So not only would divine beings not gain anything from interacting with spirit creatures with a different kind of law fragments, but if they do, they will need to spend a lifespan to heal the injury they will sustain from the interaction.

Other divine beings have passive defense because the law fragments in their possession will always reject the law fragments of another kind. This is another benefit of law fragments, other than using them to enhance the power of an attack.

For example, a divine being of the pathway of money with 29,714 law fragments will have an extra amplification of 400%. When such a divine being is attacked by another divine being of the pathway of forging with a total number of law fragments at 75,328 law fragments, their law fragments will try to cancel each other.

The 29,714 law fragments of the Money Pathway will cancel out 29,714 law fragments out of the 75,328 law fragments of the Forging Pathway. This will leave only 45,614 law fragments of the Forging Pathway to amplify the power of the second divine being.

In this case, the 45,614 law fragments of the Forging Pathway are still abundant enough to provide a 400% amplification of power, so the effect of the cancellation won’t be significant. But if the second divine being only had 32,679 law fragments of the Forging Pathway, the outcome would be different.

In the case of 32,679 law fragments of the Forging Pathway, the 29,714 law fragments of the Money Pathway will leave behind 2,965 law fragments of the Forging Pathway after the cancellation. This will cause the enhancement that the second divine being will get from their 32,679 law fragments of the Forging Pathway to fall from 400% to 300%.

So not only will the power of the second divine being be reduced, but every damage that the first divine being sustains from attacks by the second divine being will be easier to heal and will cost less lifespan.

As for him, he won’t be able to suppress others with his law fragments, no matter how many law fragments he has. This is a big thing to miss out on.

Most importantly, without the Power Shifting Ability, he will not have the opportunity to use the ultimate move that he has been keeping in store for a while now. That ultimate move is something that he can never achieve if he had to stick with only one Pathway.

With all of these benefits on his side, he can never regret his situation. In fact, he is sure that other divine beings would kill to be in his position and have what he has.

This thought made him chuckle as he ate more spirit creatures. Then he ate even more spirit creatures.

While he was doing this, he remembered that he could use spirit creatures to earn divine merit points. Since he needed divine merit points to advance to rank 7, he decided to begin exchanging some spirit creatures for divine merit points.

But first, he took out his token to check how many divine merit points he could gain. He wanted to know the exchange rate so that he could calculate how many spirit creatures to take to the heavenly city.
