On his way, Qin Ya encountered a wide variety of prisoners. Their Cultivation levels might not have been exceptional, but their value was far greater than that of the other inmates in the Ghost Prison. They held secrets, so they couldn’t be killed rashly. However, when faced with the Prison Guards’ torture, these people showed no fear. Some even jeered and cursed. Every last one of them was a tough nut to crack.

It was these very people who gave many Prison Guards, and even the Mansion Master, endless headaches.

After emerging from the depths of the Ghost Prison, Qin Ya seemed to be lost in thought. ‘Martial Artists who hold secrets… the Supervision Mansion’s troubles? Perhaps… I can do something about this.’

The days that followed fell into an orderly routine.

Each day, he would choose an opponent from the Ghost Prison to act as his training partner, then return to Jia Prison to work on concocting some kind of theoretical Elixir. Time flowed on, and half a month went by.

Within the Ghost Prison…

A prisoner was dragged in and thrown into a cell.

The others were already used to the sight and merely let out a soft sigh.

‘Kill that kid and you can walk free? What a fucking joke! That boy is utterly terrifying. He’s a King by Cultivation, but his combat power is completely Heaven-Defying!’

Out in the world, every single one of them was a renowned, top-tier expert. But every time they fought Qin Ya, they were beaten like stray dogs.

At this point, they had long since lost any shred of hope.

They even found themselves reminiscing about how wonderful the old days had been. At least back then, they could just stay in their cells, not like now, living in constant fear that Qin Ya would pick them, drag them out, and give them a savage beating. This life was unbearably bitter.

“Sigh, when will these days ever end?”

“Damn it, and I thought this was some kind of good opportunity. Turns out it’s just a new way to torture us, finding a guy like him to duel every day. If he were a Half-Venerable or someone at that level, it would be one thing. But he’s a damn King! Not only do we get beaten like dogs, but getting defeated by a King… it’s just plain humiliating.”

“Yeah, where do you even find a King like that?”

“Whatever. I just hope this ends soon.”

While the prisoners suffered immensely, Qin Ya was thriving on it.

The prisoners in the Ghost Prison were extremely powerful. Although he could win, he had to go nearly all-out to do so. During this period, his strength advanced by leaps and bounds.

With the aid of a large number of Elixirs, his combat power was now much stronger than when he had first entered the Supervision Mansion. Although his comprehension of the Mysterious was still at the True Intent Level, he could already sense the bottleneck. A breakthrough was not far off.

If he were to face Yann Sheng now, he was confident he could defeat him within twenty exchanges. If word of such progress got out, it would likely leave a great many people speechless.

“Not bad, not bad.”

In a luxurious cell within the Supervision Mansion’s Jia Prison, the Void Saint gazed at Qin Ya and smiled faintly. “Your progress during this time has been remarkably Fast. To have grasped an advanced version of Shrinking Inches through your own comprehension is truly astonishing.”

Hearing this, Qin Ya was taken aback. “An advanced version?”

“Oh? You haven’t noticed?”

Qin Ya pondered for a moment. It was true that when he used Shrinking Inches recently, it felt different than before. He could almost ignore the limitations of distance, and his speed was unimaginably Fast. This was a major contributor to his current combat power.

“Shrinking Inches is a technique for shortening distance, condensing ten or even a hundred steps into a single stride. Mastered to its peak, one step could carry you across vast landscapes. But no matter what, that step still covers a distance. Above it, there is another of the Space Skills, one that transcends the limits of distance. It is called… Instant Teleportation!”

“Instant Teleportation?!” Qin Ya’s eyes narrowed. Just from the name alone, he already had an inkling of what it was. ‘If it’s really what I think it is, then this is an incredibly terrifying ability. The role it could play in battle would be immense.’

“Correct. Instant Teleportation. As its name implies, it is instantaneous movement. This is a Mysterious Technique that transcends the limitations of spatial distance. Once you learn it, it signifies that your comprehension of Space Mysteries has reached a certain level,” the Void Saint said with a faint smile. He then pointed a finger, and a silver-white Flowing Light shot into Qin Ya’s mind.

RUMBLE…

As if a clap of heavenly thunder had exploded, a deluge of information flooded into Qin Ya’s mind.

Qin Ya immediately sat down cross-legged and began to comprehend this new information. Within his Divine Acupoint, the Void Sacred Seal erupted with boundless light, aiding his efforts.

Time flowed on. Seven days passed in the blink of an eye as he comprehended the Instant Teleportation Profound Technique.

During these seven days, the prisoners of the Ghost Prison were overjoyed. A joyous atmosphere filled the cells, an emotion one would never expect to find among these inmates.

“Haha, this is great! That kid finally stopped coming.”

“Seven days. It’s been seven whole days since he last came. It seems he’s finally given up on us and won’t be tormenting us anymore. This is truly a joyous occasion!”

“These have been the most comfortable seven days of my life. No seeing that kid’s face, no constant anxiety… I can sleep whenever I want. It’s so liberating.”

The prisoners chatted amongst themselves, their words filled with excitement.

Some even started whistling. It felt as if spring had finally arrived in the oppressive cells, which now seemed vibrant with life. Even the damp air felt a little fresher.

CREAK… CREAK…

But just then, the great door to the Ghost Prison was heard creaking slowly open, and a young man walked inside.

The joyous atmosphere instantly froze, turning gloomy once more.

‘No way. It can’t be.’

‘That demon actually came back. Did we celebrate too soon?’

Qin Ya looked at the prisoners. Seeing them all gaping at him, dumbstruck, the corner of his mouth curled into a slight smile. “Everyone,” he said, “long time no see.”

‘Damn it!’

‘We’d rather not see you at all,’ the prisoners cursed inwardly.

“Young Master, you were gone for so long, I thought you weren’t coming back.”

“Yes, yes! Young Master, our strength is no match for yours. There’s no point in you fighting us, so why don’t you stop making things difficult for us?”

“That’s right! My injuries still haven’t healed from last time.”

Just then, a prisoner who had yet to face Qin Ya snorted coldly. His tone was full of disdain as he said, “And you all call yourselves infamous criminals? Turns out you’re nothing special, scared into this pathetic state by a teenage King.”

As soon as he spoke, the other prisoners immediately shot him displeased looks.

‘Damn it!’ the others thought. ‘We’ve all been tortured, and you, who’ve had it easy, aren’t just ungrateful, you’re running your mouth!’ But then, they glanced at Qin Ya, and a mischievous glint appeared in their eyes. One of them turned to Qin Ya and said, “Young Master, this man is one of the few true masters in the Ghost Prison. His strength is so immense, I could never hope to match him.”

Hearing this, the loudmouthed prisoner immediately puffed out his chest with a look of arrogance. “Hmph, you sorry lot want to compare yourselves to me? Dream on. I could crush any one of you with a single hand.”

At these words, the others looked at him with eyes full of pity.

‘To act so arrogant in front of this kid… Sigh. May you go peacefully.’

Sure enough, a glint flashed in Qin Ya’s eyes. He smiled faintly and said, “Then I choose you. The rule is the same as always: kill me, and you can walk out of this Ghost Prison.”

Hearing this, the other prisoners couldn’t help but shudder.

‘Kill him and leave the Ghost Prison?’

They remembered how that very sentence had lured them into this nightmare.
