Chapter 285 - Speed
Considering Evan's physical stats and Ghost Step. His speed was already incredible, but after receiving the power from Prince Seere, this parameter went to a new level.
Some members of the Tear of Light didn't even see Evan's movements, all they could do was somehow try to defend themselves. Moreover, Evan would wave his hand every few seconds, and Death Feathers Fan would unleash dozens of explosive feathers on the light mages.
The members of the Tears of Light didn't know what to do. In less than fifteen seconds, Evan had already killed three mages and seriously wounded several.
At that moment, Sara said loudly, "Hey, have you called for backup yet? This guy needs to be killed here and now."
Sara still couldn't fight. She needed some time to recover. Moreover, she could no longer heal or protect anyone. She just didn't have the mana. She barely had time to notice Evan's movements, lest she put her neck under his scythe.
One of the Tears of Light members quickly replied, "No, but you don't have to. As far as I know, there's someone else to come here. This mage has never let us down."
"What? Who else needs to come here? Aren't sixteen people enough to handle the Meteorite Golems and take the Meteorite Glass?" Sara didn't understand the reason someone else from the Tear of Light had to come here.
"Without this persona, we will spend too much time killing these Meteorite Golems. It would take incredible power to break through their protective covering. If Evan Lynch hadn't shown up, we would have had to prepare for the attack and wait for that person. But given how much time has passed, our ally should be coming soon." The man replied.
"How strong is this mage?" Sara asked.
"Enough, you should only know that this mage has never failed a task given to him and has never broken any rules. As you know, there are so many strict rules in the Tears of Light, this mage is a true role model." With a little pride in his voice, the man said.
Sara asked no more questions and focused on Evan. Even if the backup was on the way, they were not to relax.
Whoooosh.
Evan plunged a red-hot blade into one of the mages and burned him alive. Evan already had four kills to his credit.
<This power is really amazing, but I get tired very quickly. I need to kill as many people as possible, then put Reykar in the front line. That way, I get some rest.>
The demon took five years of Evan's life and gave him power, and that was the end of their deal. But, moving so fast, even for a short time, was too detrimental to Evan's stamina. It seemed to him that every step he took could be compared to a jerk of a hundred meters. He could feel his legs gradually beginning to ache.
Whooosh.
Evan's Crimson Warp spun, and a purple magic circle appeared in front of his palm. The next moment a purple sphere formed in the center of the magic circle, and a massive beam shot toward the light mages. Evan cast - One-Eyed Raven's Beam.
After this spell became the second level, it became much stronger. The beam got a little bigger, and the energy in it became denser. But, the most interesting thing happened after increasing Awareness to level two.
Before, several sharp feathers appeared around the beam, piercing its victim through and through. But Evan couldn't control them. Now the situation was slightly different.
There were fewer feathers, and now only three feathers appeared around the beam. But, they accelerated so fast that they turned into a semblance of a beam after a second. What's more, Evan could control them to some extent, not completely, but he could change direction by a few degrees.
So the massive beam flew toward one Amplifier and three sharp feathers at the three Summoners behind him.
Booom.
Reykar also decided to help Evan and additionally shot his beam at these Summoners. Amplifier in front of Evan was armed with a shield and a sword. He tried to defend against the beam flying in his direction.
His shield was 3-star quality and could withstand most second level spells without any damage. But when One-Eyed Raven's Beam reached the shield, there were many cracks in it.
"What the!" Shouted the man looking at the crumbling shield.
The next moment he saw a white flash, and then the magma-covered blade of the scythe cut through his shield like a sheet of paper.
Evan twisted the scythe in his hand so that the blade was at the bottom. Then, with one sharp up-and-down stroke, he sliced through the man's armor and belly. The red-hot magma roasted him alive.
<Great, that's the fifth one. There's not much left. Evan thought and dashed toward the three Summoners Reykar was fighting.>
The raven was wounded, but it wasn't critical. One of his four wings was bleeding, but Reykar would survive even if all his wings and paws were torn off. He was a thrice-evolved monster, and his survivability was beyond human and mage comprehension.
Evan turned into a white flash again, dodging the spells flying at him at the same time. He cast Ball Lighting and quickly turned the blue bolts of lightning into the red.
Boom.
The red charge flew toward the Summoners, and there was a deafening explosion. One of them died instantly, and two were seriously injured. Evan wasn't going to give them a chance to survive, so he quickly cut their heads off.
Evan had already killed eight light mages, and there were just as many more to go. But, suddenly, his hair began to shorten and gradually turn black.
This meant that he still had about thirty seconds left before the power of 70 Demon - Prince Seere completely dried up.
<Okay, that should be enough.> Evan thought.
The blade on his scythe burst into bright flames, and Evan created a huge magma blade with one swing. It quickly reached several mages and sliced them in two.
Magma Blood was a 5-star weapon, so it was no surprise that 3-star armor was next to nothing for a weapon of this level.
Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.
By the time his hair and eyes were back to normal, Evan had killed most of the light mages.. There were only three left against him, one of whom was Sara.
