The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1215: Levels of Chaos Phantom

Hearing the news, Rex and the assault team rushed back to the city.

As he crossed the street, while mounting Delta—he could sense the air of unease around the people. But in his presence, the people were instantly elevated from their worries. All of them knew their Emperor would address the matters.

Being able to defeat and slay the Fifthborn, the people had full trust in Rex’s ability.

Nothing would be able to deter him from keeping the city safe.

A Chaos spawn? Is it because of the Chaos Inbrid’s head from earlier?

Coursing through the street with the peculiar hospital as his destination—Rex could not help but wonder, whether it was the fault of the Chaos Inbrid from earlier. But, as the System told him to do then, he already destroyed any trace of it.

Because of that, Rex doubted this was caused by the Choas Inbrid.

But if not that, then what caused this…?

Eventually, Rex arrived at the hospital and found the situation was quite problematic.

Sweeping his eyes to the tents outside of the hospital building—scanning the people through the System—Rex could see that about a dozen of the people here were corrupted. Moreover, he could also feel the same energy he felt in the Colosseum, it was certainly chaos energy.

Not the one the Fifthborn used, this one is the pure version.

Greeting him there was Linthia, she seemed to be wounded but still came to greet him.

“Escort the ones who are not sick away from the hospital, and make a perimeter outside, the people shouldn’t be near this place at all,” Rex commanded with a stern voice, he heard from Kyran earlier that the chaos spawn was quite strong so this needs to be addressed.

Upon hearing this, Linthia nodded and went to the side to address the guards.

“A patient caused this, an Orc from what I heard,” Kyran said from the back.

Rex raised an eyebrow in confusion, “An Orc…?”

Currently, Dargena City only hosts Elves, Dryads, and Fairies from the initial establishment.

If Naela was taken into account, then the city also hosts one Dark Elf.

Even though it was still at the early stage—Rex heard whispers, and talks from nobilities, that they wanted to relocate some of their people to Dargena City. All for the sake of sharing their cultures and strengthening the bond, between kingdoms.

But mostly, the real aim was to learn directly from Rex or the Silverstar Pack.

An Orc shouldn’t be here, so he was confused by that.

“Stay out of the hospital, I’ll go in myself,” Rex instructed as he stepped inside.

He didn’t want to waste time as the corruption might spread faster than he anticipated.

“I will head back to the castle to check on Adhara,” Gistella said to Kyran and left with Delta.

For all Gistella knows, Adhara might still be training right now.

“Okay, you do that,” Kyran nodded before his gaze slowly shifted to Linthia, commanding the guards on the side, but she seemed oddly stiff. Her weirdness, might escaped Rex’s eyes, as his mind was occupied, but not Kyran.

“Bring three groups of four and create a perimeter of about a kilometer in radius from here”

“Yes, Captain!”

As soon as she said that, the guards made pairs of themselves and rushed away.

Before Linthia could go inside the hospital grounds—and help evacuate the healthy people, her body completely tensed, when she heard a voice, addressing her, “It must’ve been hard for you lately, Captain Linthia”

Upon hearing this, Linthia slowly turned and saw Kyran was the one who said that.

“I- I’m sorry, lord?” She asked, uncertain of what he was saying.

“I mean…” Kyran said, approaching her leisurely and subtly circling her before casting a sharp sidelong glance at Linthia. “Gelmar and Dindora are out handling matters with the Humans so it must’ve been tough for you to manage the city alone as the only captain left behind”

Even though the words coming out of Kyran’s mouth seemed considerate, they were not.

Linthia knew that he was being sarcastic, and she feared where this talk was going.

Her fear was evident as beads of cold sweat drizzled the side of her face.

“Not to mention, out of the three captains, you are the one, who was not sent out to help in a more important matter. The Emperor must’ve looked at you less favorably now as you are the only one who did not evolve,” Kyran continued, not minding the people around. “If I were you, I would find another way to contribute. Perhaps, you already thought about that,”

As this continued, Linthia was pinching her index fingertip, turning it white.

She was fidgeting to ease her heightening nervousness.

“No, it’s not tough at all,” Linthia replied before she turned. “If you’ll excuse me, I need to go”

Just as she was about to leave, Kyran suddenly stepped in front of her.

Linthia gasped, and even though Kyran was looking directly at her—her gaze stayed down.

Despite both of their height being about the same, she didn’t make eye contact.

“I could sense your fear when I mentioned the Orc to the Emperor before,” Kyran said sternly, his voice—deep with demand. “I know you have something to do with the Orc being here. So, what did you do, Captain Linthia? Best for you to spill it out now rather than later”

Upon hearing this, Linthia gulped harshly, she was read like an open book.

Stealing glances at Kyran’s eyes, she eventually bit her lower lip.

Meanwhile, inside the hospital.

Rex was escorted instantly to where the incident took place by Dray, Sir Daniel’s son.

Surprisingly, the incident happened underground.

He walked through the white hallway and could smell the scent of blood lingering in the air.

Responding to the situation quickly, the hospital head created this place.

“I can’t really blame him for not reporting this incident—there are countless patients from the war corrupted by Chaos,” Rex mused out loud, shaking his head. “Since the Fifthborn’s chaos energy was strong too, lots of people got influenced by it”

Despite the severity of the situation, Rex couldn’t blame the hospital head for doing this.

He couldn’t the hospital head for preparing the place instead of reporting this incident.

Most of the patients from the war, who got corrupted by chaos energy were now cured, they only needed some rest and proper meditation to dispel the chaos energy inside of them. Due to that, the hospital head might think of this as a normal corruption incident.

A more extreme one, but nevertheless, it would eventually come to pass.

Not once did the hospital head would think that it would end up extremely bad like this.

“It happened here,” Dray said politely as he opened the door. “A lot of portals appeared when the Orc’s condition was becoming worse, but only one remains unclosed. It was that portal—and it was also the portal where the Chaos spawn came out from”

Entering the room, the other guards kneel in Rex’s presence.

Rex ignored them and went straight to the purple dimensional crack in the corner.

As expected—it looked exactly the same as the ones that were opened at the Colosseum.

Knowing how dangerous the portal could be—Dray already had his hand on the handle of his sword, ready to strike if another creature came out of the portal. On the other hand, Rex was inspecting the dimensional crack attentively.

It’s not bigger than the ones I saw, but I think this one is much denser.

<Notice: the user is exposed to a highly concentrated pure Chaos energy>

<Be advised! Prolonged exposure might lead to side effects!>

Upon seeing this, Rex pulled away out of instinct as he might get corrupted too.

Even the Countess got corrupted, so he was not arrogant enough to think he was immune.

Just then, however, Rex’s eyes widened in realization.

Back then, this one is the same as back then.

Remembering the moment, when the Fifthborn’s last spell was activated, pulling Edward, into the realm of chaos—Rex remembered that the sensation of the portal back then and this one was entirely familiar, or should he say, getting closely familiar.

At that moment, his eyes glistened as he scanned the purple dimensional crack.

<Minor Chaos Phantom>

Description: A phenomenon that appeared—when the dimensional fabric of the mortal world was torn—creating a portal to the realm of the energy—that tore the dimension. It is a portal that leads to the realm of chaos. It’s still in the adolescent stage of completion.

Upon reading the notification, Rex frowned.

Just as he expected, this portal was different from the portals he encountered earlier.

Back then, when he scanned it, with the System before they faded away—it was called, Void Chaos Phantom, not Minor Chaos Phantom. Of course, this was a clue that these two portals were different from each other.

System, what’s the difference between Void Chaos Phantom and Minor Chaos Phantom?

<Does the user want to purchase the knowledge for 20 million gold?>

20 million…? Fine, go ahead, I need to know.

Regardless of the surprising cost of the knowledge, Rex decided to go through with it.

He needs to know as this might give him leads to the Fourthborn. Sёarch* The Nôvel(F)ire.nёt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

If I had to guess, the Fifthborn must’ve used his last strength to create a smooth path for the Fourthborn to come, and take vengeance. Even though I don’t think he did that—considering that he disliked the other Executors, somehow this happened, so it must’ve been him.

<Void Chaos Phantom is a void portal while the Minor Chaos Phantom is an active one>

<Due to insufficient energy, supplying the dimensional crack—the product of that situation is the Void Chaos Phantom—and both connected realms, could only peer at one another. As for the Minor Chaos Phantom, it has a sufficient energy supply to make it active and beings from both realms go through it>

Upon reading the notifications, Rex’s eyes flashed in realization.

So simply put, chaos beings could step into my world through the Minor Chaos Phantom?

<Yes, and the user could also step into their world>

Rex couldn’t help but frown when he knew the answer—the outburst of chaos from the Orc somehow generated enough energy to create a Minor Chaos Phantom—instead of the Void Chaos Phantom.

He still didn’t know how the Orc did that, but he will find out.

Naturally, since it was an outburst, the chaos portals would soon be closed.

Judging from the description, the chaos portal needs constant energy to stay open.

Is the Fourthborn stuck inside the realm of chaos?

As the last words of the Fifthborn echoed in his mind—certain that his brothers would come and take vengeance, Rex came to this logical conclusion. He could assume, that if there is a Minor Chaos Phantom, then there should be a Major Chaos Phantom or even higher ones.

For now, Rex could assume that the Fourthborn was trying to make an accessible portal.

One that is big enough to allow it to pass through.

But that was still an assumption that needed further poof, for now, precaution is a must.

“Vacate the entire hospital, only regularly check if this portal is closed,” Rex said, turning his head towards Dray. “What about the Orc? Where is the Orc—right now? I need to determine whether the Orc would have another outburst again”

“He’s upstairs, I can lead the way,” Dray replied and went ahead, leaving the room.

Of course, the other Awakened also came out as instructed.

“Prof. K and Lady Giana are doing tests on the chaos spawn that came out of the portal, do you also want to take a look at it—Your Majesty?” Dray asked—and also informed about the chaos spawn’s carcass.

Upon hearing this, Rex shook his head, “No, bring me to the Orc first,”

Nodding his head, Dray led ahead.

On the other hand, Rex prepared his move in his head.

System, analyze the shop, and find me a measuring device for chaos energy level.

Make sure that it’s precise, I will not get caught off guard like this again.
