The chamber sealed behind him with a low, final hum.

Selene did not waste time with words.

She crossed the space, caught the front of his coat, and pulled him into a kiss that carried no hesitation. Cold lips. Controlled hunger.

The clean bite of her affinity sank into his skin as if claiming the temperature of the room around them both.

Arthur answered without restraint, one hand sliding into her silver-white braid, the other gripping her waist and pulling her flush against him.

They broke apart only long enough to strip.

Training clothes hit the reinforced floor in a careless trail.

Selene’s body was pale and precise under the low crystal light—full breasts, narrow waist, the faint residual marks of earlier dual cultivation still ghosted across her hips.

Arthur’s hands mapped her with familiar ownership. She shivered once when his palms skated over her nipples, then again harder when he pinched.

"On the platform," she ordered, voice already rough.

He lifted her. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he carried her to the central training platform and laid her down. The stone was cold against her back.

She pulled him over her immediately, mouth finding his again, teeth scraping his lower lip. Arthur kissed down her throat, across her collarbone, and closed his mouth around one tight peak. Selene arched with a sharp inhale, fingers digging into his hair.

"Don’t tease," she said. "We don’t have the luxury of slow tonight."

He listened.

Arthur dragged her thighs wider, stroked two fingers through the slick heat already waiting for him, and pushed them inside. She was wet and ready.

The dual-cultivation bond between them flared at the contact, Eros mana rising in pink-gold currents that the Codex drank greedily. Selene’s hips rolled against his hand. He worked her open with firm, efficient strokes until she was panting and gripping his wrist.

Then he replaced his fingers with his cock and drove in to the hilt in one thrust.

Selene’s head fell back. A raw, unguarded sound tore from her throat. Her body clenched around him like it had been waiting for this exact pressure.

Arthur set a hard, deep rhythm from the first stroke—no gradual build, no careful testing. She met every thrust, heels digging into his back, nails raking down his shoulders hard enough to leave lines.

"Harder," she demanded.

He gave it to her.

The platform creaked under the force. Skin met skin with sharp, wet sounds that echoed off the warded walls. Selene’s breasts moved with every impact.

Her ice-blue eyes stayed locked on his, fever-bright and possessive. Frost began to form in delicate patterns across the stone beneath them, spreading outward in time with her pulse.

Arthur felt Frost Sovereign resonate in answer, mastery ticking upward in small, hungry increments as the bond deepened under the raw physical exchange.

Selene came first with a broken cry, body seizing around him, inner walls fluttering in tight waves. He fucked her through it without slowing, dragging the climax out until she was shaking and gasping curses against his mouth.

Only then did he let his own control fracture. He buried himself deep, gripped her hips hard enough to bruise, and spilled inside her with a low groan while the Codex pulsed hot against the edge of the platform.

They stayed locked together as the aftershocks faded.

Selene’s breath slowed first. She pushed his sweat-damp hair back from his forehead with surprising gentleness, then rested her fingers against his jaw and made him look at her.

"Now we talk," she said.

Arthur did not pretend not to understand.

"Iris."

"Yes." Selene’s voice stayed calm, but the temperature in the chamber dropped another degree. "I felt the third page seal. I felt the resonance. I am not asking for soft lies or careful omissions. Tell me the shape of it."

Arthur met her eyes directly.

"The print is permanent. Dreamweaver. The bond that created it is real. It started under life-or-death pressure in the dungeon and continued after. I’m not going to discard it, and I’m not going to hide it from you."

Silence stretched.

Selene’s expression did not crack into rage. What moved through her ice-blue eyes was colder and more complicated—possessiveness, calculation, a clear thread of jealousy she did not bother to disguise, and underneath it a hard, pragmatic acceptance.

"I disliked the idea the moment I sensed it," she said quietly. "I dislike it more hearing you confirm it without hesitation." Her fingers tightened a fraction on his jaw. "But I am not a girl who breaks useful things out of spite. You are not a resource I own exclusively. You are the man who pulled the last of the poison out of my pathways and gave me back control over my own Grimoire. That earns you honesty in return."

She shifted beneath him, still joined, and the small motion sent a residual spark of pleasure through both of them.

"My conditions are simple," Selene continued. "You do not hide her from me. You do not hide me from her. If the balance between the bonds becomes unstable enough to threaten your survival or mine, we address it directly. No secrets. No convenient silences. Clear?"

"Clear."

Selene searched his face for another long moment. Then she pulled him down into a slower, deeper kiss that carried less urgency and more claim. When she spoke again her lips moved against his.

"Good. Because I am not finished with you tonight."

She rolled them with practiced strength until she straddled him, hands braced on his chest. Her silver-white braid had come partly undone. Strands clung to her damp skin. She lifted her hips, adjusted the angle, and sank back down onto him with a low, satisfied sound.

"The frost control gaps I mentioned," she said, beginning to move in deliberate, rolling strokes. "We close them under pressure. Real pressure. You will maintain layered Frost Sovereign techniques while I take what I want from you. If your concentration breaks, we start the sequence again."

Arthur’s hands settled on her waist. "That’s not standard dual cultivation."

"No." A sharp, heated smile curved her mouth. "It is my version. Survive it."

She rode him harder.

Arthur forced Frost Sovereign to answer even as pleasure coiled tight at the base of his spine. Ice needles formed and held in the air around the platform.

A thin freezing layer coated the nearest wall. The dual demand—precision control and the relentless heat of Selene moving above him—turned the second round into something rawer and more demanding than the first.

Every time his focus wavered she tightened around him deliberately and reminded him of the terms with a look.

He held the techniques.

Barely.

When she came the second time the frost constructs shuddered but did not collapse. Arthur followed her over the edge with a rough sound, gripping her hips and thrusting up to meet her until the last pulse faded.

The ice needles dissolved into glittering dust. The layered frost on the wall held for three full seconds before cracking.

Selene looked down at the results, breathing hard, and gave a small, approving nod.

"Acceptable. Barely."

She stayed seated on him for another minute, fingers tracing idle patterns across his chest, expression thoughtful and still edged with that quiet possessive jealousy.

"She will want time with you before departure," Selene said eventually. "Give it to her. I will not pretend I enjoy the image... but I will not be the reason you walk into a random mission group carrying unresolved fractures. Finish what needs finishing. Then come back to me the night before you leave. I want the last claim before the matrix takes you."

Arthur brushed a strand of silver-white hair behind her ear.

"Understood."

Selene finally lifted off him and stood, retrieving her clothes with efficient motions. The professional mask began sliding back into place piece by piece, but the look she gave him as she fastened her coat was still personal and sharp.

"Five days, Arthur. Use them cleanly. I will not be the only one measuring what you do with them."

She left him in the cold chamber with the taste of her still on his mouth, the residual ache of hard use in his body, and the clear knowledge that the next conversation—with Iris—would not be simpler.

Outside, the academy lights burned against the night.

The clock on the mandatory missions continued to tick.
