Chapter 150: Thoughtful boyfriend

Li Jun couldn’t hear this anymore, at least not now. He wasn’t ready to talk about it or give him an answer. He stretched out his hand and covered Yu Wen’s mouth. Yu Wen, who was pouring out his heart, was surprised.

"Don’t... You can tell me next time we meet," he said with a crack in his voice. He let go of him and caressed his cheek with a subtle smile.

Yu Wen didn’t want to stop talking the moment he started. The words were just gushing out of his mouth, as if the floodgates had been opened. He wanted to pledge his life to Li Jun and in every lifetime that followed, but this man didn’t want to hear it.

Who would have thought that when he finally confessed to someone he wouldn’t even get to finish? In the past, when others confessed to him, he would at least let them finish before rejecting them. Was this karma?

Yu Wen’s face visibly drooped. He looked so pitiful. It was so heartbreaking to watch. How could a mighty general who could crush interstellar pirates with little effort look like a sad lost puppy that needed rescuing?

Li Jun couldn’t stand it anymore. His fingers caressed his cheek down to his jaw before pinching his chin and making him meet his gaze. When he saw the glistening tears in those eyes, he was taken aback. Was this man about to cry?

"I am not rejecting you," he hurriedly said, his voice a little panicked. If anyone saw Yu Wen’s face, they would brand Li Jun a bully on the spot. For a man that size to be that upset, it must be that Li Jun had committed a grave sin.

He caressed his chin with his thumb while saying, "It’s just not the right time with everything going on. I promise the next time we meet you can tell me the rest, okay?" He leaned in and kissed his lips, the kiss fleeting and gentle.

Li Jun was reluctant to go, but he had to leave. He could only deal with this pair of mother and daughter later. For now, they needed to regroup and plan the way forward. He had wanted to delay by a few more hours, but his grandfather wouldn’t let him stay even an extra hour.

Draco even yelled through the phone that if anything happened to him, he would blow up Red Valkyrie, and from his tone, he was serious as fuck. Li Jun didn’t want Yu Wen to clash with Draco before they were even dating. There was bad blood between them already. He didn’t want it to get worse.

Li Jun and Yan Jia vanished from the base without anyone noticing. Three armored trucks were parked 18 miles northeast of the base. Yu Wen refused to send them to the pickup point alone. He wanted to escort Li Jun all the way and watch him leave before going back.

There was also another reason. He wanted to spend as much time as possible with him. He kept holding on to his hand the entire way. When he had the chance, he would hug him tightly. Just like now. They were standing under the hot sun with Yu Wen wrapping his arms around Li Jun’s waist, holding on tightly.

His forehead rested on Li Jun’s shoulder, and he was mumbling complaints like he had been wronged. He was acting spoilt, frightening his men who knew what he really was like. This side of Yu Wen frightened them half to death. It was the kind of thing one might get killed for witnessing. They sincerely hoped they wouldn’t get silenced after this.

Yan Jia, on the other hand, wished Princeton would get here already. She was tired of having dog food shoved down her throat. These two were quite insufferable. She could stand Li Jun. Yu Wen, on the other hand, was so clingy and acted out of character when he was around Li Jun. It was hard watching such a big man acting spoiled like right now.

Unlike Yan Jia, Li Jun was enjoying it. He was busy coaxing the man and whispering sweet nothings into his ear. Each time he said something that would make him blush, Yu Wen’s fingers would tighten their grip around his waist. It was a sight to behold.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t enjoy this moment for long because Li Jun’s ride appeared out of thin air. A stealth spacecraft landed a few feet from them, raising a cloud of dust. The amount of dust raised seemed intentional.

Yu Wen took off his jacket and covered Li Jun’s head. Li Jun’s eyes were suddenly covered in darkness. When he realized what had just happened, the corner of his lips curled. He grabbed Yu Wen’s collar and pulled him close while saying, "You are so thoughtful. You make a good boyfriend."

Yu Wen felt like his heart was over the moon hearing the man he loved compliment him. He pulled Li Jun closer, his movements sudden, and went under the jacket with him. "Really? Then why not make me your boyfriend? I will show you how much more thoughtful I can be?" he whispered, his large hand dangerously groping down Li Jun’s lower back to his ass. He shamelessly rubbed against him. He wasn’t hard, but he was clearly expressing his lust.

Li Jun, with a sly smirk, pressed the tip of his tongue on his cheek while looking into those eyes that were staring at him like he was prey. "If you play your cards right and end this war fast enough, I will reward you. I will be waiting for you naked on my bed to do whatever you please with me," he whispered before kissing the man’s lips.

A simple kiss turned passionate, the two of them disregarding where they were. Yu Wen even pressed Li Jun against the truck, his tongue all over Yu Wen’s mouth as though trying to quench his thirst.

The two of them would have continued too, if it weren’t for light flooding in the darkness. Their lips parted, and they glared at the culprit who had removed the jacket.
