The Mage's 5 Fated Alphas (BL)
Chapter 61: Contract with Oshan
Oshan’s abdomen felt like someone had clutched it and was trying to tear his organs out, not to mention the mountain-like weight that had suddenly fallen on him.
He knew it was Moon’s work.
He had clearly chosen the wrong target. He huffed for a second, then spoke up in a low voice.
"Bruce Hunter clan."
"So it was the Luna who sent you. Fuck that bitch!" Before Oshan could continue, Nox sprang up in anger.
"Leave her alone. I will exchange my life." Oshan looked straight at Moon, deliberately avoiding Nox’s vulgar swearing. His voice trembled with newfound fear; it had been so long since he had been afraid of anyone.
"No way we will forgive her. She ruined my mother’s life." Nox stood there, clenching his fists, his wild nuts completely scattered across the ground.
Moon looked at him and scolded, "Why are you jumping up? Sit down."
Nox hesitated but still sat down, gathering his nuts into a bowl.
His fingers trembled with suppressed rage.
"Please," Oshan whispered, as if pleading to himself.
Moon chuckled. "Still have feelings, I see." His hand shifted to comb the white fur of Rio, who was purring in his lap and entirely oblivious to worldly matters. "I will leave her to you. But you need to make a contract with me." Moon’s attention shifted back to Oshan.
"A contract not to betray us, and to never use others indirectly to harm us. You must also keep our secrets—and everything you see here—an absolute secret. If you go back on your word, you will die from the backlash."
His voice was so calm and soft that it made Oshan’s skin crawl.
He slowly sat up and nodded. "Okay, I agree. I will be your man from now on. I only have two requests," he said, taking a deep breath.
"Speak."
"Help me revive my clan and take my revenge. We have a common enemy, anyway. And..." he paused.
Axe grunted from his mat, "Say it at once. Are you sucking a dick or something? Pausing every few words."
"Pffft!"
Ugo’s tea spilled, and Nox turned his head to give Axe a high-five in amusement.
Oshan ignored them and continued firmly, "Help me cultivate immortality. You are a cultivator, aren’t you?"
Moon was silent.
After a few moments, he shook his head. "I am a mage. People on my continent are mages. It’s similar to a cultivator, but not really the same. Regardless, both paths lead to immortality." He paused, contemplating something else.
That warlord might not have been from his previous world, meaning there were likely more continents, and the power scale could be more diverse.
He sighed. "To practice my mage arts, you must have a power core. People on this continent don’t seem to have one."
Oshan’s eyes visibly dimmed.
He threw a dry piece of tree bark into the fire. "Okay, then just try to increase my strength. We will see if we can find a way later."
Moon nodded. "Give me a leather scroll like the map. You have more, right?"
Oshan shook his head. "No, that one is ancient. Legend has it it was made from an ancient wolf’s skin that is immune to all fire, water, and air. It is entirely indestructible. We have no second piece."
"There are still the other seven maps," Axe corrected.
"Yes, there are. I meant that other than the maps, there is no second piece of this leather."
Oshan took out another wrapped leather piece and handed it to Moon.
Moon took it. It was by no means as extraordinary as the map, but it was still of high quality.
He bit his finger and drew an inscription on the leather skin, engraving the contract words with his blood.
He knew his previous world’s Dao rules were invalid here, so he altered the technique to utilize the Moon Goddess’s Dao rules.
Leo stirred on his lap and lifted his head, licking the remaining blood from Moon’s fingers. His fur bristled for a moment, then flashed bright red.
Moon threw the leather into the air and looked at Oshan. The piece of leather glowed brightly in midair between them.
"Drip your blood on it, and swear to the Moon Goddess that from now on, you are my ally. No betrayal is allowed, or your soul will leave your body and never be allowed to reincarnate."
Oshan’s eyes gleamed. He slashed his palm with a knife and smeared his blood onto the contract. It glowed brightly under the night sky, then vanished.
The air shifted.
Moon felt a faint connection with Oshan.
From the side, Ugo suddenly asked, "So this is how you form a contract? Weren’t you planning to make a contract with us?"
Hearing his remark, Moon went stiff.
His ears turned red at once.
He remembered clearly how he had been naked when he first landed on this realm, desperately trying to form an equal contract with the brothers.
Nox looked at Moon’s face with pitiful, hurt eyes. "Mooney, you contracted him before us. Are you abandoning your own mates?"
Axe also sat up, his gaze locking onto Oshan. "Ha, you old buzzard actually dare to make a bond with our mate." His eyes narrowed into slits.
Moon felt awkward as he waved his hand in defense. "Wait, wait, wait... this and that are not the same, you know." He scolded, cutting off their ridiculous accusations in front of a man who could be his father.
"But you still haven’t bonded with us." The ever-gentle Ugo was the one protesting this time.
"Weren’t it you who didn’t want to make a contract?" Moon said dismissively.
All three of them suddenly fell silent.
Moon could feel a faint aching throb in his heart. He looked around and felt it must have been coming from the brothers.
’Are they... feeling insecure?’ Moon thought, his lips twitching at the notion.
His lips curled with amusement, and the smile slowly erupted into pure laughter.
He looked at the three bewildered, defeated wolves and the two pairs of cute, pitiful pup eyes.
Suddenly, he felt that maybe meeting them wasn’t so bad after all.
Soon, his laughter infected the others. Oshan Dew tittered.
Nox followed suit by pouncing on Moon’s back, hugging him tightly in embarrassment as he rubbed his head against the crook of Moon’s neck.
Axe and Ugo looked at each other, then followed Nox’s lead to hug him from the side.
For a moment, Moon felt like he was going to be suffocated to death, yet he didn’t push them away.
