The sect had engineered it that the life leech is attached to one’s identity so that no one could get out of paying for their life leech. As for whether the sect had made preparations for someone like him who can reduce his cultivation rank on command, he is not sure of it.

’In comparison, I needed two Divine Positions and the heart of a medium world to advance to rank 7. The cost of usage is also 4 years of lifespan every year.

He had eaten the heart of a large world, but most of the force units that he harvested from the heart had gone into his lifespan. This made him estimate that the heart of a medium world would have been enough to help him advance to rank 7.

So he thought, ’It is very easy for me to get two Divine Positions and the heart of a medium world than it is for me to get 1,000 divine merit points, so it is clear which is cheaper and which is more expensive.’

’Even if the World Power Ability is more expensive to upgrade, it is still better because the power it grants is all mine. I can control the World Power Ability however I want, and no one can take its power from me. In my opinion, this makes the World Power Ability worth more than anything the sect will allow me to rent.’

This thought made him chuckle and say, ’At the end of the day, be it here in the Blessed Heaven World or back on Earth, it is always better to be a homeowner than a renter.’

After chuckling, he became serious as he thought, ’The last benefit is that I should be able to use Branch Metacs now that I can curb my Life Fire and use the World Power Ability instead. Divine Metacs still cost some lifespan to use, but Branch Metacs shouldn’t be burned anymore.’

But then he shook his head as he thought, ’However, I don’t think Branch Metacs will be of much use, though. After all, they can’t channel the power of the Cave Heaven even if the World Power Ability won’t burn them.’

’I can give it a try. But I don’t expect it will be of any use.’

By this point in time, the people around him were finally waking up. Their moans and groans drew his attention, so he glanced around the awakening room.

As his gaze swept through the room, he saw Slav. The boy was still unconscious.

Since he had something he wanted to ask the real Slav, he decided not to kill the boy now. Instead, he put a mark on Slav. Then he had Muni take him to register.

After he was registered as a member of the Four Directions Sect, he went to buy a Branch Metac to test it. He wanted to see if he could use Branch Metacs now that he didn’t have a Life Fire.

He didn’t stay in one place to try this experiment, though. As soon as he got five rank 4 Branch Metacs in the city, he went looking for Rusty.

He went looking for Rusty because of his plan for this timeline. So he was on his way to convert Rusty into a puppet when he tried out the Branch Metacs.

When he activated the Branch Metac with the World Power Ability, the power from the force organ was transmitted to the Branch Metac. Then the Branch Metac crumbled.

He saw the Branch Metac crumble because it was overwhelmed by the power of the force organ. So the source of the problem was the lack of structural integrity on the part of the Branch Metac to handle divine power.

He decided to try another Branch Metac to see if the failure was a fluke. But the remaining four Branch Metacs also crumbled when he tried to use them. The five of them became law fragments after crumbling.

This made him shake his head and say, "Their performance is even worse than I expected. They are just too fragile to be useful. It seems the fate of Branch Metacs is to be used as law fragments by divine beings."

He had expected that he would be able to use Branch Metacs, but he would be unable to produce much power from them compared to the power output of Divine Metacs.

After the failure, he quickly forgot about Branch Metacs. In fact, his disappointment was swept away, and his mood became better. This was because he had something good to look forward to in this timeline.

His goal for this timeline is to gain more Divine Positions. According to his calculations, he will need four more Divine Positions to create the third force layer.

Then he will need 100,000 force units or 10,000,000 years of lifespan, or the equivalent in the size of the heart of a world to fill up the third layer.

Once he has fulfilled these requirements, he should be able to advance to rank 8.
