"Huh?" Moon looked at her blankly.

He could understand most of the words, yet every single one of them sounded so forbidden.

Xiao Hong floated closer and said,

"Ayi....? You already kissed one of them today. Don’t be biased. Just hug him a little, kiss him, and say a few nice words. This wolf is so whipped for you that he’s still sulking because you left him alone. Can’t you see?" She winked at Moon.

Then she twirled dramatically in the air, pressed the back of her hand against her forehead, and recited in a sorrowful voice, "Ah! My poor heart! My wife won’t even look at me after I become a beast. He just left me because of my curse. How? How could I possibly endure this heartache? My heart aches so much that even my groin is getting harder and hard..."

Cough! Cough! Cough!

Frostbane coughed, though he showed no other signs of being uncomfortable.

"Enough." He knitted his brows at Xiao Hong.

"Tsk, tsk. No fun!" she mumbled.

She stopped her performance and straightened up, finally putting away her exaggerated expression.

When she spoke again, her voice was serious. "If you want him to accept the contract, you should make him feel that you want him. Don’t treat him like a slave. Even beasts can sense your intentions." ℯ𝓵.

Moon’s face turned red at once. "I—I have never intended to make him a slave."

His gaze returned to the half-scrolled contract, which remained suspended in the air with its golden light flickering.

The soul energy within it had stagnated, neither advancing nor retreating.

Moon’s stomach dropped.

He couldn’t keep this up for much longer. The longer the contract remained unfinished, the greater the strain on his soul would become.

He glanced at the fiery wolf sitting on the stone platform.

Leo’s red eyes remained fixed on him.

His body swayed slightly under the effects of the pill, and his movements had become sluggish. The spiritual net surrounding him was glowing faintly, resembling a gentle breeze trapped inside crystal glass.

It looked beautiful and harmless.

But no matter how beautiful it appeared, it was still a cage.

Moon had misjudged the situation.

He had assumed that Leo’s current state would make the contract easier to establish, but he had underestimated the wolf’s resistance.

He withdrew the barrier around Leo and approached him.

He could feel everyone’s eyes following his every movement. If he had known things would become this awkward, he would have tried to do it privately.

But then again, he hadn’t been confident enough to risk attempting the contract alone.

After all, Leo wasn’t a proper beast. He was a half-human, half-beast whose soul still possessed a strong will, even if his human consciousness hadn’t fully returned.

Moon sighed.

He really didn’t want to do this in front of everyone.

But there was no other choice.

’Fine. Just once. For the contract.’

Moon reluctantly lifted his hand toward Leo.

Leo was still dizzy.

His dreamy eyes followed Moon’s hand as it landed on his head. Moon hesitated for a moment before slowly stroking his fur, then moved his hand down toward his neck.

Leo’s tail puffed up.

He finally closed his eyes and purred softly, seemingly enjoying the touch.

The golden glow brightened at once, and the scroll gave a soft hum.

Moon’s eyes lit up.

Was it finally working?

He waited for the contract to seal, but the scroll merely hovered in the air, glowing faintly.

The golden light pulsed once before settling into the same stagnant state as before.

Moon’s expression stiffened.

What else did this wolf want?

He glanced at Leo, who remained motionless with his eyes closed, then reluctantly leaned closer and carefully wrapped his arms around the wolf’s thick neck.

For a moment, the air became completely still.

It was as if everyone had caught their breath, waiting to see what would happen next.

Moon’s cheeks grew hot, and his face turned red.

Then, suddenly, Leo’s huge body pushed forward, almost knocking Moon off balance.

His warm fur pressed against Moon’s chest as he rubbed his head against the side of Moon’s neck, sniffing him eagerly.

Before Moon could react, a rough tongue licked his face.

"Fuck!" he cursed under his breath, squeezing his eyes shut in shame.

He knew it!

This wolf was no good.

Moon pushed his head away.

He couldn’t see Xiao Hong’s face, but he knew for sure that she was suppressing her laughter.

His face burned hotter.

He had never imagined that he would have to hug and coax a wolf into accepting a soul contract.

And now, he had to endure all this licking in front of everyone!

He took a deep breath and leaned closer to Leo’s ear.

"Come on... accept it already. Okay?"

The scroll trembled violently.

Leo let out a deep rumble.

The sound vibrated through Moon’s body as the wolf shifted his front paws, trying to get even closer.

Moon’s heart jumped.

’Don’t you dare!’ he screamed in his mind.

He quickly pressed a kiss against the side of Leo’s furry head before the beast could do anything more.

"Please, just seal already, you..."

The golden light on the scroll suddenly flared.

With a soft hum, the scroll finally rolled up completely. Its golden light scattered, dividing into two streams that entered their bodies.

And the soul contract was sealed.

Moon’s heart throbbed as the connection settled into his soul.

He could feel Leo’s presence through the newly established bond, along with the warmth of the fire energy flowing into his soul sea.

The energy surged through him for a moment before gradually calming down.

Moon let out a long breath of relief.

Finally!

He had managed to form a soul contract with Leo.

He had been worried that the contract might fail or damage his soul, but it had worked in the end.

Now he only needed to...

Moon began to pull away, intending to put some distance between himself and the overly enthusiastic wolf.

Unfortunately, Leo had other plans.

The moment Moon moved, the red wolf lunged forward.

"Hell...!"

Moon barely managed to cry out before the huge body covered in thick red fur slammed into him.

They crashed onto the terrace floor.

Leo’s weight pinned Moon down, and his hot breath blew against Moon’s face.

Before Moon could even push him away, the wolf’s rough tongue dragged across his chin and cheek once again.

"Leo! Get off, you idiot!" Moon cursed.

The wolf completely ignored him.

He continued licking and rubbing against Moon, pressing his huge body closer as if he had been waiting for this moment the entire time.

His front paws trapped Moon’s shoulders, while his tail wagged so hard that little sparks flew across the stone.

Moon struggled beneath him, but the more he pushed, the more Leo seemed to enjoy himself.

"What the hell is wrong with you?! I only hugged you for the contract!"

Leo answered with another deep, satisfied rumble and licked the tip of Moon’s nose.

Moon shuddered.

’Heaven! This one is even worse than I thought.’

"Pffft!"

Suddenly, Xiao Hong burst into laughter.

She had been holding it in ever since Moon had awkwardly wrapped his arms around Leo’s neck.
