Chapter 999: The Puppet Workstation
Chapter 999: The Puppet Workstation
[58 Days Before the Awakening]
“This is just too unbelievable.” Klaus was still in shock, learning that Asha’s legion was already this powerful. It was out of his expectation, for he never knew Asha would become this monstrous quickly.
As for Nadia, she merely stood there looking at the 12 cocoons still in the process of creating something monstrous.
She can already see 12 Death Agents causing havoc on the battlefield.
The offset that Asha manages to further raise the strength level of her legion before the awakening would surely make her not only unstoppable but a force that the heavens wouldn’t see coming.
“The best part about this is, in the future, if I have more material, I would be able to upgrade them. Aside from that, they are living beings now, so they can cultivate and increase their strength on their own.
Basically, one of these days, if all things go well, I can have thousands of immortal insect beast warriors under my command.” Asha smiled slightly, “Wouldn’t that be awesome?”
Klaus and Nadia couldn’t deny what Asha said.
“This is great, Asha. I am proud of you,” Klaus looked at her tenderly.
“For now, make a list of all their needs and give it to me. I will do my best to make it happen.” Asha nodded, and they started walking back to the legion of 30,000 beasts.
When they got close to them, Klaus used his superior sense to scan every last one of them, and what he saw made him lighten up.
Klaus turned to Asha, “You can bring Linx and Jinx with you for the exploration.” Asha nodded and walked toward her two best friends, who were already at the 5th-level Nether stage.
After a few more seconds, they left and went back to the real world.
“Now, it is time to meet my Puppet Legion, too.” Nadia smiled and opened the Puppet Shop, or as she prefers to call it, the Puppet Workstation.
Klaus and Asha entered the workstation.
“This place never ceases to amaze me,” Klaus said, looking at the futuristic design inside the workstation.
The land is covered in a diamond-like material with the main workstation built using a rare wood found only in worlds that had awakened several thousands of years ago; the Moon Light Death wood.
It was believed that this type of wood originated from the underworld, where death is the vital focus of energy that many cultivate.
It holds some nature of death, and so when at the Death stage in one’s cultivation journey, they tend to cultivate inside buildings made using the Moon Light Death wood.
The entire area outside the main workstation has many buildings meant for the puppets that have demon spirits in them. However, as they walked toward the main workstation, Klaus couldn’t help but wonder where all her possessed puppets were.
As if reading his mind, Nadia smiled and spoke, “All my puppets are inside the main workstation training.”
“I thought as much,” Klaus replied, looking around even more.
“This place has changed greatly since the last time I was here,” Klaus said, and Nadia nodded.
“You were here when I was merely at the Ascendant stage. Now I am at the Ascension stage, and while you already know this, whenever I level up, even if it’s just one level, changes happen here.
Now, I have not only reached three stages since your last visit, but this place has also undergone three major changes and 27 minor changes.
In fact, after showing you all I have, I am sure you will make me the Supreme General in the upcoming battle against the heavens.”
This time too, Asha and Klaus raised their brow, looking at the smug look on Nadia’s face.
“You two ladies seem to want to take all the spotlights from me. I was supposed to be the dangerous one here, but now, it seems things aren’t going in my favour,” Klaus laughed.
Although his lady’s strength is his, he knew the more strength they have, the more danger they will be in. He didn’t want to see them hurt, but as it stands, he can only support them and do his best in his own way to protect every last one of them.
“Why don’t you show us where all this confidence is coming from?”
Nadia nodded with a smile.
A few minutes later, they entered the workstation using a door that acted as a portal. Klaus speculated that if Nadia didn’t grant permission, even if they managed to enter the puppet shop, they wouldn’t be able to enter the workstation.
They appeared on a glass floor overlooking a large training ground where exactly 68 puppets were training.
When Klaus’s eyes landed on them, his expression turned from calm to shocked.
“How…” he asked, immediately looking at Nadia.
“Let me show you.” Nadia waved her hand, and the glass floor twisted. The next second, they were standing before a dark door.
Nadia formed a hand seal, and the door opened, allowing them to enter. At first, Klaus expected to see a room housing something, but they merely entered a strange kind of lift that seemed to be taking them down instead of upward.
This wasn’t strange considering there was nothing upward to go to.
“When I first reached the Chaos stage, this place appeared just like how the Puppet Storage appeared when I reached the Ascendant stage.
This place, on the other hand, is called Demon Spirit Storage. It has the same use as the Puppet Storage, only that this place stores demon spirits.”
“Wait, what?” Klaus looked at Nadia, and for a moment, he allowed his mind to wander elsewhere. He wondered what all this meant, and for a moment, his body shuddered.
“Are you saying the 68 puppets out there came about thanks to the demon spirits inside this storage?”
“That’s exactly what I am saying. Honestly, I don’t know how this was even possible, but when this place appeared after I reached the Chaos stage, I saw a note that read, ‘Defying the heavens to save lives.’ I didn’t know who left it, but I now have a fair idea, and I think you do too.”
Klaus nodded, knowing it had something to do with her past self. All his women had past lives. Asha benefited from her past self, allowing her to create 12 Death Agents and modify her 30,000 insect legion into terrifying warriors.
“So how many demon spirits do you have?”
Right when Klaus asked the question, they arrived at the first level of the Demon Spirit Storage.
“This is the first level. At first, I thought this was the only level. However, I discovered that it was merely the first level, where only Bronze grade demon spirits are kept.”
Nadia waved her hand, and the first level lit up, illuminating the entire space. Klaus’s brow furrowed when he saw over a hundred tube chambers emitting green lights.
Looking closely, he saw that 68 had silver light in them. He deduced that they were empty, considering he already saw 68 puppets on their way here.
“I need further explanation, Nadia. You said this floor houses Bronze-grade demon spirits. What does that even mean?”
Nadia smiled, seeing the interest in Klaus’s eyes. Not only Klaus, but even Asha wanted to know more about these demon spirits.
