful.

And he was still an utter failure, trapped in his own artifact.

Lupine let out a long breath, seeing Moon stir.

He came down to his side.

"Tsk tsk, such a weak body! Can you even be eligible to know something so serious? What’s the use of knowing?" he scoffed and combed his beard.

"Um, just say it- what you found, Master?" Moon’s voice slurred with some difficulty.
