Anastasha walked in the long hallway and she could feel the presence of the old men and women behind her. Seeing them walk so casually inside the Heavenly God’s palace, she assumed they were the elders of the Demonic Cult. She realized how nobody was showing any hostility or even a slight suspicion, it only made her realize she was truly walking straight into someone’s palm.

Nian stood in front of the giant door, the door that reached all the way to the high ceiling of the palace. It was a bit too excessive, but her thoughts were disrupted when the door began to open, slowly, pulling in the air from the hallway into the room behind the door. From that alone, she knew the room was sealed from the outside world and from the rest of the palace’s areas.

Anastasha stared at the long throne room, the black marble floors, black marble pillars, black marble walls, black marble steps, red carpets, and red curtains that separated the throne from the rest of the room. She could see the silhouette of a person sitting on the throne because of the torch on each side of the throne. She could see the person in a relaxed position, the cheek rested on the fist and the elbow rested on the armrest with the legs crossed.

"My Lord, I have brought Princess Anastasha Asghar as you have commanded," Nian spoke as he knelt.

Anastasha glanced over her shoulder and watched the elders knelt and bowed their heads. She looked around the room, sensing the same atmosphere and tension when she entered her mother’s chamber. She knew that the Evil Gods were there in the room with them, but she couldn’t spot them.

"All of you may leave," the Heavenly God spoke, his voice echoed throughout the room.

Anastasha glanced and watched everyone leave, leaving her alone in the room with the person who could help her achieve what she wanted. She stood there, staring at the silhouette without making any noise or expression. When she saw the figure standing up from the throne, her eyes narrowed slightly, but when she saw the figure reach out to the curtain, her brows furrowed.

The Heavenly God revealed himself in a black satin robe with red symbols embroidered on the left sleeve, a bare chest that revealed his pale skin, and slick-back black hair that emphasized his sharp jawline, eyes, and nose. His eyes were red like blood with small pupils, making him look stunningly handsome. However, Anastasha stood there and stared at him without making any reaction.

"To think the Heavenly God looks this young. Or perhaps you’re an old man who has learned an art to preserve your youth," Anastasha spoke, noticing how tall the man was.

"I’m not," the Heavenly God answered in a deep and gentle voice. "I’m only a year older than you are, Princess," he answered as he walked down the steps. He never blinked his eyes, and his gaze was fixated on her.

"And why should I believe that?" Anastasha asked with a straight face.

"Because I have no reason to," the Heavenly God answered as he approached Anastasha. "And I have no reason to lie to you either," he continued.

"You sound like someone who’s desperate," Anastasha tilted her head to the side slightly.

"And even if I am, do you even believe that?" The Heavenly God asked and finally stopped right in front of Anastasha, showing the height difference. "Because I have been waiting for you all my life. No, to be exact, my life and the lives of my ancestors," he continued, staring into Anastasha’s green eyes with his gentle gaze.

"Waiting for me? For wh-" Before Anastasha could finish her question, she saw the Heavenly God’s right hand reach out to her.

"May I?" The Heavenly God, requesting her hand.

Anastasha was disturbed by the way the Heavenly God behaved, it was both eerie and uncomfortable even for her. She had seen people who had desire, greed, and lust over her, but not in this calm and collected manner. It almost felt like she was staring at Rasmus, but didn’t shy away from expressing himself that almost sounded impulsive.

"No, you may not," Anastasha answered.

The Heavenly Demon lowered his head with understanding and slowly let his hand fall to his side.

"You said you were waiting for me, for what exactly?" Anastasha asked and stared at the man who didn’t move a single muscle on his face except for his mouth.

"To make an heir, with me," the Heavenly God answered without hesitation.

Anastasha blinked once, twice, and a few times before she finally leaned her head back with her brows furrowed. She had never been speechless, not in this kind of speechless way. She was stunned by the boldness and the directness of the Heavenly God.

At the same time, inside the carriage, Serena was bursting out laughing at the absurdity when Rasmus told them what was happening in there through Rullein’s eyes and ears. Aris on the other hand, she looked confused as to why Rasmus was smiling and why Serena laughed that hard. The reason why she couldn’t understand why those two found it funny was because she was similar to the Heavenly God in his directness.

"Oh, wow... I cried..." Serena chuckled as she brushed off the tear in her eye. "That was unexpected," she sighed and let a few chuckles before she leaned back and closed her eyes.

Anastasha stood there, still stunned by the revelation. She cleared her throat and tried to recover her composure when the Heavenly God was standing there like nothing happened.

"And you want an heir, because?" Anastasha asked with her brows furrowed.

"Because I have two of the Evil Gods’ bloods running through my veins. "I want my children to have your bloodline, the bloodline of the last Evil God," the Heavenly God answered without hiding a single truth.

"Okay, and if I don’t want to?" Anastasha asked again, this time with a serious expression.

"Why not?" The Heavenly God slowly tilted his head, and his voice sounded genuinely confused.

Anastasha closed her eyes, trying so hard to keep her composure.

"It’s a theoritical question," Anastasha answered as she opened her eyes, and still saw the genuine confusion in Heavenly God’s eyes.

"Then I would ask if there was a way to change your mind on that," the Heavenly God answered. "Is there anything you want that can make you change your mind on that matter?" He asked.

Anastasha stared into Heavenly God’s eyes and realized he was being serious. It was baffling to see someone that looked and sounded so innocent, but at the same time she could sense something dangerous behind the existence of the Heavenly God. She wondered if she could push even further because she couldn’t understand the man in front of her at all.

"If I asked you to wage war against the Heavenly Alliance and the clans of the empire, would you do it? Not only that, if I asked you to turn your back against the imperial family, the whole empire, would you do that?" Anastasha asked.

"Is that all?" The Heavenly God asked back. "If that’s all, then yes, I would as long as we can have heirs together," he nodded.

"Wait, hold on a moment..." Anastasha lifted her right hand and shook her head. "You understand what that means? Many of your people will die, and your life might even lose in the process. Are you sure that you can grant me those things?" She asked.

"Yes, I do," the Heavenly God nodded. "I don’t care about them all, and I know I’ll survive, and that’s what matter," he continued.

Anastasha began to feel unsettled by Heavenly God’s personality and as a person. He was utterly self-centered, who cared nothing but for himself and what he desired without caring for those around him. She realized why they called their leader as God because they weren’t his responsibility, they were his loyal devotees that didn’t matter in his eyes, and they already accepted that. The person that she was talking to was the embodiment of delusion itself, who had taught and learned that no lives or reality mattered other than their own lives and their own reality.

"God complex..." Rasmus and Serena muttered at the same time.

Rasmus and Serena shared a look, noticing how they concluded the Heavenly God’s personality at the same time.
