Chapter 1390: Day Of The Duel

The interview ended with Klaus making everyone aware of where he stands.

He made sure they all knew he was not someone who would bow to anyone just because of their reputation. The Warrior Tower rejected him, so he made it clear that in the future, he would not accept any offer from them, even if they came begging.

He also made sure he revealed the kind of person he is. He will be facing someone whose motive is to prove to the entire universe that the renegade hunter is a nobody and that the fame he has now is not worthy of him.

Their motive is clear, and Rouni would be the one to do their dirty work for them. However, despite knowing all that, Klaus made it clear that if he and Rouni ever had to team up to fight for a common cause, he would not object.

Then he made everyone aware that his background is both mysterious and powerful enough to stand up to a family with two Supremes and four gods.

Perhaps that was the biggest shock of the interview. He said nothing about where he is from and which family he came from, but his words alone shows he is no simple person.

This reveal had rattled many in the Warrior Tower, Mission Hall, and even the Heaven’s Court. They all could not help but wonder if Klaus is a member of one of those Primordial Families.

In the universe, there are many ranks of families. The strongest and most mysterious of them are the Primordial Families. They mostly call them the First Families.

They are well hidden and, over the years, have produced some of the greatest warriors the universe has ever seen.

Now that many knew Klaus had a backing, they all could not help but wonder if he was indeed from one of the Primordial Families.

If he indeed came from such a family, then there is a chance he would one day reveal that. But until everyone becomes aware that he is not from such a family, nobody would go to the extreme of using their family to suppress him.

It is just too dangerous to even entertain such a thought.

Nobody is ready to go against a Primordial Family even if it hasn’t been confirmed.

The interview ended with him showing how shameless he is. Requesting 40 billion Heaven Crystals from Blood Shadow as compensation for sustaining mental and physical injuries was just too shameless.

However, he had shown he could be the bigger person.

He promised he would come after Blood Shadow one day, after she attacked him when he killed her assassins.

However, if he can cash out big time from her, then why not? Pardoning her by taking 40 billion is, in a way, okay, all things considered.

He had already started making enemies far more dangerous than Blood Shadow, so her money would go a long way in preparing for what was to come in the future.

In the end, he wanted everyone to tune in and watch the battle. Once that is over, they can judge for themselves and see if he indeed has the right to be offered a Unique role in both the Warrior Tower and the Mission Hall.

After he left the Blue Ivy Studio, he went straight back to the mansion to meet the Paragon Star Guards.

He wanted them to handle some stuff for him, so he met with them. After that, he returned to the real world.

Rory was not back when his consciousness returned to the real world. Klaus is aware that she needs to have a conversation with her father about what he offered her.

His Star Monarch bloodline had become even more powerful now that he had reached the Immortal Stage.

If he were to use it on her, there is a great chance she would become even more powerful than her father.

Of course, he will give it to Lord Victor, too, but he wants Rory to break free from the heavens first before their mission four months away.

Since she is not back with a decision yet, Klaus sat and started meditating. In no time, the day for the duel came.

Klaus opened his eyes after his communicator started chiming. He looked at the caller, and it was none other than Lord Flux.

"Lord Flux, how can I be of assistance?"

"The battle is two hours away, so I was calling to inform you to prepare. When it is 10 minutes to time, you should enter the Dark Space and arrive at the venue using the Dark Key.

I will be waiting for you at the drop point."

"I will do just that, Lord Flux."

He nodded and hung up. Klaus stood up and headed toward his room. He wanted to freshen up and change into a new set of normal clothing.

Although he had already confirmed that his living armor can activate inside the Dark Space, wearing normal clothes can go a long way.

Most of the time, he never gets to wear the things he wants because he is moving from one battle to another. Also, now that he has four bodies out there, he needs to share the living armor among them.

So getting familiar with normal clothes is fine.

This way, he would not have to depend on the living armor all the time. After he finished bathing and changed into a new pair of clothes, he returned to the garden.

Rory was still not back, so he entered the Dark Space to spend some time with the Paragon Star Guards.

This way, when the time was drawing near, he would quickly make his way to the Heaven Arena.

All over the universe, countless people began tuning in to the media channels that had been granted permission to stream the match.

Everybody wanted to see how someone like Klaus would defeat a renowned warrior like Rouni. His exploits are legendary.

He had killed many foreign race warriors over the years, to the point that, if anything, he should have long entered the Top 10 Grandmaster-level Foreign Battlefield Chart.

However, now that he has done so, and given the vast gap between him and the 11th, it shows he is indeed a powerful warrior.

Such a warrior is not someone to underestimate.

But Klaus has also proven to the entire universe that he is not simply a Hunter. He had faced an Immortal Lord, and he walked out smiling.

So this battle will be an exciting one.

They are calling it the Battle Between a Warrior and a Hunter.

Basically, on the web now, billions from the Warrior Tower and Mission Hall are clashing over who is going to win.

Without Klaus even knowing, he had become the tool the Mission Hall is depending on to clear the long-standing feud between them and the Warrior Tower.

The Warrior Tower had always claimed that they were the true warriors. They look down on the Hunters, and so for years, they had been clashing over the smallest things.

Now, it seems they can come to a conclusion depending on the outcome of the battle ahead of them. If Klaus wins, the Mission Hall will have an upper hand to brag, and vice versa.

The only saving grace here is that Rouni is no simple warrior, so Klaus would have a battle to remember. But aside from that, Klaus is prepared to use this chance to cement his name in the hearts of the masses.

He is the renegade Hunter, and tonight, he will prove it.
