The swordsman stopped some 40 meters away from him and said to themselves, ’I hope it is not a violent divine spirit.’

Before the swordsman could go through with his plan of throwing something into the black sphere, Loki retracted the devouring force field and rushed at the swordsman.

At this point, the swordsman could escape if he wanted to, as there was a considerable distance between them. But he was curious about what Loki was up to, and Loki didn’t look strong, so he decided not to escape.

Then he sneered at Loki and said, “Unfortunately for you, I am not so easy to subdue. I might look like an ordinary divine being, but I am nowhere ordinary.”

“If you don’t believe me, that’s fine. Just wait and see. You will soon find out just how special I am. When I’ve enlightened you, you will then tell me what you’re up to.”

“On second thought, never mind. I will find out for myself what you’re up to when I enter the core of your Cave Heaven.”

He was talking as if he were chatting with a junior or a child. This display of arrogance showed just how little he took Loki seriously.

However, he still didn’t let Loki get close to him without taking action. While he was talking, he raised his sword and brought it down towards Loki.

But instead of stopping and backing off, Loki continued running. He rushed into the storm of swords head-on and clashed with it.

The swordsman was waiting to see him make a fool of himself and be thrown back by the storm of swords. But Loki broke through the storm and caught up to the swordsman.

The swordsman panicked when this happened. He panicked because he thought Loki was a rank 7 or rank 8 cultivator.

He was sure that Loki was either rank 7 or a rank 8 divine being because it was the only feasible option he could think of for why someone with one Divine Metac could overcome an attack that he created with one Divine Metac.

But when Loki’s fist smashed into him, he had to rethink this option because the injury to his body cost him 12 years of healing. This meant that Loki was injuring him with two rank 6 Divine Metacs. So Loki shouldn’t be a rank 7 or rank 8 divine being.

Just as he was wondering what was actually going on with Loki, he was grabbed by the throat by Loki’s hand. Then he was tossed into a lake to burn to death.

Loki used only two rank 6 Divine Metacs to overpower him and force him to drown, even though the swordsman also had two rank 6 Divine Metacs. This was because the two Divine Metacs that Loki used had enhanced his body and increased both the defense and strength of his body.

On the other hand, the two Divine Metacs that the sword cultivator was using could only be used to enhance the power of his sword. So the body of the sword cultivator remained weak, and he became powerless to resist without his sword.

The lack of hesitation made him consider briefly that something might be wrong and that he might have made a mistake. But then he shook his head and said, “He is just too overconfident. He must think that because he was able to wrestle me to the ground with his brute strength, it meant that he could defeat me.”

“At most, he has two Divine Metacs like me, and at most, his Cave Heaven is as big as mine. So, at best, he can match me in strength. That still means I have a 50% chance of winning, and since he is fighting in my Cave Heaven, the odds will be in my favor.”

“So I am not the overconfident one here. He is the overconfident one. I will just have to do my best and show him why they say pride goes before a fall.”

He felt that he had thought everything through. But when the fighting began, he realized that he had been very wrong about everything.

Once Loki got into the swordsman’S Cave Heaven, he stopped holding back. Not only did he start using four Divine Metacs to enhance the power of his body, but he also absorbed and began using the power of the swordsman’S attacks against the swordsman.
